What has Runescape taught you? Rs has taught me:

 

How to type alot faster than I did before. | Goal setting. (getting certain levels.) | Math [a little bit]. (Calculating how much money you have total/how much you'll have left over after you do something.)

Well we had a test in science and there was an extra credit part that he didin't teach and the question was what two ore make bronze?

 

I was like adur tin and copper

 

And i was the only one who got a 105% on the test :

Trust noone, how to type very fast, that wasting my life in front of a screen is no different than wasting it in front of a Taco Bell... I can go on.

I don't know if it has taught me anything, but I think it does allow some people to see how some of the stuff you are taught in school is applied in a real-life type setting. For example economics.

i personaly have learned alot of just little things. like a stove is also called a range. tin+coppen=bronze. that steel is just more refined iron. some math and definatly economics

It's definitely taught me to type fast lol, and back in "the good old days" where scamming was possible, I was taught that if something seems to be too good to be true then it most likely is, and should be scrupulously checked or ignored. (Talking about scams here, not drops lol, if you get a visage pick it up and run for the hills :P )

How to plan things well really, eg. how much of different thing I need to buy for a certain level and how much money I will need, what things I might need to look out for etc. etc.

 

 

 

It can all be applied to many real world situations where I need to think ahead...

Runescape has also taught me: friends and social life first, videogames on second. Spent way to much time on runescape in the first years, but now I'm not addicted anymore and I've got a nice girlfriend :

I'd learn just the opposite. I think I'll go stealing jewelry. What's the worst I can get? A blow to the head? A police officer who appears out of nowhere but lets me go after I run twenty meters?

It's taught me (the hard way) that addiction is fairly easy to fall into and very hard to get out of.

 

 

 

It took jagex wrecking the game (in my opinion) before I could quit, and I'm still logging in every day out of habit.

Rs has taught me much better english and also a lot of how you make things, like flour and metal bars in real life.

...That I can't no matter how hard I try, It's Impossible to Alch stuff by simply claping my hands.. :cry:
