The problem here, like with Burger King hats and so many other things, is insecure people who want things to show off or "get respect". It's a ridiculous concept. You don't get respect from objects, but from how you treat others. There might be exceptions for certain rare capes, but really, what are you respecting here, the number of hours someone plays a game? Some people do like to get 99s quickly, others don't care. I'm combat level 121 with around 1900 total and I just got my first 99 last week.

Jellies are vastly overrated. Everyone says "jellies" so it spreads around, but the reality is that they are not particularly good clue droppers. The best monsters for clues are the higher level slayer monsters, in my experience. Dragons are also pretty good.

You're mistaken. He can hit well into the 20s and perhaps even over 30 at full health.

Suit yourself, but remember that time is money. Doing it faster means you get more rewards, and the value of those rewards more than pays for the cost of p pots and other enhancements. I've done the math as part of my extensive new Barrows guide (see sig) and every time, the fastest methods also make the most money.

There will never be any money in making prayer pots, because people are willing to lose a small amount to get the herblore XP.

Well, I used to be a big fan of this minigame. But to be honest, it is in desperate need of an overhaul and update. 1. The crafting XP is more like 20k an hour, not 25k. It's good for getting XP while allowing you to devote 90% of your attention to other things, but that's all. 2. The prayer XP used to be a good alternative to burying bones or the ectonfuntus, but is now very slow for the time required when compared to a gilded altar. 3. The chest rewards are out of date. Too many addy spears, mith plateskirts and other garbage even when burning the top shades on magic pyres. 4. Splitbark is no longer as sought after as it was even last year, due to new alternatives.

Sorry, but wrong. The Sara GS spec is FAR more useful in training than the DDS spec.

I just got my first cape.. an untrimmed HP cape. Nothing worthy of "respect" but at least it's pretty uncommon. ;) And I do think the fact that some capes are so common is why they are no longer "respected". Same goes for the fire cape, actually.

The prices go up and down. Overall they are still higher than the first week they came out. The Sara GS is going to go up again once more people realize just how incredibly useful it is, for both PvP and PvM. I can do even high level slayer assignments on one load of food and no Guthans.

Monkfish cost less, heal the same and can be bought in bulk. why would i waste time fishing monks when i can games necklace tele to the games room,run to the guild and buy what i need for the occasion and then do the boss konster/quest.it would be so frustrating for me to go to a busy city or go to piscatoris and just sit theyre bored out of my head when i can be having fun and kicking some boss mnsters...well you know what...legs :P You totally missed the point. Your idea involves paying 420k for 1000 pieces of food, which requires about 40 trips back and forth between the shop and bank. Or you can just buy 1000 monkfish for about 325k and get them all at once noted. Which makes more sense? It's not a tough call.

Been testing out the new monsters... none of them really worth fighting for drops so far.

While Jagex hasn't openly said this, they have clearly implied that part of what they were doing here was to remove items that undermined skilling. It never made sense that you could buy food as good as monkfish for 9 gp, or potions for 9 gp for example.

They never should have been so cheap to begin with.
