  1. I used "aviansies" because that's what they are called in the game. I don't know why Jagex uses two names for them, but referring to them with a name only used in KB articles would be rather pointless.
  2. Actually, I just made that number up.
  3. Thanks for asking. There are exactly 9,481,282.
  4. You DO realize how ridiculously easy it is to fake something like that, right?
  5. It's possible that I misunderstood, but I read his/her comments as saying he/she would prefer a sara sword over a sara GS straight up. I've certainly heard other people say this. Anyway, I don't care what people want to use, but so many of the opinions tossed around about high-end items are from people who have never used them and just don't know what they can do. For example, I've seen comments like "the sara GS is the worst one for dueling", which is pretty funny to anyone who has used one in a no-food spec-on duel and seen the reaction of his or her opponent. ;)
  6. They'd be screwing over regular players a lot more than the gold farmers.
  7. Then you don't know what the SGS can do. Simple as that.
  8. Heh.. you got lucky a "few months ago". I've killed about 150 of those things in my RS career and never gotten anything but tokkul. ;)
  9. Jordanweb, as I said right at the start, this isn't a competition, and I didn't "steal" anything from you. My guides are long and detailed, and the main place where they are found is on my site. I published part of it here as a courtesy to those who might be interested in a slightly different technique, such as using the poison bolts or maging.
  10. Amusingly, you don't actually need the book on you to add a page to the book, just click on it. ;)
  11. There's an ineresting bit of projection that goes on with respect to Runescape rares. Some players think that having rares in the game is a "big problem", so they assume that Jagex must also and that therefore they are trying to find ways to "fix it". But is it *really* a big problem? I mean, as someone else said, does the existence of rares impact any normal players? By this I mean regular people, not the people who are obsessed with getting rares because they think it will make them important. In the real world, does it bother me that Bill Gates and Warren Buffett and Larry Ellison and the Sultan of Brunei (and other rich people) are paying $100 million for paintings, or bidding up the prices of private jets? I mean, how does this affect me in any way, unless I get it into my head that *I* need to have a $100 million painting or a private jet? The problem here isn't with rares, it is with the people who obsess over them.
  12. {Note: Yes, I know there's another aviansies guide here; mine is different, so now you have two choices. No, I didn't copy that one, I've been fighting aviansies since the first week of the GWD and have been working this guide for weeks. ~q} TruthScape Monster Secrets - Aviansies, the Perfect Magic/Ranged Training Monster This is a much shortened version of a comprehensive guide to ranging and maging aviansies; you can find the complete guide at my site. This summary focuses on the details of how to get to the dungeon and how to fight using the multiple monster prayer method. The full guide has tons more detail, including pictures of aviansies, drop lists, profit and XP analysis, strategy discussions, maging technique and a lot more. Aviansies Magic/Ranged Training Guide - Location, Access, Positioning and World Selection Here's the information you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll need to know about getting to the aviansies, choosing a world for combat, finding a place to fight, and dealing with other players. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll approach the subject of location sequentially, first describing where the God Wars Dungeon (GWD) is located, then how to get to it, how to enter the dungeon, and finally where to go within it. Location of the God Wars Dungeon The God Wars Dungeon is buried below the frozen wastes of the far northern part of RuneScape. The entrance is marked by temple ruins, which are located north of Trollheim and southeast of the Ice Path. The ruins also lie just west of the Forgotten Cemetery at around level 30 of the Wilderness. Getting to the God Wars Dungeon The ruins that contain the entrance to the GWD may only be accessed from an area to the south, which is located just north of Trollheim. There are two ways to get here: using a short and easy route, or a longer and more difficult path. The figure below shows the area of RuneScape south of the dungeon, and illustrates the routes to its entrance. The short route requires access to the Trollheim Teleport spell, which is a reward for completing the quest Eadger̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Ruse. To use this route (shown in green above), you can prepare yourself at any bank, then follow these steps: 1. Cast Trollheim Teleport. This will leave you near the top of the Trollheim mountain. 2. Go a little bit to the northwest and down the agility shortcut there. 3. Now click on the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åouter ring̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  13. On the summary map all of Barrows is one region. The larger map splits up the Barrows area into smaller regions. I can't put the viewer here, but the detail map is located at this link: http://www.truthscape.com/w2large
  14. Sounds like a rollback. Weird.
  15. but, cant they? i mean they are trying to buy it alot? also, how many of them have 85 slayer? its not 0, and its not all. By definition, merchants aren't end consumers of the items they buy. They only buy them to resell.
  16. How hard does the mask hit? Sorry, don't mean to be snarky, but I never understand people who won't buy fun and useful items like the GS because it's "too expensive" but they *will* spend 30m+ on something completely useless... dont understand investments? sorry to be honest. In a game that supposed to be played for fun? Nope, I guess I don't. Goes along with not understanding why so many people are obsessed with wealth in the game. I mean, how many ways are there to make 2-3 mil + a day in this game? Dozens. Oh, and I guarantee you that I made a lot more money off my godswords than you ever will from your red mask. ;)
  17. How hard does the mask hit? Sorry, don't mean to be snarky, but I never understand people who won't buy fun and useful items like the GS because it's "too expensive" but they *will* spend 30m+ on something completely useless...
  18. I predict that every prediction about this thing will turn out to be worthless since we don't know how they will implement it. How much it gets used, and what impact it has on prices, depends entirely on the details. Even small differences in how it works will have a huge impact. The speculation may be fun, but it really doesn't mean anything.
  19. Sorry, but it's not that simple. The analysis you quoted is like using theoretical benchmarks to say one piece of hardware is better than another -- those who have used these weapons in the real world know differently.
  20. Merchants are middlemen. They cannot create demand or supply for an item. They have the ability to temporarily influence prices, and they certainly do make it harder for buyers and sellers to get good deals. But they cannot make an entire market go down -- only an imbalance of supply and demand can do that.
  21. Merchants have absolutely nothing to do with the price of whips. Items go down in value because more of them come into the game than people who need them, simple as that.
  22. My advice.. you'll ignore it but here it is anyway... Nothing. Make money while raising skills. It's more rewarding, less tedious and helps you in the long run.
  23. Total waste of herbs.
  24. Sorry, but there's not much here that makes even a tiny bit of sense. You *severely* overestimate how many players engage in merchanting. I don't think the GE will "ruin" merchanting, but if it did, I'd say 90% of players would consider that a good thing. RuneScape is an incredibly valuable asset worth *billions* of dollars. There is absolutely no scenario under which Jagex would just shut it down. They are developing MechScape as an addition to RS, not a replacement. That's not how things work.
  25. The "blessed" god dragonhide sets are all basically trimmed black dhide.
