I love how the reporter made it sound so dramatic. You'd think the kid lost his home or something. He was rwt and got hacked. You'd think if he had a "high level", he's already done SoS, thus knowing to never enter your password on any other site

why would people buy an expensive item if theres a free version that LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME irl ex-would you buy a car for 25k thats brand new or a remake of it (exact same "stats" and still brand new) for free? you be the judge Well, if cars were free, I'd probably take the free one. However, here's a different irl example- comic books. I will never own Action Comics #1, but DC Comics issues a reprint every so often. If I buy the reprint for small money, does that make the the original any less desirable?

Nachos- or whatever I was supposed to say I could see the non tradeable items being made avalable again, but the rare tradeables? Even if Jagex didn't intend for items to become rare, they still did. Punishing those with rares to make everything equal for all players seems a little overboard. What about replicas? What if Jagex offered a "reprint" item on a holiday event? The item would remain untradeable, and would look like the original, but the name would change to (for example) Santa Hat Re-issue.

Man, I get high the old fasioned way, not on RS.

When you feel like fightin', you train strength. That's the secret. Feel like killin' (ice, fire, etc.)giants? That's str training. Wanna get herbs from chaos druids? That's str training. The high scores only give you xp totals- they don't tell you how long it took. Do whatever you want when playing, but if you feel like fightin', that's str training. 8-) Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I keep reading that $5.00 isn't that much money, and I agree- mostly. As someone who has been unemployed for 2 months now, my finances are stretched to the limit (I know, "get a job" you say). That $5.00 is food, heat, electricity, phone, etc. In my area, jobs are scarce and the competition is fierce. How can I justify spending that money on recreation? I know that I'm not the only one in this situation, so don't be so quick to say that any amount is "only" so much. That said, since I prepaid for my members account for a year (6 months to go! :thumbsup: ), I at least don't have to worry about RS for a while...as long as I can afford internet hookup. #-o

Since Jagex gave us a Thanksgiving event this year (a US holiday), I'd like a holiday event from a different country.

I play because I enjoy it. Runescape is a easy way to unwind after a day of work. 8-)
