  1. What? If you're ranged slaying, you should definitely do blue and black dragons, aquanites (if they're unlocked), black demons (Taverly dungeon with a cannon), wyrms (easy), spirit mages (easy), tzhaar (Jad?), and greater demons. Use darts or knives on greater demons in Kuradal's dungeon. You need to do Tale of the Muspah or something to access ice wyrms. Don't bother unlocking warped torts (rangeable) or terror dogs. Use an unholy book for prayer. Always use eagle eye. You should wait to see what new ranged armor comes out tomorrow before you do anything, though. EDIT: Verac's skirt is a viable option for both melee defense and prayer bonus. EDIT2: Ah ha, so the OP copied this post and put her name on it. I understand what he's saying. If you were going to maximize your exp gains (which you should, obviously), I would pretty much agree with MstrMonopoly.
  2. Yeah, they're easily the best possible task. I can't imagine why anyone would block them. They're not difficult to slay at all.
  3. CLS has an epic stab bonus, watch this guy use CLS for his iron dragons task. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yud7cGvYngo CLS has the highest stab bonus of any non pvp weapon in the game, +107. Its 10% more but 25% slower. And we already know that the guy in that video isn't all that smart or knowledgeable. He's using both bandos boots and DFS when he is praying melee and using super antifires. I second this, and aside from his [developmentally delayed]ed equipment, he's very slow. He takes his sweet time picking up drops and attacking his dragons. Not exactly a prime example of a master slayer. He'd be better off using the CLS on slash, too.

I've had a hard time buying pouches and scrolls, so I try not to waste them. :( I even have a supply of steel bars in case I run out.
  5. Yeah, I think the OP might be confusing the two.

Ah, I always use a combat familiar, so I've never been able to try that. Thanks.
  7. I, if no one else, like reading stonewall's posts. You're just butthurt because he called you out and proved you wrong. Agreed.
  8. What's the risk for that setup?
  9. Lol'd. Pic is about a month old. Got the robes myself. Fog is cool again? I may go and try it out a again, been a long time. I have no idea what you mean by "cool." I just wanted to get the robes myself. I sold them to a friend for market price (they had street at the time).
  10. I beat him without using soul split, extremes, or anything like that. My stats were only a little better than yours, I think. I used full void with a zamorakian spear, switching to a hand cannon during the freeze part. I started with a war tort and switched to a unicorn when it was gone. I used brews, super restores, rocktails, and phoenix necklaces. I used piety, switching to eagle eye for the freeze. Took me eight tries.

Then kill them? Lemme rephrase what he said. Act I: squareroot2, the Hunter - squareroot2 dominates his prey in a matter of seconds. Act II: squareroot2, the Hunted - squareroot2's foe, humiliated by the inglorious defeat, plans revenge on his nemesis by refusing to kill him and end the match. squareroot2 is left gathering tokens in the center for several minutes, with little extra reward. So when you know you've beat him, stand in a house and kill yourself? Can you explain that more?
  13. Controlled is best assuming you're using a whip. Bandits are really bad exp, FYI.
  14. You have to have (or boost to) 79 slayer to kill wyverns. It's aquanites that need 78 slayer. Wyverns are 72. You can use wild pies to boost your slayer. D'oh, my mistake. :-X

I, too, am annoyed by the matching system. I'm really not interested in fighting level 50s. It's easy tokens, yeah, but I enjoy a challenge. I don't know if pairing should be based on combat level alone, though, as I've been beaten by a level 80 pure who was maxed ranged/mage and had claws + chaotic staff. He's a front page FoGer. I HATE people who try to train magic on my steel titan. No matter how many times the titan kills them, they just keep coming back. I end up winning the match by getting 5k charges, which is boring. This would happen a lot less if I was paired with people my level. AND FURTHERMORE, I hate people who [bleep] about me using familiars and standing in the middle of the arena. Do you want me to take my armor off, too?
  17. I definitely prefer the 2h over the spear. However, I've noticed that I'm pretty much useless against any boss that's weak to stab, so having a few spears on a team is good.
  18. Yeah, definitely join some clans. I know CW clans hold their own events quite frequently. I know what you mean about overcrowding. SW, CW, and FP are just kill-fests on their respective themed worlds. It's all luck and no skill, really. Also, I hate sore losers, too. FoG is the best place to find them, I think. I get flamed pretty frequently for standing in the middle of the arena and using a steel titan.
  19. Chaotic longsword is a stronger weapon but slower than a chaotic rapier which is weaker but faster. Not debatable either. If its moved to questionaires. So be it. I'm happy enough to make a thread with 9 pages of discussion. Actually, the chaotic weapons thread has far more debate and discussion, all of which is actually useful. okay? Your thread no longer has any discussion value. On topic: I like skill capes.

  21. Why? You love your party hat. JoeSlayer9001 loves his slayer cape. What's the difference? Once again, you're criticizing people who worked hard for something, yet you resorted to flaming and cries of "OFF TOPIC LOL!" when I criticized what you worked for. Do you really not see how hypocritical you're being? I edited my first post to eliminate that hypocrisy. So, once again. Discuss why you still wear your skillcape. Because I like it. Same reason you wear your party hat. Let's go back to utility: Do you wear your party hat to solo bandos? No? Well I don't wear my skill cape to solo bandos. According to your logic, I shouldn't own a skill cape because it, as an item, has no practical benefit to me as a near-maxed player. Your party hat, as an item, has no benefit to you as a maxed player. It would be stupid of you to wear your party hat ANYWHERE a better helm would be more beneficial, which eliminates any practical use for your party hat. Now explain to me why I'm wrong about you bringing your party hat to solo bandos. If you can't, your point about the utility of capes becomes moot, because you do the same exact thing that you rant about. EDIT: After seeing your new first post, I suppose this thread now belongs in questionnaires.
