  1. Okay, so they did the obvious thing and removed the gathering skills that never should have been there at all. That's good, but does anyone know if they corrected any of the other issues?
  2. TBH, your levels are far too low for going after the bosses unless you're with a large group. Sorry.
  3. Hoo boy, a few wrong answers here. Regular restore pots do not restore HP or prayer. Super restore pots DO restore prayer but do NOT restore HP. That's why they are expensive -- they are like a regular restore plus a prayer pot (and you even get 1 more prayer point than a prayer pot.)
  4. That's called "bait and switch". If someone does that, I don't trade with them. Period. Only way to send a message that it's not acceptable. As for trading location, it's really just a matter of being reasonable, given what's being bought or sold. Usually I offer to either switch worlds or teleport; if the other person is making a trade I really want, I'll do both. If it's obvious that I'm doing them the favor -- a small trade, which I hate -- I expect them to come to me.
  5. How about Guthix prayer robes?
  6. Fleshcrawlers are, IMO, better than chaos druids. Level 2 of the Security Stronghold. They drop at least as many herbs, and also dust runes (very useful), noted iron ore and other goodies.
  7. So, telling them that you want to Pk with them, bringing them deep, killing them and taking their items when you had said that you wouldn't, is perfectly fine? That's just lying to somebody to obtain their items. Is this any different from the "trust game" where they lie to you to take you items? NO! I didn't say it was "perfectly fine". I think it's wrong -- but then I think most of what goes on in the Wild is wrong. I just believe Jagex doesn't consider this luring in the same sense as trying to get someone into the Wild when that person didn't think they were going into the Wild. Let's face it -- lying in the Wild goes on all the time. There's really no way to get rid of all of it without shutting the whole place down. By voluntarily going into that place -- and you had an intention to PK yourself -- you automatically make yourself a target.
  8. The Saradomin Godsword is the best weapon in RuneScape.
  9. Well, my understanding of the rules is that it does, unfortunately. You could always try asking Jagex what their thought du jour is on this. LOL
  10. Telling someone you want them to join your PKing team and then backstabbing them is not against the rules.
  11. My views, having looked at the luring issue for some time. While both luring and backstabbing are dishonest and cowardly, they are NOT the same. The difference has to do with the intent of the victim to enter the Wild. You went into the Wild willingly, in order to join a team to attack other people. In so doing, you made yourself a potential victim as well, by going with people you didn't know well. That is not the same as being lured into the Wild when you didn't want to go there and didn't think you would be going there. (Of course the ditch has stopped a lot of Wild lures, regardless of all the whining about it.)
  12. Cannoning ice trolls. About 45k XP per hour and awesome drops that pay for the cannonballs AND let you make a profit. And a lot less boring than plinking one monster at a time. Example drops from two trips of about 30 minutes each:
  13. There is no profit in making and alching yew longbows. The profit is in the resource skills that support it: cutting the yews, picking the flax, spinning the flax, mining the ess and crafting the natures. If you take the value of all those resources and compare that to the 768 you get from the bow, that part actually loses money.
  14. Define 'effective'. Using veracs saves you alot of runes "Effective" = "Waste less time standing around or using up prayer pots". Doing the Barrows faster means you get rewards faster, and that covers the cost of the runes.
  15. Slayer dart is more effective than Veracs on the melee brothers even when you have level 95+ Attack and Strength.
  16. There are two different guides to aviansies on Tip.it: Jordanweb's: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=708158 Mine: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=714860 I've killed thousands of these things and tried every method imagineable, including Guthans. IMO, it is far from ideal for several reasons that can be summed up simply: time is money. Switching armor and healing with Guthans is slow. In the time you are doing all that, you are losing out on XP and drops. Too many people only look at the cost side of the equation and not the opportunity cost (same reason people use junky bone bolts because they are "cheap" ;) ) Remember that if you have the Trollheim Teleport spell, it's only 90 seconds from any bank to the aviansies. You do not need to spend 8 hours down there... and if you try, you're going to waste a lot of valuable drops.
  17. Actually, this would be a very smart idea on Jagex's part. They can easily analyze both average and median hours played per month and price things so that those who play often keep paying per month and others pay as they go.
  18. I'm afraid that you guys are being played. The real distinctions between the Republicans and Democrats are far, far less than they'd like you to believe. They are differentiating themselves in the hopes of getting elected, and that's pretty much it. It was only a year ago that the Democrats swept into power in Congress, in part based on promises of withdrawing or reducing involvement in Iraq. What have Pelosi and company done in that regard? Why, absolutely nothing. And neither will any of the Democratic presidential candidates if elected, at least not in any hurry. I'm sure "some day" we (hopefully) will pull out of Iraq, but the timing is based on issues that go well beyond any political promises. The only possible exception to this would be if someone of principle (i.e. Ron Paul) were elected, but that's not going to happen. Don't believe what politicians say, believe what they do.
  19. I'm curious about something. I just killed some brutal green dragons... and most of them had more than 175 hp, but not all the same. Do they differ slightly by individual or just regenerate fast? Be grateful if you could check as I haven't done the second Lunar quest yet. :) The one right by the entrance would be a good one to check as it seems to have 181. Thanks.
  20. I didn't realize you were the person who invented pluralizing something by putting an "s" on the end. I'm truly in the presence of greatness. ;) Sorry, not really following you there. For the single method, bone bolts work fine. They also have the advantage that you don't need to even pick them up unless you feel like it, as they are so cheap. But you will make more money and get more XP with addy bolts. Even though they cost a lot more, you make up for the cost with the added kills, and you get XP around 10% faster. The multiple method with prayer and enchanted emerald bolts is the best, even with the p pot cost. Again, it's all about the extra drops. Thanks to everyone who has commented.
  21. My guess is that this is due to the new assist system. You may need to pot back up when picking too.
  22. The answer is "it depends". Which godsword, etc.. and you can't just ignore the specials, they matter a lot.
  23. The board has a flood prevention feature that limits how frequently you can make posts, and I understand why. But for some reason it also seems to apply to PMs, which means that if you have a bunch of them, it takes forever to reply to them all. Any chance this could be modified? Thanks. :)
  24. What exactly is so "ownage" about the Saradomin (non-GS) Sword? It looks to me like the single most overrated piece of equipment to come out of the GWD.
  25. Aviansies, if you can access the God Wars Dungeon. Make up to 500k per hour, and no randoms.
