Yup, this is exactly what I did. Every time I felt like logging off, I'd go to MA and AFK it for a couple hours while I did something else.

It's really sad to see such a great thread devolve into "U GET A LIFE NOLIFER".

Always impresses me to see people risking that much in PVP. Risking 60M? Would be inconvenient to lose. Risking a chaotic weapon? INSANITY. =D>

I have a celestial catalytic staff bound, so I was wondering which ring is better to use with it. I've been trying both, but I haven't noticed a difference . . . at all.

It's only 300k experience for one, too. It's absolutely worth getting (unless you're never, ever going to use combat magic).

Will that be with a chaotic crossbow or runite? I'm planning on getting 99 ranged and prayer (95 in both now) through frost dragons, but I won't have a chaotic crossbow, so I'm curious.

This is 100% exactly the truth. Well, you'd have to boss hunt a LOT to make up for the 30 hours lost. Personally, I think it's a pretty good trade-off, but in terms of pure efficiency, it's not. I was thinking more about just buying the plain +4 str ring. D'oh, I thought you were both talking about the MA rings. My bad. #-o

Two things: 1. Bladewing does have 300 rank. 2. Getting 300 rank is actually pretty inefficient, even if you're going far passed 99 in combat experience. It takes 25-30 hours depending on how you do it. That said, Bladewing, Stonewall, Morionic, and myself all have 300 rank. Z0MG THE EFFICIENCY PREACHERS BEING INEFFICIENT WORLD GONA SPLODE NOW. Your lack of knowledge on these is amazing. Head over to the "Efficiency" thread to find more of it. Great read, very amusing. OT Is it possible to do these with regular prayers, or not soul split? Like say if I just used protect range, and use EE and uni to heal. I'm looking to finish these tasks faster then I can in the ancient cavern. There's an older guide on using normal prayers somewhere around here. It requires that you use brews. Also, in an older version of Zarfot's guide, he recommends bringing a BOB of food then switching to a combat familiar. The guide on these forums just recommends the combat familiar, though.

You know, all those economic "rules" failed to prevent the crash and the fact many people loose their job? It's also time real life stops worshipping all those gurus who think of "fundamental rules" in completely non-fundamental environments! Please don't introduce these things into runescape! You really need to do some research before you post about the economic crash. There's a reason why the economic rules didn't help. Oh, and IRL =/= Runescape, FYI.

Like Morionic mentioned, efficiency seems to be very stigmatic on these forums. There's much misunderstanding going on. I mean, think about who the main "culprits" are, then go and read their posts on this thread. What do they all have in common? They all mention FUN as being a very important part of efficiency and playing Runescape in general. Not one of them has mentioned spending billions of GP for a 1% increase in exp/h or anything like that. You're all exaggerating, and it's getting very tiring to read. Morionic made a very good post about this very subject a while ago. He said that people who love efficiency and who try to figure things out for other people (e: Grimy's spreadsheets) are actually being INEFFICIENT by doing so. They take time out of their days so YOU don't have to. How many of you anti-efficiency players have used xpx's frost dragons guide? What about Bladewing's chinning nechs guide? TheAncient's dungeoneering guide? I won't even ask about Morionic's spreadsheets. What do all of these things have in common? These players took time out of their days to help YOU, and you thank them by flaming them.

I think most people keep stacks of herbs in their banks anyway, so it wouldn't be a strain at all. I personally do 10 on herbs and 5 on maples (I kind of collect maples, and getting palm and magic seeds is always a nice surprise). Contradictory to what I said earlier, I've had claws multiple times and sold them multiple times, but I've ALWAYS kept my fury.

Some don't get that much money so wouldn't that get in the way for a quick floor? So wouldn't laws be worse if it's not c1? When they nerfed alching arrows, they increased GP drops. I usually have at least 20k GP in the first 5-10 minutes of a floor. I bind bloods because I can't make them.

Considering your stats, I think it's a little hazy, but generally claws > fury. However, claws + fury is better than only having or the other. You can make 10m in a week from farm runs and MTK alone, so you can get your claws and get a fury not long after.
