  1. Really nice guide, double thumbs-up. I've been thinking about going to DK's for a while now, and I've been searching for a good guide. I'll try this out once I raise my skills a little bit. I do have a question: Approx. how many runes do you use per trip with the Slayer Dart method? I'll probably use more, being at a lower Magic level, but I wouldn't mind an estimate.
  2. When I saw those words on the post I almost jumped up and screamed, half out of joy and half out of fury. I love quests, but Mourning's End Part 2 was bad enough. But the thought of a new, most challenging quest... woo! My friend was speculating that the stone comment might refer to the Stone of Jas, but I doubt it...
  3. In my household, only my brother plays, and that's fairly rare. Not sure if any of my cousins play. Wanna try to get some other people hooked but they're fairly reluctant. All my cousins are wither way older or way younger than me.
  4. Since when is Jagex anti-clan? We have Clan Wars, right? Be happy we have what we have. It's Jagex's game, they can do as they please with it.
  5. How to type much much faster than I used to be able to. Multiple math skills. How to plan and achieve a goal (very useful :). What a scimitar is.
  6. There'll probably be the new minigame and an essence mine. One or two rune shops. Prices won't really change that much imo, unless what some other people said comes true: the new minigame is more effective than actual RC'ing, people stop making runes and start using the minigame. Then we have faaaaaar less runes coming into the economy, the prices skyrocket because of the low supply and high demand, Magic collapses, the world tumbles into turmoil, etc. etc. etc. There's not gonna be a Soul altar, I can almost guarantee that. I believe some of the speculation, that the Soul altar is tied into the Elven storyline.
  7. Darklight can hit higher against Kril, lower his stats, and only costs 2k, so it's hardly even a loss if you die. Dragon hally hits twice. Sure it has one more spec that Darklight, but it also costs about 125* Darklight. Plus, I'll take lower stats over double hits. Conclusion: Darklight wins! \
  8. I think it looks like a fair idea. Might be little bit overpowered, with gaining charms made too easy, but it looks promising.
  9. I really doubt that Guthix would scream that much. Swap him with Zamorak, he's more likely to attack someone. Rewards are way overpowered. maybe 20k Magic xp, 5k Runescrafting, and 10k in four skills. And why so much meat?
  10. Lol, the fact that you can just 'hide' a teleport in a bush sounds funny :P Bush teleport... :-k Seriously though, I like the idea. Only problem I see has been mentioned, what if you forget the bush? I like, um, that one guy's idea where you can remember where you hid something. Perhaps you could have some list which automatically records where something is hidden?
  11. I like it. However, I do have a few suggestions: - There should be guards patrolling the mansion, adding a "Sorceress' Garden"-esque feel. If they see you, you will be tossed out of the mansion and lose some of the items you've stolen, along with the items you used to get into the house. There could also possibly be traps set throughout the mansion which you would need to disarm. - I think the time limit should be lowered to maybe seven-ten minutes. Seems like you would be able to grab too large of an amount of loot in fifteen minutes, ergo making the minigame too easy/profitable. - The higher-level items MUST be hardish to get. Possibly one good item every five-seven inventories? It'd still be a good way to make money and train Thieving. EDIT: Sorry, must have missed that part of your post. With those additions, I support. And nice thought and work =D>.
  12. Some skillcapes are less impressive than others. Fletching, Cooking, and Firemaking, for example, anybody can get if they have enough money. All skillcapes are achievements, but the sight of one may be worth more than another. There are definitely some more respected ones, like Prayer, Construction, Slayer. They take more time to get, because you actually have to focus. Others are just mindless clicking. I believe the Quest Cape is more in the middle. It's really not that easy to get (trust me, I'm trying ;)), or to keep, since you have to do every new quest that comes out. It's one of the ones that I respect more, anyways.
  13. 150th quest plawks?!? My friend told me about that so I went to watch. It's interesting. I'm sure Haluned is somehow related to Eluned (or IS Eluned). Like I said, next elf quest as 150th?
  14. Heh, I've been playing for three years come the 24th and my only major accomplishment is ALMOST getting a quest cape. The most money I've had in one spot was 6.3mil, and that was just cause I got lucky with a clue scroll. You're really not doing that bad. If you wanna make money, just do something you enjoy and eventually you'll get a profit off it.
  15. Eh? Can you explain how that works please? I Can't see how it does... More money = more essence = more rc'ing + abyss = more money = more essence... [/hide] Thanks for your help and all but that doesn't really answer what I was asking, I already knew that if I had more money I can buy more essence... The fact still remains that I have to rc 417 more times to the fire alter If I want 60 runecrafting, unless there is a faster way... Does anyone know how long the average trip takes from bank to abyss back to the bank, that would be pretty helpfull... I haven't calculated the exact time myself, but I've heard it to be around 30-35 seconds per trip. Start at edge, run to abyss, get to nat/law rift, craft your runes, glory tele back to edge, repeat.
  16. Eh? Can you explain how that works please? I Can't see how it does... More money = more essence = more rc'ing + abyss = more money = more essence...
  17. You're not using the abyss? If you have the earth rc'ing gloves from FoG, that might be the fastest way to go. Otherwise, abyss nat/law crafting. Whichever you can do.
  18. Sell it, then go get another for a dfs  Seriously though, I'd reccomend keeping it. Awesome defense bonus makes up for lesser attack bonus. Plus you'll probably be Slaying some dragons, correct?
  19. If Jagex takes any one of those courses of action, I guarantee they'll lose a LOT of memberships, and people will still pay to have no-lifers train their skills for as long as they can per day. There is essentially no way to completely wipe out RWTers. I think we should be satisfied with the fact that Jagex has eliminated about as many as they can without taking measures to the extreme, and move on.
  20. But what if I had a bug that will give me unlimited familiar time? (yes unlimited void spinner/bunyip). I think I might stay at moss giants, ranarr seeds, snapdragon seeds and the rune/charm drops pwn. Anyone has any better ideas? (anything that drops ranarr seeds more often than moss giants would pwn) Have you done Spirit of Summer? The Ghostly Warriors located in the spirit Axe Hut drop a ton of runes and steel armor. You could keep the runes and high alch the armor. Also, the level 79 ghosts you can spawn have fairly decent drops along with rannar seeds (might just be lucky, but I got 2 seeds from 9 kills.) These are more dangerous, however, as you have to spend more time in the real wilderness.
  21. Search the shelves in the south end of the house for Charcoal and Papyrus, then use them together.
  22. FAR better to train on monsters. The max hp someone you are duelling could have is 99. Thats less that 400 xp per kill, and you have the breaks in-beetween duels. With monsters you can get more xp per kill, plus the possible drops.
  23. Definitely reccomend doing Monkey Madness for Dragon Scimitar, preffered strength wep of many. Save for a whip once you have a d scimmy. Very nice wep. Go do Mournings End Pt. 2 for bragging rights \.
  24. whenever me and my friends are joking around and we say it, we pronounce it 'pownd'. However, when I say it in my head, I think of it as 'pooned'. Dunno. Nobody says it in intelligent irl conversations though :.
  25. Only solution. However, if it's a low-priced item you could sell it to him and subtract your trade limit.
