  1. I'm actually more interested as to why he chose the 2nd age of RS, who this mage is and what happened to the mage rather than the rewards from Shattered Heart. Wasn't the 2nd age when Zaros was still around? Also, a heart rune? A forgotten type of rune? I don't think we'll get new spells but there might some interesting back story about what kind of magic was used during the 2nd age. Maybe even more forgotten runes. I agree, the fact that the backstory is dealing with the Second Age matters more to me too than the whole reward aspect. We virtually know nothing about that Age. By the way that was indeed the period when Zaros was still here. I'm still waiting for Kudos Isle too, that thing's bound to be a treasure of information as well. By the way, as I was reading the Funorb news item it occured to me that that game may contain a lot of new info. Does anyone here play AoG?
  2. YOU WIN THE INTERNET! =] That is a huge find... IF this mysterious force really is an earthquake. I've read all posts in this topic and I'm still not sure whether it's a quake or not. The only thing I've seen is a red glow...
  3. Actually, I'm pretty sure that was an Halloween event from... 07, since I remember that place and I wasn't playing in 05... I could be wrong, but I think it was the event with the ghost gun or w/e... You had to shoot stuff at ghosts. It has the painting tables and marionette parts, and I'm pretty sure they weren't there in the Halloween '06 event. Actually, when I was a noob, the '06 event was the first I partook in. I was wondering why there were paint buckets, and, on the lower floor, parts of marionettes, when you couldn't do anything with them. But they definitely were there in the H'ween event :P The pixie workshop was the setting for both the 2005 Christmas event and the Halloween event of '06.
  4. I don't think there was any talk about a 'ghost ship' of any kind during or after the strange power event... :? But about your pic, could you clarify where you took it? Because there exists a shipwreck in the wildy very close to the Rogue's Castle. It's on the north face of the 'Dragonkin Castle' ruins peninsula.
  5. You were right Xec, that IS an epic find! Although I have no idea what role it will play in an upcoming quest...
  6. But I love my hand! ... Anyway, it seems like a hoax until more sightings pour in.
  7. It sort of depends on yourself; if you read the Official Forums, Tipit Forums or the RS Wiki you will know every little thing about an update that just took place. If you choose to avoid such places the update will be a complete mystery, and that is what I try to do.
  8. It was never said zaros had and army but no evidence for the other is present either. So with that, when in doubt, go with the more logical choice. Objection! During the Ghostly Robes miniquest, we learn that Zaros had a lot of different beings under his control, including all sorts of demons, Mahjarrat, Dragon Riders and many many more. Haven't done ghost robes quest in years. Jagex needs to give you a journal to recall stuff from quests. All the lore that you've learned under different sections. Like on Zaros, the mahjarrat, the god wars, and other things you learn from quests to remember storylines. Maybe even write in steps to puzzles for helping friends. Runescape wikia has a pretty good knowledge base I'm flattered Sarge  But I'm way too late and Misterknowitall hit the nail on the head; Zaros had a considerable army composed of Mahjarrat and many other races. Vigorra, the last ghost in the Ghostly Robes miniquest tells us this. Zaros was banished a while before the God Wars began and the bulk of his force was either wiped out, converted or simply switched sides. Zaros wasn't a real participant in the Third Age, which was mostly filled with practically every other God fighting for supremacy, the Godsword and (possibly) the Stone of Jas.
  9. Which could mean fish become more expensive as there will be less people training cooking on them. Which is a win for fishers. Wouldn't the opposite be more likely? raw fish becoming cheaper? as less fish is needed to get cooking up? and you say less ppl= less demand= price drop? Was thinking the exact same thing... EDIT: Although Paw Claw has a point
  10. Ooh new chatheads for dwarves! :3 I hope they aren't as stretched as the Gnome ones, then they'll be fine.
  11. I just want a new Sea Slug quest so I can make a "This is your brain on slugs!" joke. I want a new Sea Slug quest so we can finally get acolyte armor. Palindrome in the hint = Palingrad, capital of penguins?
  12. Yes this is correct (except I believe Saradomin is law) but I didn't feel like typing out some long paragraph. Yes, Armadyl has never done anything evil according to the little information we have on him so far, but Saradomin is far from perfect. His followers teamed with those of Zamorak to hunt down the last powerful Zarosians and eliminate the Zarosian empire, and then practically erased it from history. I guess what I'm trying to say is Jagex's characters are not one-sided, and actually have some depth (well most of them do - I've been hearing some ugly things about Nomad's Requiem ;) ). So you can't really call a war between the Gods "black and white". I may be wrong, but unless there is some large plot in the works or a connection I have missed, the only solid connection to the GWD is the number 4. You got it wrong. Saradomin is the god of order, and Armadyl is the god of law. Armadyl is the God of Justice.
  13. You may have something here. Black and white; Morytania and Misthalin (and the other lands). Although a recent letter answered by a Vampyre showed that the Vampyres aren't really Zamorakian, Drakan only helped Zamorak for his own gain. But you still could be right, together with the 'temple in between' part. The Paterdomus Temple sits on the boundary of these regions. But what about the 'good mysteries come in four' part? There already are four Myreque quests, so this one would be number five. Anyway, it won't be a Grandmaster quest. I think Morytania stretches the sentence a little bit. The way the semicolon is placed in the sentence implys the second part of the sentence is the same idea as the first by describing it. So it saying: There are no less and no more than 4 pieces (which are black and white). Inbetween the 4 pieces may lie a temple. Black and white is commonly used to refer to the terms good and evil. Stating that "the game is void, and no grandmasters here" sound like it implies that the temple is not related to anything, it won't be a quest. From my point of view I get the feeling it is talking about the God Wars Dungeon. There are 4 pieces (factions) in the Godwars dungeon, and they are all either good or evil. There is no grey or neutral color in the dungeon. Inbetween the 4 pieces (factions) lies a temple, which could be the godwars dungeon door. The door will open not by a quest, but by other means. Possibly a new boss area or something else. Another possibility of the game void, is the literal meaning: the game void. Below is an except from Wiki about the game. It's curious because the game void has to do with colors starting with black and white. It may, or may not be a connection.[/hide] It's kinda late so this post is shorter than my usual rambling. I'll read yours again tomorrow  Just wanted to say that the entrance to the God Wars Dungeon IS a temple... Although now only the ruins remain.
  14. You may have something here. Black and white; Morytania and Misthalin (and the other lands). 15. I mentioned that too, everyone seems to have missed it >_> Oops sorry  I double-checked to see if anyone mentioned, and must've missed your post! All credit goes to you!
  16. The third clue is talking about black and white pieces, and contains the words 'void' and 'temple' too. Maybe in hints towards the White, Black, Void and Temple Knights, like Senty and Taco said. There's four om them, like in the clue.
  17. Duuuuude, that would be awesome! I certainly think the Dragonkin will have something to do with the upcoming Ritual. Jagex wouldn't use the term 'kith and kin' without hinting at the Kin. They were tasked by Jas to guard his Stone, and lucien stole it. Time for some bloodshed me thinks. Not to mention that the Dragonkin may be the only ones strong enough to pose a threat to him.
  18. As I said earlier, 'judges' = Mahjarrat. The Pharaoh Queen said they were called the Stern Judges in ages past. They're members of the same race and are going to fight in the upcoming Ritual. By the way, it's strange to see Enakhra deny that Dragon Riders exist, as they do... Must've been a fault on Jagex's part.
  19. EDIT: Judge mean Mahjarrat -> 'The Stern Judges'
  20. Maybe his name is the key: Cgylo Ekcjaintd C (zero steps right is) C, E is E G (one step is) H, K is L Y (two steps is) A, C is E L (three steps is) O, J is M O (four steps is) S, A is E I (five steps to the right is) N N (six steps to the right is) T T (seven steps to the right is) A D (eight steps to the right is) L Chaos Elemental So maybe the other sentences have something to do with shifting the letters to the right or something. Edit: D'oh, too slow -.-
  21. That one is more interesting than it looks. It's probably just a flier that went down there. To me, it hints that theses pages are not all that ancient. Maybe some sort of magic in the caverns are making them age more than they would outside. Could not have been deliberately aged like the bronze items we gave to simmons, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered ageing the flier as well. They can't really be ancient, otherwise how would this page get in there? Bob can't be that old. Unless Bob is a mahjarrat. That is a question worth exploring... Everyone seems to be mahjarrats these days. :P The answer to your problem is simple: Bob's flier was only recently left there, while other pages are older. Nobody said all the pages were lost there at once or that they belonged to the same book.
  22. TET is hawt :D

    [/randompost]

  23. Sorry to break it to you but... it's just total nonsense. There is not a shred of evidence anywhere about all of this. The almighty and all-knowing Misterknowitall is right about this being something made up by a wanna-be historian *cough*.
