  1. I coulda sworn you needed 65 fishing to actually catch the Karambwan, unless that's only during the quest? I know the Karambwanji take 5. Nice guide, It's very unique, so extra kudos to you! Do people actually buy the Karambwan?
  2. Well, as I was deciding, the price of a set started to rise again, so I made a snap decision and bought. got it for 4.75m, and from the looks of it, that value is gonna go up. thank you to everyone who answered.
  3. So, I have about 6.5 mil from sleling random junk in my bank (yay! \) and I wanted to buy a full set of Guthans to help with my Slayer, and other things. I know the price is currently dropping like a rock, so I was wondering wheather or not to buy it now, or wait. There are pros and cons to both of em. If I wait, the price of the set would be lower, but there would most likely be less people selling the set, in hopes that the price will rise again. So what should I do?
  4. If you enjoy Slayer, get full Guthans. Then get 70 Prayer. Then spend it on some seeds (Snapdragon or Toadflax) to invest.
  5. How many have you killed? It does usually take a little while to get the bones, but if you've killed 100+ you should definitely have it by now...
  6. I spent some points buying a Slayer Ring solely for that purpose ;) Here's the order I'm gonna go in (while blocking tasks I hate along the way) -Slayer Helm. -Bolt-making ability (for future use). -Ring-making ability (can you actually use req assistance on this? If not, forget this one). -Runes for cash.
  7. Penguin: A species of evil swimming bird. The penguins have established a 'home base', if you will, on an iceburg in the middle of the North Runescapian sea. They are said to be plotting to take over the world. This has been considered as a small problem by many of the Runescapians across the map. It is also made hard by the penguins' small stature and inability to effectively communicate with anyone, save for odd gestures and movements. The penguins have many operatives across the globe, including two stationed in Lumbridge, a few in Ardougne, and many more which travel with unsuspecting adventurers. Very nice, lol.
  8. Too risky. You raise the price of the item, and your left with 250k balls of wool, no money, and nobody that wants to buy em.
  9. recipe for disaster. He's asking where the basement is. There's a trapdoor near the chef in the Lumbridge Castle kitchen, go down there for the basement.
  10. People have Bone to peach, Titans, Unicorn+Bunyip... I don't see how Guthan will go up I agree. With the release of Summoning, we've gotten quite a few healing familiars, so the Guthans ability is no longer as rare as it once was. I have no idea why SS is dropping though, seeing as Jagex is continuously attempting to make Zilyana harder.
  11. If it's a monster I really enjoy killing and I have enough supplies, yeah, I'll keep killing until I run out. Normally, though, I'll tele right after I finish my task. I know somebody mentioned that they continuously think 'just one more', and (if they had enough food) would stay there infinitely. That's how my mind works too, so I counter it by leaving right away.
  12. So, whenever I get to Barrows after walking through the Mort Myre swamp shortcut, and dig into my first mound, I always get the "The swamp decay effect is now over" message. But what has been puzzling me is: what does the swamp decay effect actually DO? Maybe I missed some dialogue in Nature Spirit, but I never figured this part out.
  13. That'd just be pure Chaotic Evil on Jagex's part. But yeah, you can get rid of it.
  14. As do I, I remember that I made one for the sole purpose of being on Tutorial Island forever. Never thought it'd be this handy \. I really don't like the new tutorial, it takes three times as long to complete -.-. And what happened to the mining/smithing bit? All you get is a random cutscene of some mine caving in. All the noobies are gonna be like "WTF is an iron ore!?!?!?!" Yeah, that's the heaviest loss for me.
  15. Lol, all he did was say the exact same thing i said. He generalized. I'm not a frickin dictionary, go look it up yourself you lazy bum. Don't flame the person who actually took the time to answer your stupid question. You could have answered his question in a less sarcastic manner, and I wouldn't talk about him flaming YOU if you're doing the same thing. OT: You can only poison dagger, spears, hastae, darts, and arrows. Nothing else (although I've never tried it on somebody's drink ;)) [/hide] Only time i answered him in a "sarcastic manner" was when he asked me to list all poison-able weapons.. Does that not deserve a sarcastic answer? All i put was this -> I think i was quite justified to flame him when he didn't "appreciate" my answers and instead, flamed me. After someone comes and repeat what you just said. *cough* You as well *cough* Does your answer deserve a flame? its almost exactly like what i said. I quote the Joker: "Why so seriousss" Saying someone was more helpful than you is hardly flaming. No, I don't think that asking for a list of poisonable weapons deserves a sarcastic response. Possibly, he didn't know what weapons were poisonable, which MIGHT be the reason for this thread in the first place. And in some cases, serious > sarcasm.
  16. Never try to feed a dragon with full rune on :wall:. Seriously though, stick to your goals, don't die, and have fun.

  18. Aaaaah, I forgot the ever-important style-based factor. Oops on my part. Thanks anyways, everyone.
  19. Hey. It's been a loooooong time since I've done the Dragon Slayer quest, so I can't remember if the Strength xp at the end is optional or not. I wanted to do it on my pure for the Green D'hide, but if I'm gonna get Strength xp...
  20. I did it at your level Agility, and I failed quite a bit. It really doesn't make that much of a difference what your level is, so if you don't mind making a lot of bank trips, just do it now.
  21. I agree that Gravestones ruined the danger level. That's not to say you SHOULDN'T bless a gravestone if you happen to see one. They're implemented in the game, nothing we can do about that, so we might as well take advantage of it.
  22. I went in with whip, monks, super set and defeated it fine. It just take a while, the scarab has a really high defense. Just keep attacking, you'll down it eventually.
  23. I agree with your first and second points, I strongly disagree with the final. Yaks are better that ogres (although I trained at the latter for seed drops  ), but it's near impossible to find an empty world. The minimum you'll find is probably 2-3 people. However, it's still good. Just make sure you get two or three spawns and you'll be able to train great.
  24. I hope they actually make NEW pvp servers, instead of turning existing worlds to pvp. If they did the latter, people would be scared of getting player-owned, the non-pvp worlds woul;d be over-populated, and it'd be even HARDER to find an empty kbd world.
