After exploring the realms of the past, I noticed the strange sound and saw a teleport outside of the Impassible Barrier. I investigated a little further. I waited for a bit and got this :

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unfortunately, by the time I had clicked she teleported again.

 

 

 

I waited even longer and got this :

 

 

 

 

 

 

The closest I could get to her, with her examine text. Thing is, it is the same examine text as Eluned the Elf. She also bears a striking resemblance to Eluned, with the only difference being Eluned wears a Boob Tube and Circlet, while Haluned wears a full dress and headband... So is there a relation between the Past and Present Elf? But the thing that got me was, who is she going to report to? Although, I did know from the quest that there was the "Elder Gods," so possibly one of these "Elder Gods," was Seren, Goddess of the Elves? And did these "Elder Gods," create Guthix and Gielnor? Or did Guthix create Gielnor?

Well, aren't elves immortal, or at least extremely long-lived? It could be possible that she, like Nibbler, did not travel in time but simply existed back then as well. Or maybe Eluned is Haluned's daughter. Oh, and the quest tells us that Guthix did not create Runescape. Sarah tells you this after you find her brooch.

Oh >_< I guess thats what I get for skipping through the conversations....

Has any one talked to one of the elves to see if there is another new mini quest? or some more infomations

I have'nt done that yet - I'll go speak to Eluned, Ilswynn and Ilfeen now.

I wouldn't know exactly as I've never been a member, but Haluned sounds sort of like Haunted Eluned... Just speculating.

I think its just a name.

I didn't do the quest, but I watched my brother do parts of this, and I can only guess:

 

 

 

When they explain that humans came from another plane, and through that portal, and they were the first family to start inhabittin runescape, I think thats only what they *Thought* The elf is probably a scout of the land, and the phrase "We are not alone in these lands, I must report!", probably means that the scout has found the family, and is reporting to a leader of what she has found.

 

 

 

Hell thats a big guess but it makes perfect sense to me.

The family say in the quest that they were practically the only family to settle in the west (Kandarin), and since the Elves come from just west of Kandarin, the family would've been the first humans the elves would see. We can probably date this is someone can be bothered to go through all the Elven text in Lletya.

By the way, judging from what Haluned says, 'We are not alone in this world', makes me think that they haven't even discovered Gnomes, Goblins, Dwarves, Ogres etc., and that we are the first sentient beings they found apart from themselves.

dont forget that this is probably the first age (when elves came)

So what I've gotten from all of this is that this occured during the First Age, and that the Elf was a scout for the group of elves that had recently set up shop in Runescape. The elves had not previously encountered any other intelligent life. (Which doesn't rule out the possibilty that they had met ogres...), and at this point, the only races that can be confirmed as inhabitants of this realm are: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Gnomes.

 

 

 

 

 

Also, when the cutscene of Guthix and the flying runestones is playing, did anyone else notice the smaller runestone that flew toward the upper left corner of the screen? It appeared to have the teardrop shape of the images on blood and water runes, but it was a hollow outline, in a darker blue than the water rune.. Does anyone care to speculate about the possible meaning of this runestone? Or am I just drawing too much from nothing?

Wow, great find! Maybe there's some link between that world Prfrindas (<-- or whatever the name of the crystal gated elf city is.) Of all the things in Runescape to travel in time, I would expect either mages or elves, maybe the reason the city is deserted is something to do with them going back in time via crystals lol, or maybe I'm just going to in depth. But that's a great find, and definitely some sort of deliberate teaser for some future update by Jagex.

That elf hasn't travelled back in time. The elves came from a world unknown, guided by Seren through their own 'World Gate'/Portal in the first age. They stayed in Tirannwin for a while and then ventured east over the mountains, the elf you see is one from the first age who has just discovered humankind for the first time.

 

 

 

The city isn't deserted.. It's just that Jagex haven't put any graphics into Priffdinnas yet.

Hope this is a build up to the possible MEPIII/3!

 

 

 

- First we find the vamprye (I forgot the name of it.) ore in the mine carts down in the temple of light entrance. (Which is now removed?)

 

- Now a slight info that elves were the first race in Runescape.

I saw something teleport out of the corner of my eye/screen when I was doing the quest. I assumed it was a glitch and it was a player teleporting that had leaked through.

If you mean by "mother of the other elf" and are referring to Eluned, (if memory serves well) don't forget that "Glarial" was her mother, or Haluned was Glarial's real name..... Just guessing now...

Why I was doing the quest I saw something strange just as I was rubbing part B of the key. There was a figure outside the barrier but the thing is this one didn't teleport and the skin of the figure was white, though when I was getting a look at it my key teleported me. It sort of looked like hazeel, which would make sense because it is near ardounge, well near the land where ardounge is. I tried to look after the quest but I didnt find him/her again. It's a noticable difernce between the guy I saw the first time, and Haluned (who I saw when I went back).

Hazeel was a Mahajarrat right? I think they were way after the first humans. Guthix was the only god at the time. Settlements in the desert hadn't begun, and it was.. Erm the god who begins with a T who brought the Mahajarrat into Runescape right? Or one of the desert gods before they deserted and went to Zaros.

Guthix wasnt the only god, just saradomin and zamorak (who wasnt a god yet) were not known of. I'm just speculating, all i'm saying is that, that is what I saw. I dont know what/who it was, but I saw it.

Could Guthix's way of keeping balance be introducing first the gnomes and dwarves, and then humans and elves?

 

 

 

I know a previous poster mentioned that a different god brought the elves to Gielnor, but just makes me wonder if he didn't have a hand in it or something. .-.
