  1. This. You may even consider using stronger bolts. Do you use piety/eagle eye and void? Do you use the NE safespot that allows you to kill two demons without stopping? If you answered yes to all of these questions, I'd say that overloads are worth it. But, again, only if you're in it for the long haul. I stay on curses so piety isnt an option, and I only turmoil when usin darklight, I do use leech defense(better than range), but I have never heard of a method to kill two seperate spawns. I usually just use worl 2 or 6 for the ~10 second spawn. IMO, TDs are one of the only places in the game where I would highly recommend normal prayers over curses (flashing, not straight praying). There's a guide by Kingofthecav here on TIF that explains the two spawn method.
  2. Wow, glad to see I'm not the only one. I disconnect every so often when I use my glory tele in my house.

  4. I would say use an adze and cut teaks, collecting the special teaks for use later on. You'll make a little money and it's really good experience. Or cut ivy, of course, which would allow you to make some real money sooner (like Bladewing said).
  5. Holy Jesus.
  6. The "Did You Know..." ( I refuse to call it a DYK, which looks exactly like a another word. That's how I read it whenever any of you say it. inb4immature) is very cool this week. I have full penance and I've never thought of that application for it.
  7. While this topic has become incredibly informative, I'm skeptical as to how any of this applies to the OP, who is far from maxed combat. If he/she were maxed, I would say definitely go for Bandos and claws (though this is more efficient, I would personally buy the SGS; I've always wanted one). Given that the OP has 70 prayer and relatively low defense, I would be very surprised if he could use bandos, claws, a combat familiar, and piety, and not have to bank at least once most tasks, which is not good. For convenience, and until you have much higher stats, I would say go with the SGS.
  8. Very nice guide. Well written, to the point, and well organized.
  9. If they're taking this week off, next week better be absolutely mind-blowing.
  10. I pretty much agree with this. I just wish that the Karamja Gloves 2 still had an effect on the price, maybe lowering it by 200-500k tokkul?
  11. Barbarian Assault Addicts is probably the best BA clan there is. You need full penance, level five in all roles, and you need to be good. It's an invite-only clan, so you basically have to get lucky and play BA with some of the members (they play in world 6 often), and ask about it. Ask everyone you see wearing full penance. It's not a "high-level" clan, either. Some of the best BA players are pretty low level. I know a girl who has a level 15 account that's ranked in the top 20 for healer, collector, and defender. Keep in mind that high level players are not necessarily good at BA.
  12. This sums it up nicely.
  13. Slayer is probably one of your better options right now. Again, please, for MY sanity, do not hunt grenwalls without a fruit bat. :-(
  14. I highly, highly recommend that you get 69 summoning and use a fruit bat. You will seriously go crazy if you don't. :-|
  15. I looked for a swastika, too. That's pretty win, haha.
  16. First claw drop ever, best drop ever, best day of RS ever. The SGS is borrowed. I'm keeping the claws for a little while, then selling for 92 prayer. I wish I had gotten a picture of it on the ground, but I just automatically clicked the drop pile like I always do. Stayed for a few more kills, then got three TDs on me because I was PMing everyone, L. Gonna go do a bunch of barrows, giant mole soloing, etc with my claws. OMFG32u4buiriuire@@@@@@ EDIT: LOLLLLLLLLLLL ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I think I accidentally hacked Runescape or something.
  17. Very cool. I can never rate 99 agility lower than a 10. It's easily the hardest skill for me to train.
  18. I lol'd. Maybe not as good as the year of giant cabbage, but I had a laugh nonetheless. EDIT: The poll made me lol even more.
  19. Wow, thanks for the tip.
  20. Love the preparation; but might I ask why the white partyhat? :P Obviously if you own a partyhat you bring it to caves. Only if you're cool. THIS.
  21. 0.0 you would pay ~30 dollars a month? That's twice as expensive as World of Warcraft, don't know if I would be willing to spend that much  The 15 dollars a month is what keeps me from doing WoW. Otherwise I would have jumped ship a long time ago. Well I guess kinda similar to what Aeil was saying, the reason WoW is more expensive is because there is a lot more high level content. In fact most of the patch updates and expansions are focused on the "end game" content, each update coming with a whole host of new high level dungeons, weapons, and armour for high leveled players. I think this might be getting off topic, but I guess Blizzard can focus more on the high level stuff cause they also have a lot more staff, and are a much bigger company. Patches are infrequent, so Blizzard wants them to count. For them updates are more about quality than quantity, whereas it's the opposite with Jagex. As I said earlier in this thread, Jagex uses "weekly updates" as a bread-and-circus to keep the younger and/or less dedicated players interested in the game. It's really irritating and true. I would be perfectly happy if we only got updates every three or four months as long as they were good and were aimed more towards the endgame, with maybe a few low level updates sprinkled in.
  22. wow i'm so excited for part three. does Itachi want to assimilate the SSB characters?! OMFG
  23. Also, I would have to disagree with rating the Amulet of Ranging above the Amulet of Fury for ranged. Like with melee, you'll want to be using eagle eye or leech ranged, so the prayer bonuses of the fury are more useful than the +5 ranged bonus from the ranged amulet. Given that ranged can attain such high bonuses already, -5 isn't going to hurt at all.
  24. You definitely don't need special lighters for the altar.
  25. It's also useful to note that when using piety or turmoil, Bandos plate, SW cape, and Verac's skirt is better than proselyte plate, fire cape, and Verac's skirt. For a slight reduction in prayer bonus (and defense, though this is negligible) you can switch out the skirt for tassets, though I'm unsure of which is more useful. I lean towards the Verac's skirt. If you wanted to do a "which barrows item is better" comparison, it would be: Verac's skirt > Dharok's/Torag's platelegs (depends on current prices) > Guthan's chainskirt The platebodies are mostly interchangeable depending on current prices, which would make Guthan's the preferred (and long standing) choice. A Verac's brassard can be used while pietying/turmoiling if your defense is wanting. However, I would still recommend that any serious slayer get a fire cape, proselyte plate, and Verac's skirt as soon as possible, upgrading to the SW cape and BCP eventually. There's really no reason to not use piety or turmoil while slaying. I would agree with removing the AGS from the offensive spec weapons section.
