UPDATE: I got the vaccine, and the major survey results will be in next week. I got the nasal spray thing, despite my cynacism. My eyes burns, and my sinus aren't functioning properly. Other than that, I feel alright. I'll update first post when survy results come in

OP has a good point. I like my women liberal, but feminism usually crosses the border to insanity. I don't want to be with an unfeminine girl. I want a nice home maker wife (someday). I understand women don't want to be opressed, but defying man(men) isn't the way to do it. Feminists also have a habit of degrading man(men) by acting more "manly" in comparison. I understand portions of the feminist mentality, but it's true - There's nothing wrong with being a nice housewife/care giver. I think they're just nuts because they don't want girls to think they have to be a homemaker. I'm not saying they have to be either, but most people are better off with the roles they naturally belong in.

(why the sudden change in heart?) If you straight up ask her, it might be awkward. But if you hang out with her, act like yourself, but more flirty (throw yourself at her if it comes to it) something might click in her head that you're into her. If she follows suit, then ask. If she seems awkward or secluded in your suduction attempts, you best leave it be.

I love how we go through phases on this thread where people stop playing the game and discuss ideas. I'm only partially being sarcastic, too. I'm guilty of it to, it's just funny to read 5 pages of "I think we should go in this direction" as opposed to "I research project x"

Isn't the whole thing an alternate history in itself? I mean, its well past the year 2100, and I guratentee none of the stuff we did will happen. Even going back to 2009, some of the alliances and trade agreements simply wouldn't happen. That's not really history, but it's the threads history. What did you have in mind? Like having the Nazis win?

Starting hegemony over isn't that complicated. We just have to cope with the fact that we will lose everything that we've been doing since this version of it. For some of us, thats quite a lot. Honestly, I consider all of the people playing right now winners. We'vve stuck it out. We're still posting, and still playing. Dozens have picked it up and dropped out, but we stuck with it. We won. Now it's time for round 2 (or three, if you're going by thread)

OP, I'm right there with you. Not just in the self diagnosis (which isn't correct) but with the behavior. There have been a million instances where I've considered myself bi-polar due to my extreme highs and lows. The thing is, bi-polar disorder doesn't swing frequently, it's MONTHS of one or the other. You're just moody and hormonal, likely from puberty. I'm in the same boat, and I agree. It sucks. Music helps me for a small amount of time, but eventually I just get frustrated or over emotional. Friends are easily the best medicine. I'm lucky enough to have friends that I can just randomly call up and hang out with to cheer me up. Unfortunatly, most if not all of them will disappear from my life post-college. Not a fun prdicament. I think what you and I both need is something concrete to live for. Something that makes us feel proud and respected. Agree?

I regret not being more social in my early stages of life. Ironically, I blame Runescape, which is more or less the reason why I'm even posting on here. interesting :-k I confess that I am lonely. Unlike some of the previous posters, I've had lcuk with women in the past, but I've hit a dry spell. And my last girlfriend took a large chunk of my social group with her when we broke up. I feel stuck, and alone. It's both boring and frustrating. And I feel helpless because I can't seem to do anything about it. And I feel too bloody old to change. I confess that I don't fit in with most people my age, and that I prefer the presence of those a bit younger. I like their innocence and nativity. Something my peers lack drastically. Something I want to keep wth me forever.

I honestly dont really want to do this. I think we are at a managable level and it would make pointless the decisions of certain people. Also this is just the lull before a storm... If I had to I could probably spark a war just to keep things interesting though. I think we should get Hegemony 1 back as a seperate thread (not revice the old one, but start anew) and put it in the Offtopic. I know thats not where it belongs, but we had a lot more "new" people when it was out there. Then whe we get enough players, we can move it back into here. Maybe if we restrain ourselves and not post 10 pages within a day, people won't be so inclined to quit.

This is ideal. But are you sure the intimacy and closeness of sex won't spark some long-term attraction (essentially a love)? Well, if you happe nto be very bad at sex, you're in luck :D Potentially, yes sex can lead to a spark. But from what I can tell that is usually inherited from pasionate "love making". "Dirty sex" (I'm sure you know what I mean) would probably not lead to such a connection. Probably. But if you're good at it, she may call you again anyway for more. Not nesesarily for love. I think before having sex, if you stress the point that you aren't looking for a relationship or a liability, and she still wants to have sex with you, all will be fine.
