  1. Well, it's really a personal choice. There's a trade-off there; I personally would find rocktail an easy choice, except that I hate Agility. :) If you value money and XP equally, rocktail is a no-brainer. They catch very quick even when you can just barely get them. I outline several different variations on leaping fish catching and have full tables comparing various alternatives in my Skill Optimization Guide (which is where I got the numbers from that I put here), but that's a member's only feature of my site so I can't duplicate the whole thing here.
  2. About 38k/hr for rocktail, 33k/hr for cavefish.
  3. It is two-way. And yes, waterfiends are the best choice for crimsons, unless you want to blow tons of money on rock lobsters.
  4. Jagex has made it clear *repeatedly* that if you want to make a character with certain skills deliberately restricted, that this is your choice, but it means some content will be unavailable to you. It's really very simple.
  5. Neither is the case. You can be assigned them as long as you have started ME2 and can access them.

These are much easier to do now that there's a fairy ring in the area. Just wear Karil's, use a crush weapon and bring a beast of burden with food.
  7. Dried zombies and skeletons in the Scabaras area drop noted steel bars. So do barbarian spirits in the ancient cavern. Neither are worth fighting for those drops, though.
  8. 7 days? 7 hours? Try one hour. http://runescoop.com/html/rs_TheRuneScoopDynamicMoneymakingGuideforRuneScape.htm
  9. The answer is simple: yes. It's a tool. You buy a tool because of the benefit you will get for it, not as an investment. If you really plan to go to 99 Mining, how many hours is that? How many hours of utter mind-numbing boredom will you save if you can do it even 10% faster? I haven't tested my d pick extensively yet, but I did test it on pure essence, and it was 11% faster. My guess is that it is similar for other ores as well. I tested pure essence because its mining rate is continuous. If you want to test it on other ores you need to mine a LOT of them to get a proper sense of things (not just 10!)

Chaos druids are still the king of herbs. The other options mentioned are also good -- spectres are very close -- but regular old chaos druids are the fastest if you do them right. Always use a macaw with herb droppers. Period. Most monsters that drop the standard 11 herbs drop them in the same percentages. There are a handful of monsters that drop only one type of herb (like fever spiders) or that have a strong drop bias (cave bugs).
  11. Those are icefiends you're referring to. No, the icefiends are level 132. I've seen several references to level 134 waterfiends but don't see any anywhere.
  12. Okay I just did the quest (after doing 6 quests I neede to do it!) and finished it. There are supposed to be level 134 waterfiends in there but I can't find them. Any ideas?
  13. Thanks Ambler. Umoria, based on those skills, I'd check out the high level index of my Moneymaking guide. You'll find lots of ideas there, most of which you should be able to do.
  14. Also be aware that if you pray range against the cannoneers, they melee you. The hits are not for much, but there is some damage.
  15. What are your levels? What do you enjoy doing?
  16. There's a mistake on the official guide -- you don't need the quest.
  17. This is one area where being with more people is helpful. It has no impact on your XP rates, and more players means less chance of being picked on by the monsters. I go to World 2 for this, there is also a special designated world for it. I would go straight for gold -- 35-40 kXP/hr is possible.
  18. You don't need to have done Smoking Kills to use a leaf-bladed sword -- and you should, it is much better.
  19. Well, it's ridiculously rare, from what I hear. And killing them is quite tedious. Your choice, of course. :)

You can find everything you need to know here. Good luck!
  21. Get rid of it before the mass delusion that is causing so many people to assign high value to a valueless item wears off and it crashes in value.
  22. Bear in mind, though, that you can't switch equipment while in combat. Also, their safe spot is gone, which makes them rather less than worthwhile to kill at this point.
  23. It's probably not true. But the way things seem to work in RS is that you only get noticeable improvements in speed when you get far above the minimum, which of course isn't really possible with magic trees. There is so much randomness involved that the difference between levels get swamped. But there is a difference.
  24. They are very similar in terms of both XP and the value of the fish you get.
