- Learning spanish?
Well I don't particularly want to learn spanish, I just want to learn another common language. Preferably not too difficult of a language. Is there one that fits that description better than spanish? I'll try and chase down some ebooks/newspapers quote name='Lenticular_J' date='15 June 2010 - 10:55 PM' timestamp='1276606546' post='4338887'] Rosetta Stone. It's true. I heard it's much better marketing than product but I might give it a closer look- The other ones
What about if marriage was between '2 consenting adults,' problem solved. Either that or fix the issues that are caused by homosexuals not being allowed to marry. The option for people to nominate a couple of non family members to be able to visit them in hospital for example, or just have an exception for homosexual couples. zoophilia: not a person, can't give consent pedophilia: the child is not old enough to marry anyway because they can't give consent objectum sexuality: not a person, can't give consent- Is it unhealthy
ily too, call me :) It's how I'd prefer it to be explained to me, feeling sorry for someone gives them a chance for self pity. This guy needs to take action.- Today...

You can't have been in very many relationships. Sometimes you need to go through a lot of people before you can find one you can stand. Girls do like nice guys, they just don't like the male interpretation of 'nice guy.' They don't want you to put them on a pedestal, buy them things, suck up to them, eliminate conflict and just generally be a [kitty]. They already have one of those. I've been there, I'm sure most guys have been there. You can change the way you present yourself, and 'be your best self' instead of just 'being yourself' Imagine yourself in this scenario. You're a hot girl. You can't go anywhere without dorky guys drooling over you and hitting on you. It's flattering in a way, but it's also [bleep]ing annoying. You don't have time to date them all, you need a way of checking their suitability in stages. You knock back 90% in the first 10 seconds, then slowly disqualify them as time goes on. Unfair? Sure, but what else is she supposed to do? You have to wade through the crap for a while before you can find someone you can be with. It's like applying for a job. Send in a bad looking resume, it gets thrown out before they even read it. The same thing happens if you approach her wearing the same thing every other dorky guy wears, have nervous body language and then ask her to buy her a drink. (ps, buying a girl a drink is code for "I'm not worth your time, so I'm trying to buy a couple minutes with you via $5) That's what the [bleep] shield, and lots of other stuff like that is for. You don't have to like it, but use it as an excuse to avoid them and your genes get unsympathetically removed from existence. It's nobodies problem but your own, and only you can do something about it. Evolution is about survival of the fittest, not survival of the guy-who-won't-be-a-man. Keep using your excuses if you must, but I guarantee you that you're wrong. There are plenty of girls you would be perfect with, you just have to find them.- You're a troublemaker
I ran from a cop after jaywalking in grade 8, couple fights at school, smoking in grade 4... Nothing else I can think of. I got really good at not being caught.- "I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Tell her the truth: Long distance relationships suck. It's not a relationship, it's a pen pal [bleep] buddy.- I flushed my report cards down the toilet...?
And you have my bow. And MY AXE. AND MY LIGHTSABER AND MY EARS Red leader standing by. [hide]Red October standing by. [/hide] Carlos Spicy Wiener Here AND MY RUBBER-CHICKEN-WITH-A-PULLEY-IN-THE-MIDDLE- "I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
If you don't know how to break it off now, it's only going to be harder later on. I mean sure she might agree to a summer thing now, but you can bet your ass she will keep calling you after it ends pushing for meet ups. Flings just don't work when one of you is that attached, it will just end messy. I'd probably do it, but then again I'm a [bleep].- "I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
This sounds like a seinfeld episode. To put it bluntly, you don't like her but she likes you and she's hot. Your brain is telling you no, but your penis is telling you oh god yes. If you don't want to hurt her, stop seeing her. If you don't care and just want action, continue what you're doing.- "I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Nah they can't. The hymen can be torn in lots of ways, from masturbating to horse riding. A friend of a friend tore hers when she crashed on roller blades. They also aren't allowed to tell her parents anyway due to the confidentiality thing.- Today...

I don't see how 'reminding her' is a good way to go. When you talk [cabbage] about somebody she is seeing, you push her closer to him and look like an [wagon]. When you rub it in after they break up, you alienate her and look like an [wagon] again.- "I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
A 'close friend' went behind your back and got your girlfriend? That's pretty [bleep]ing dog, I concur: kick his ass. I can see how she hurt you, but I can understand it from her point of view. She really didn't do anything wrong apart from the fact that he's your friend, which you don't seem to be bothered by. She's right when she says she can't control who she feels attraction for - and if that attraction is strong enough to make her get with him straight away and have sex, then so be it. The guy was no more manipulative than anybody else who is attracted to another person - if you're attracted, you want them to be attracted to you too. You obviously start doing things to try and achieve that. When you said all those things to her, it was much more likely that you just drew her closer to him than that you made her feel bad or worried her that you have dirt on her. I know justifying it doesn't change anything, but you were talking about empathy so it might help you let go faster if you see where she was coming from. wut- Today...
- Learning spanish?
I want to learn how to speak spanish, and need some resources. I tried a program called tell me more but it's not so good. Can anyone suggest a good program (that they've had firsthand experience with) or a good free series of online lessons?- "I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Yeah I'd have to agree with tripsis. I know jumping into the middle of things is a bad idea, and I hate doing it. It's just frustrating to watch it happen. I'll tell her again to say something, and that it's just as much her fault as it is his until she tells him. The alpha male doesn't go out of his way to complement people, if something stands out to you then that's fine. Without experience it's not so obvious, all this time it's felt really good but she hasn't gotten all the way with him. Only by herself. I've heard those 2 heaps of times, and you wouldn't think so. I'm also proud to say I have a perfect track record ;-) Something you kinda need for [bleep] buddies because they wouldn't stick around otherwise. Ask for feedback. I don't think anybody here has recommended using a 'pick up line,' they're all just conversation starters. Also, most girls immediately draw their conclusions as soon as you open your mouth no matter what you say, which is where using a disqualifier comes in. - Learning spanish?
