Haluned. Elf of the ~Past~

Featured Replies

Might explain the reasons behind why the mourners are there, well i know theres already a reason for that, the carts people speculated about the vampire quests with elves, so maybe this is explaining how humans first met the elves, and is the step to the elf quest.

I think the new quests are getting very interesting alot more interesting and cant wait for the next one

Maybe new altar?

Wongton is better than me in anyway~~

I remember reading on RuneWiki that elves once lived in mainland Runescape, so it could interlink the New World with the Elven lands in a quest (presumably MEP3, but I'd bet its something else)

I havn't done quest so I'll stop speculating :P

Doomy edit: I like sheep

its most likely going to be for part 3 of the history quests, you have to help introduce the elves and the humans or something :P

This was an intriguing quest!

It seems that what we have learned all this time may not be all true.

Perhaps this is Jagex's way of bypassing the Guthixian edicts.

Also, when the cutscene of Guthix and the flying runestones is playing, did anyone else notice the smaller runestone that flew toward the upper left corner of the screen? It appeared to have the teardrop shape of the images on blood and water runes, but it was a hollow outline, in a darker blue than the water rune.. Does anyone care to speculate about the possible meaning of this runestone? Or am I just drawing too much from nothing?

like the one above guthix's head?

At least this quest had some background and created some speculations, not like sheep shearer

How many quests are there right now?

Yep, what we see here is the first 'meet' between Elves and Humans. As said before, this family belongs to the first generation of humans, so the elves don't even know 'em. By the way, judging from what Haluned says, 'We are not alone in this world', makes me think that they haven't even discovered Gnomes, Goblins, Dwarves, Ogres etc., and that we are the first sentient beings they found apart from themselves.

It is kind of weird, in the present goblins and gnomes are pretty close to the place that occurs in the past.

True true, but anyone that has done the Path of Glouphrie quest (maybe) remembers that Goblins and Gnomes had many battles over the country around current Tree Gnome Village, the lands they were both trying to inhabit. It is said they migrated/traveled from different lands, so further away from the Arandar mountains.

P.S. Goblins were taken to Runescape by Bandos, somewhere close to the Third Age/Godwars (AKA long after this quest).

Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).

I got this message from here:

"these must be the people guthix spoke of" when I saw her!

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Most importantly, is she teleporting back to Priffdinnas? Please igve us that tele Jagex! And open the fricking city as well...

150th quest plawks?!?

My friend told me about that so I went to watch. It's interesting. I'm sure Haluned is somehow related to Eluned (or IS Eluned). Like I said, next elf quest as 150th?

Although it's nice to see more stuff related to the Elves, I just wonder if these odd little bits are purely just to stop everyone going on about Prifddinas. I mean, basically it's been 2 years now since the last main Elf quest (i.e not a sidequest like Roving Elves) as MEP2 was released on 17th October 2005, yet MEP1 was released on 19th July 2005.

It's not crazy to think that Jagex may just have given up on Prifddinas, with Crystal equipment being totally outclassed and the vast majority of players unable to attempt (let alone finish) MEP2 they may just have decided that it's not worthwhile creating a huge city with massive crystal spires and a whole range of Crystal armour for the few people that would actually gain access to it.

What about meiyerditch (sp) i bet not a huge number of people have completed that but not only has jagex expanded that quest chain they built the very detailed and complicated slums, so why not build prifddinas? Even if not everyone can use it, alot of people still would. It would also be good motivation for more people to complete MEP2

Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,

I like to think I walk this line every day.

Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man.

You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.

Thats true. I am not going to attempt MEP2, however if the next M.E was to open Prifddinas I would attempt it, and would'nt stop either as there are many mysteries in the Elven Lands I'd like to know...

It was because the mod/jagex staff who was responsible for MEPs quited..

But fear not, i think now jagex has assigned a new guy for the job, as we got catapult construction in Feburary this year.

Anyway, i dont think there has anything to do with the elves now, as the betrayal at Prifddinas happens at 1930 (now = 20XX?)

Thats around the end of the third age, after god wars and all those stuff have ended...

That part of elven history can be find at in a book at your house after MEP1, i think.

Catapult construction is a whole different kind of quests. The plague city/mep storyline is really a quest line, revealing plots, and a bit of the history of runescape. Catapult construction is just a 'bring this and this and fix that to get a reward' quest

Just a note, Islwynn was related to Glarial (I think thats his name, the guy who makes the bows) And eluned was not related to Glarial? I think

Jake5002.png

yswan say something along the lines of "now both me and my grandmother can rest in peace" during the Roving elves quest ;)

I didn't read anything after the first page - but my guess it's just one of those teasers for an upcoming quest.

And I think that quest is mep3, for 150th.

Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.

Just a note, Islwynn was related to Glarial (I think thats his name, the guy who makes the bows) And eluned was not related to Glarial? I think

You're right. Islwyn is Glarial's grandson. Eluned isn't related to Glarial I believe.

cliffside1ra5.png

And Glarial is Glarial, I soubt elves would change their names, but The names Haluned and Eluned seem so closely similar that maybe there will be an upcoming quest following the Eluned's blood line. Just like We did with Islwynn. I highly doubt it being called Mourning Ends part 3, as this is a way different line then to the mourners, unless the mourners had something to do with Haluned's death.

As I said we are following traces of Elven past

Islwynn- Glarial

Glouphrie

Eluned-Haluned?

It is possible =]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Glouphrie is a Gnome and his only tie in with the Elven Storyline is that his City is poisoning Isafdar

Oh wow, I hate everything -.-

Death kinda scares me.

your obsession with phallic objects shows quite clearly in your artworks.

Ffs, someone put this in their sig.

Could this mean that we can enter Pirffidanas (However one would spell it) in the past, but are not allowed in the present?
