  1. I was talking to a gay friend the other day about this. (I didn't say I was concerned about it, he brought it up) He basically said something along the lines of: "Any straight guy worried about attracting a gay guy needs to remove his head from his [wagon]. Straight guys can't dress for [cabbage] and they can barely take care of themselves let alone another guy." Except it was more of a 5 minute rant, cut up with nice little condescending encouragements like "no offense, I like the way you dress" <_<
  2. Kindly stop pretending that you hold human life in such high esteem. Or at least answer my post about consumer culture killing people. I'm assuming you believe 1 because of 2. So they are essentially the same. 1/2, you have ignored every argument I've made against it. 3, why should it matter what their reasoning is? Whether they are informed or not is the fault of the doctor.
  3. why is that a good thing though, if she doesn't want to?
  4. Have you personally had an abortion? I know several women who have had abortions, and let me tell you, all of them now regret it. Abortions can cause a good deal of emotional distress. There is even a study going on, stating that women that had abortions may subconsciously try having another child, to make up for the dead fetus (if I find the article I'll post it later). So killing animals (in most cases besides hunting, which requires a license) is a wrong thing to do, but then killing a fetus is fine? Even if they aren't a "human being" as some claim, they are still at least a creature, capable of movement & etc. By the way, an article for everyone: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/MindMoodNews/planned-parenthood-clinic-director-joins-anti-abortion-group/story?id=8999720 Which is why nobody is claiming it is a 'quick fix,' yet 'pro lifers' always seem to assume that's what we think. When did I say killing animals was wrong? So what? I know a couple women who have had abortions who are glad they did. "I know x who believes y" has no place in a (hopefully) rational debate.
  5. Why is it so wrong? You're kidding. Have you even seen a child in real life?
  6. Ok. Lets say that abortion is killing. I'm sure we can agree on that. Murder is a legal term. Now what?
  7. If she's already being that obvious about it, playing hard to get will only hurt his chances. You should have done it, but it should be easy to salvage. Meeting, Disqualification, Attraction, Qualification, Comfort, Sex Don't move backwards. If she wants to kiss you, not much point in trying to attract her.
  8. In an overpopulated world, for a teenager without the financial means or maturity for a baby who just wants to have fun and enjoy being young. Yes it's a problem. When working on checkouts, I get told MINIMUM 5 times a day: Don't have kids. Not by just teenage parents either. Murder and suffering isn't black and white 'wrong,' it's necessary, and no morals are universal anyway. You can't override our instinct to mount each other, no matter how hard you try. It's not society's fault. With our culture changing waaaay faster than evolution, and with the church and the merchants running the show, we're all [bleep]ed anyway. Why not have some sex?
  9. I would gold plate everything in my house, and then flip a coin for the rest of the budget. Like a true australian politician.
  10. I think life begins at conception, but they aren't human until they can survive outside the womb. They are a fetus until then, which isn't human imo. (I don't wish to argue this point, as it will go nowhere) If you'll read my other posts then you'll know you can't play the murder card against me anyway. I don't think people ever see abortion as the only option, it's not exactly a stroll in the park for the women having it. Also the issue with planned parenthood or whoever else isn't their fault. The main failure with condoms is incorrect use. Don't keep them in your wallet, put them on properly etc. Teenagers are going to have sex anyway, educating them on safe sex is better than letting them do whatever they want.

You're over 18 though aren't you? Tell them that their job is done and you can make your own choices.
  12. I'm just against religion really, I think it hinders us. People who contribute to it's existence irk me. Shallow yes, but lots of people have things like that. On a positive note, I think I may have found someone who I would actually consider for a relationship. Plus it's harder to emotionally detach myself like I usually do, making escalating with a thought out game plan harder, making it more of a challenge, and making me more into her. I'm getting the all too familiar "omgtellherhowyoufeelandinviteheroverandthrowheronthebed" feelings from years ago. Kinda makes it more fun actually.
  13. I automatically lose respect for anyone when I find out they worship a god. But that's just me. Here's a random tip: I didn't come up with this, but in the middle of telling a story, add a random fact. "... and then the guy falls of the fence and dislocates his shoulder. Hey did you know that a kangaroo can jump 10m? Crazy huh. Anyway, then..." I use it to tell whether people are following the story or not. If nobody says 'wait.. what?' then abort asap.
  14. If you were going backwards in time, you would be timeless. Then you just have speed = distance/0 (inb4 divide by 0 universe exploding picture) Even if we had a source of infinite power it's impossible.
  15. The only way I've found to get out of friend zone would be to just not talk to her for ages, (at least 6 months) come back and start over. When you do, don't make the mistakes again like building too much comfort and no attraction by 'being the friend.' Hey brat, I bet my weekend can beat up your weekend :) Try to use callback though. Bring up a joke from when you were talking in person if you can.
  16. Because it's so difficult to skimp out on luxuries? There's plenty of reason to do good if you want. I never said to not make an effort for something you believe, my point was it's not black and white, and actions do more than words. People seem to love jumping on the pro life bandwagon because it's easy. It's easy to feel all morally superior because they are 'against murder.' Being pro life does not lessen any suffering. Even if abortion was illegal it would only cause more problems, and cause more suffering for those already in foster care. It's something different to actually do something about these beliefs. It's not so convenient to go out of your way to buy clothing not made in sweatshops. It's a pain to save some lives by donating the money you want to spend at the movies. Supporting people cramming more children into foster care doesn't work if you won't adopt one. This 'let someone else handle it' idea can't sustain itself.
  17. Orphanages and foster homes are overcrowded as it is. Rather than putting more kids in them, we need more pro lifers to adopt instead of conceiving their own child. I would rather live in an overcrowded foster home than never live. How could you rather anything as an aborted fetus? Of course now you'd rather live than die, because you have emotional investment in life and an instinct to live. A fetus does not. If life is so sacred, why do you own a computer? Why not donate all that money you spent and save lives in 3rd world companies? I'm sure you buy stuff you don't need all the time. Life is sacred all right, just not as sacred as your crappuchino and muffin. Pro lifers say abortion is murder is always bad and abortion is murder. A nice blanket statement for people who prefer to think more simply. Consumer culture is murder. From the child laborers in sweatshops stocking shops, to drug lords processing the cocaine for the politicians put there by corporations who make money off the people, suffering and murder is unavoidable. Everyone is involved, whether they try to convince themselves they aren't or not. You can't divide good and bad as black and white universal truths. It's not that simple.

  19. I live roughly between brisbane and the gold coast, in a medium size suburb. Short drive to the city, coast, rural area and the mountain + rain forest. Right in the middle of everything. Happy where I am
  20. ^^ With that kind of thing you should just be as confident and sexually aggressive as possible. You can't win if you don't roll the dice.
  21. I'm assuming you aren't in a relationship? To me it sounds like she likes you but thinks she's in love with you. She's also shy. Maybe text her something like 'we better meet up by x day or I want a divorce. I'll change my facebook relationship status and everything'

In australia kids can smoke cigarettes. They just can't buy them. It's illegal to own a bullet proof vest without permission from authority Even if you don't vote, you legally have to turn up and put the piece of paper in the voting box. It's illegal to not euthanize an animal in pain, but it's illegal to do so to people. It's illegal to make terrorist jokes in airports Oh god you still do that?
