Regarding 'junk'
The "junk" phenomenon represents the RS equivalent of a black market. Black markets *always* spring up when free trade is inhibited. Many people who understand economics predicted that this would happen the day the GE was released. Unfortunately, Jagex doesn't seem to care about the mess the GE has made of free trade, and how that in turn has made the game less interesting for a lot of people. It's been nearly two years now, and there are many ways they could improve things a great deal, but they don't.

Surge Spells- What About f2p?
There's really no flaming required. Non-members do not pay for the design, programming, implementation, testing and management work required for new features. It is therefore illogical to say they "should" get anything.

Steel bars to c balls
That's very close to what I've measured as well, 540/hr.

Summoning help
Dust devils are one of those monsters that everyone recommends for mid-high levels for charms, but in reality they are quite overrated. You're better off fighting any of these if Summoning XP is what you're after: earth warriors, nechryaels, black demons, greater demons, dagannoths.

Tip.it Times 15 November 2009
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Little_Red_Hen I've been involved in setting up, running and contributing to Internet communities for close to 20 years. And no matter what the topic, no matter who the members, there is always one common thread: lots of takers and few givers. While I've contributed to the Tip.it Times before, I don't know the people who run Tip.it. But my guess is that they have put in countless hours to make this site what it is. And I doubt they're getting rich off it. The people who write articles for this site and contribute in other ways do it because they love it, and because they feel the site is important. They don't owe you an article every week. They don't owe you *anything*. If you don't like what you see on a site, then do something about it: contribute. Write an article yourself. Identify someone on the forums who makes a good post and encourage them to turn it into an article. Come up with some ideas for others to write about. Sitting around going "lame" or whining about not wanting to see "advertisements" while doing nothing yourself to pitch in just makes you one of the barnyard animals.

fish to waters
The number of water runes given is a random number from 1 to the number of HP the fish heals when cooked. So for salmon it is 1 to 9, for lobsters 1 to 12, and so on. You can use this when fly fishing to get water runes from the trout and salmon, for example. But it is very slow and hard on the wrist. With higher-level fish you lose a lot of money.

Dust Devil Possible Nerf?
In my past tests I've found the following: 141 kills, 14/6/38/1 151 kills, 23/7/33/1 Gold/Green/Crimson/Blue Seems about right.

17th November 2009 - Potions, Spells and Runes
I'm pretty sure they used to have it but for some reason was taken out sometime during this year. In the last few weeks I have noticed it so much and it has really been annoying me. Unless for some reason it never bothered me before and only recently? As someone who has been wanting this for years, I assure you this is new. :)

More GE fun
Whatever you saw with spikes, they undid, as they are back to 700ish.

So I Broke My Bank...
Actually, 2 herbs is enough per trip, even using a pack yak. This is one of the few places where a war tortoise is worth its excessive cost -- use the best BoB you can. Make sure you have a portal right next to the altar room.

Steel dragons
With your skills, yes. With his skills, doubtful. The reason I recommend maging here is that maging is generally going to cost you money one way or another. This is a good way to "kill two birds with one stone", so to speak.

Steel dragons
At your level I would mage them from a distance with antifire potions and you should be fine. Slow, but decent mage XP. Take with food just in case, and be careful. :)

RSC Trial-Period Over
I think Jagex (correctly) feels that most players really don't have much interest in it. Unless you're an older player for whom it holds nostalgic interest, it doesn't really have a lot of appeal, IMO.

Suggested Levels for Waterfiends
As others said, you aren't really high enough level for waterfiends. Try Dharoking earth warriors in the Chaos Tunnels. They are very underrated.

What's fastest way to make money?
At 99 you can get over 400 mahogany logs per hour, plus a half dozen or so special logs worth 19.5k each. It's the best option right now.

What's fastest way to make money?
Mahogany.

Skills
Zaaps, Thanks for the link to my site. :) I appreciate it, and I do think folks will find it useful. I think you have the money quantity confused with "favor". If your coffers are too low you get fewer resources per day, but that money is still effectively utilized if you keep favor near 100%. In other words, if you have 750k and 50% favor, half your money gets wasted, but with 375k and 100% favor, all the money is used efficiently, you just only get half as much stuff.

Mith dragons
Sorry, didn't notice that. Range them. Your best ranged gear, ruby enchanted bolts to start, then diamond, Eagle Eye prayer, with protection from ranged. Bring food and prayer pots.
-
Mith dragons
Your levels are too low to effectively kill mith dragons. With a full inventory of supplies you could kill one or two, but it's not really a great idea.

Questions for prayer (Answered)
I wouldn't assume bone prices will go down if there's a big prayer update. If it is a new way of training they could go down. If it is new high-level prayers they will go up (priced a dwarf weed lately?) You can make money in tons of ways. I have a huge new moneymaking guide on my new site with hundreds of methods, index tables, full descriptions etc.

P2P -> F2P
If you're planning to continue playing intensively consider, whether downgrading membership really makes sense. To save a few dollars a month, you're going to spend *dozens* of extra hours grinding away at boring tasks. It is probably a better move to keep membership, play more efficiently, and find a way to earn a few extra bucks.

Oh man oh man oh man..
Yes, it's natural after losing a big chunk of change to feel depressed and consider quitting. I think most of us have done it. My first bit of advice though has to do with your approach, which seems almost mechanical in nature. Remember, this is a game, not a jo. There are no time limits, no achievements you "must" get to, etc. You seem to be stressing yourself out, and it's completely unnecessary. The good news is that making money in RS these days is easy. For a high-level player there are literally dozens of ways to make 250k, 500k or even more per hour. My new Dynamic Moneymaking Guide is a good place to get some ideas. Good luck.

War tortoise
Yes, they will always come in to attack if in a multi area. BTW, with very few exceptions, you lose money using a tortoise compared to a terrorbird, because those extra 6 slots are costing you 12,000 gp.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Maybe. But the thing with collectibles is that they usually keep going up. I was into Magic the Gathering when it started in the early 90s. I ended up selling all of my rare cards figuring eventually people would wake up and nobody would want to pay $200 for a black lotus. So much for that...
