Ive worked a meaningless retail management job and a basically, all the guy interviewing you wants to know is, Can you be trusted to keep your hands out of the till, Are you legally allowed to work in (insert country), Are you able to get along with customers and other 'sales assistants' (read minions) And are you willing to put in the work or are you enthusiastic enough to pretend like your willing to. This is basically true the world over for the 'fasicinating' world of low-pay donkey work :)
  4. 1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002? To secure a land pipeline between the middle east (read, Saudi Arabia and Iraq) and Europe. 2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003? To secure the worlds largest untapped oilfield and to remove the CIA trained dictator, and to stop them from firing Scuds at Isreal because the Isrealis couldnt afford the multi-billion dollar war themselves. 3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today? A dozen different ethinic and political factions united under their hate and mistrust of the American millitary that have killed over 100,000 Iraqis, and left tons of radioactice DU (delpeted-Uranium) shells scattered across the country. 4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?(exact heading. EX: you can't write he is a guy, or he is a man or stuff like that) Apart from George Bush's distant cousin, the new american boogie man now comunism isnt scary enough. (age 20-30, mostly listening to BBC radio 4, watching most news channels and reading broadsheet newspapers eg, the london times and the gaurdian. Yes im from the UK.)

  9. In the second world war, approximately casualties for each country, Germany Military 3,250,000 Civilian 5,600,000 Italy Military 226,900 Civilian 60,000 Japan Military 1,740,000 Civilian 393,400 France Military 122,000 Civilian 470,000 Britain Military 305,800 Civilian 60,600 United States Military 405,400 Civilian - Russia Military 11,000,000 Civilian 6,700,000 China Military 1,400,000 Civilian 8,000,000 Hitler wasn't the only cause of the most cataclysmic event of human history, but by invading Poland he certainly became one of the biggest. Also (slightly OT) in terms of numbers of bodies, I think that the word 'holocaust' should not be applied to what happened to the Jews.
  10. wtf? As opposed to the 'common' throwing knives, how is a knife tactical?
  11. Ok, instead of the "My real name is Alan.." comments, or "Im only 13" what about slightly deeper things that really matter, such as. But if your just going to say "Your making it up," don't bother. Peace P.S: petrol might smell good :) but it tastes horrible.
  12. +1 nuff sed..
  13. Sorry what part of the thread is pointless? If you read past the (minor) rant, you'll actually find an thought provoking question about the nature of relationships in a digital environment. In answer to the non-spam, I think your runescape friends are (hopefully) like your real friends, people to share mutual interests with and hopefully help each other get along. Ok a million newbs screaming "can you give me x plz?" does start to grate even on the kindest of souls, but setting up some clueless guy now, might mean he doesn't quit and is in a position to help you down the line.
  14. Look sorry every one hates getting out-ranked but you put up with it for when you put in the grind to out rank some other dude, its life if you put in the hours then you get to p*ss on the people that can't be bothered.
  15. Yea but if you abuse anything regularly it can kill you so as long as your not doing it every day I don't see what the problem is.
  16. Yeah that sounds plausible
  17. + 1 like right now, smelting is soo slow :wall:
  18. So the market is always right, so er, its not broken then.
  19. I'll report wc-autoers when im air running most because im bored but for everyone else, ill let the p-mods sort them out.
  20. 6k steel bars smelted for 70 smith, level 35-50 fishing and cooking w00t f2p!
  21. 'back in the day' when the runescape community was smaller, people did seem to get on better because there were less opportunities to as it were connect with other players and so maybe more people took an effort, but I think what your describing is the general sense of anomie (normlessness) thats happening a lot in postmodernistic western society.
  22. I think this picture is fairly standard of the differing shades of bots, thankfully jagex got most of them =)
  23. Level 3 players in lumbridge Saying "selling level 80 account, only 100k!" but only with worse spelling and punctuation :x
  24. No what I mean is should fish (relatively quick xp) and assorted cakes, stews etc (very slow exp,) be separated some how?
