Tip.It Times Presents: RuneScape: A game for the young?
This is gibberish. The steps to combat scammers don't make the game any more "simple". They just put some of the griefers out of business, people who just make RS an unpleasant place to be. And what would be so wrong with messages encouraging people to be nicer players? In fact, I am writing up a lengthy set of pages for my site on that exact topic -- how to be a constructive player and how to deal with others who are not. It's a game -- it's supposed to be fun. Dealing with nastiness and scammers is not fun. One of the reasons I am here and no longer on the RS forums is that I got tired of dealing with nasty players, and that's the case for many other regulars as well. ~q

Who's To Blame?
Anyone with any sense of decency and fair play doesn't even have to ask these sorts of questions. It doesn't matter if the person who gets scammed "should have known better" -- the one scamming is still committing fraud and should be punished. It took us weeks to convince Jagex of this when they pulled that idiotic "luring is okay" nonsense earlier this year. ~q

The state of Runescape -- gold farming.
Excellent, well-referenced post. It's very simple and always has been -- follow the money. Don't look at what Jagex says, look at what they do. If they really cared about the autoing/bot problem or their pathetic customer service, they would hire people to fix these issues. The Gower brothers, though, just want to keep piling the millions in their bank accounts. ~q

Pixel-hogging - what exactly is it?
This is a nonsense position used only to justify greed. Even if there is risk, that doesn't preclude someone from doing something nice for another person. ~q

What would you do?
People who are guided by strong, well thought-out ethical principles generally don't get emotional about situations like this. They do what they feel is right, because it is right. Your interesting article notwithstanding, there are countless examples of poor people finding wallets with thousands of dollars in them and returning them to their rightful owners without hesitation. ~q

What would you do?
But that's precisely why it is important to think about it in advance. I would give him the potion without hesitation. Of course, if he died, I'd also grab his stuff and meet him to return it. Being a decent person is far more important than getting "phr33 st00f". ~q

Pixel-hogging - what exactly is it?
It's not about pixels. It's about time and effort. That said, usually the people who use stupid insults like "pixel hugger" are the ones who are most guilty of obsessing over RS items and money themselves. ~q

A few questions against barrows...
Brolly, if you haven't read a Barrows guide yet I suggest you do that before you start. Your prayer not only drains when used, it also drops 8 to 13 points every 10 seconds or so when in the crypts or tunnels. That's why you need to have high levels to kill them fast. ~q

A few questions against barrows...
Even if you make the p pots yourself, you are wasting the money you could be getting if you sold them. As was said.. you can do it, but it will be very difficult and expensive at your level. ~q̢̢̮ââ¬Å¾Ã¢Ãâæ

Tips To Make Hundreds OF K's!
Zammy wines are very much in demand in p2p because most herblorists don't have the patience to get them themselves. The price of them has actually been going up lately. ~q

Tips To Make Hundreds OF K's!
If he's really a friend, you'd give him a fair price for his goods. There are much better ways to make money than this anyway... like killing monsters for big bones, or getting zammy wines, etc. ~q

jagex staff email?`
They deliberately make it impossible to send them email directly. There's no way to do it -- if anyone knew of such a way, word of it would spread quickly and they'd be overwhelmed. ~q

The Unmapped
Thanks for the kind words. Nope, there is no way to zoom out. The map was made from 47 screenshots, blended by hand in Photoshop... and it's a real pain because every time you move, the angle of all the features changes. The full-sized map is much larger, about 1600x1400 pixels.. I scaled that one down. The one I made of the island north of Neitiznot for my ice trolls method was even harder.. though it's not really that interesting a map to anyone who isn't doing that. :) ~q

How do I make a tuna potato?
An even better way to get tuna (and other fish) cheap is to just world hop in Catherby. Buy them from the fishing store, cook them on the range and bank them... great way to get cheap food and cooking XP. ~q

skele wyvern setup?
Here's a drop log from before I gave up on wyverns. Oh, and that was when Veracs worked -- now it's even harder and you need food as well, so you can only kill a few at a time. --- Just got back from a skeletal wyvern run. The drops are indeed "better" but still COMPLETELY not worth the cost in time, potions and frustration to kill these very difficult monsters. 53 kills in about 1 hour 22 minutes: 4 laws 45 coins 303 coins 14 air runes herb - harralander herb - guam leaf 482 coins herb - guam leaf 30 water runes earth battlestaff --- 10 86 coins 6 soul runes herb - marrentill 13 runite bolts 455 coins herb - irit leaf snakeskin chaps 16 mithril bolts 17 runite bolts 93 coins --- 20 herb - guam leaf 70 coins 8 mithril bolts 24 coins 55 coins 439 coins 2 bone bolts 58 coins 5 soul runes 213 coins --- 30 10 souls 1 watermelon seed 99 coins 59 air runes 40 air runes 193 coins 60 pure essence earth battlestaff earth battlestaff (weird) 30 water runes --- 40 152 coins 27 bone bolts uncut ruby marrentill seed 338 coins 10 soul runes mithril sword 32 mithril bolts 85 coins 5 law runes --- 50 14 water runes 9 soul runes 6 blood runes ========= BTW that cost me: 700 cannonballs 3 4-dose super attacks 2 4-dose super strengths 3 4-dose super restores 4 4-dose prayer pots 3 4-dose sara brews

How do I make a tuna potato?
You need tuna, cooked sweetcorn, a bowl and a knife. With the knife in your inventory use the bowl on either the tuna or the sweetcorn. Then use that on the other ingredient. Then use the tuna/sweetcorn bowl on the potato. Jagex has now made these easier to make if you take out 9 bowls, 9 tuna and 9 sweetcorn at a time. ~q

skele wyvern setup?
As someone who has killed a lot of them, I strongly advise that you not bother. They are annoying and difficult to kill and have generally lousy drops. If you insist on doing it, I recommend taking with prayer gear, food, prayer pots and a cannon.. the cannon helps a great deal. ~q

Tip.It Times Presents: RuneScape: A game for the young?
Ignoring pertinent evidence proof that has already been supplied and just demanding more is intellectually dishonest. It does when that "1 piece of literature" is the official guide to the game, and is the only book Jagex has produced, and it is written for kids and marketed directly to them. And all the attempts to deny it won't change that -- attempts that never explain WHY Jagex did this if they are NOT targeting children. So why did they do it? ~q

Tip.It Times Presents: RuneScape: A game for the young?
Yes, such as the following, right in this post: I'm glad you find flaming me to be entertaining. The subject, however, is Jagex's emphasis on targeting its game to children despite its claims that it is not. ~q

Tip.It Times Presents: RuneScape: A game for the young?
Already explained numerous times. It is the only official RuneScape book that Jagex has published, and they chose to use a leading children's author and children's publisher to put it out. The entire book (I have a copy, do you?) is oriented to the pre-teen set. It is sold through school book clubs. It is very obvious from their refusal to look at the evidence rationally. As for the rest of your post, I'm not reading or responding to your juvenile insults. Please try to stay on topic. ~q

Fastest Fishing exp
Either Shilo or the new Barbarian training... which also gives agility, strength and cooking XP (though not much). If you don't want to save the caviar from the new method you can literally stay there all day. Just keep cutting the fish and dropping the fish offcuts... no need to bank at all. If you do save the caviar it is useful for the new potions. ~q
