  1. I'm definitely gonna enter. I've never been outside of my country, so it'd be an amazing opportunity.
  2. There's only two new dev blogs, which isn't uncommon. We usually get them in pairs it seems. I agree with Mod Mark's account of what a GM quest is. Interesting blog, and one that I hoped would shut people up, but I guess that was way too much to ask for.
  3. This. I'm looking forward to the double experience weekend.
  4. I'm either going to do runecrafting or agility. I don't have the money for herblore supplies, and slayer spots will be extremely crowded. I'll probably go with agility for the first few hours, cause it literally kills me to train that skill.
  5. I really like some of the music, especially newer tracks like Zaros Stirs. I agree with some of the other posters that I'd love to see some sort of optional packet of ACTUAL orchestral music. Being a composer and someone who works with MIDI on a regular basis, I can sympathize with them to an extent. It's sad that the audio team is so... insignificant in comparison to everything else going on at Jagex HQ. They have very little support and that probably wont change. I wouldn't mind going to work for the audio team.
  6. I lol'd. I love Horatio jokes.
  7. Having just finished my first desert wyrms task, I can verify that waterskins, enchanted tiaras, lunar spells, and knives are all totally unnecessary. I'm using a bunyip + EE with no problem. As for the rune defender argument, it's a totally moot point. Everyone (read: people who are good at Runescape) knows a rune defender is the best shield for slayer. Period. Except for wyverns.
  8. Very, very true. Very few levels and achievements get automatic tens from people other than friends. IMO, if it's not OMFG MEGA AWESOME, you should just post a blog or a picture in the screenshots thread.
  9. You didn't know the question so you thought it was a good idea to post? OT: On the day of release a lot of calculations were made, and it was deemed pretty useless. Aside from the redemption, which is pretty handy. Also, this belongs in Help+advice. Nice reading comprehension skills. OT: Thieving and agility are the only uses I can think of for it. I'd say it's an aesthetic armor set rather than a practical one.
  10. Yes. Get a few people doing it, and unless you pay 100% attention, that person is dead. Why would anyone want to do that? It isn't like it would benefit them and they would get the drops (Because they won't)...I guess some people are just jerks. See someone slaying without a fire cape? Kill them. At least, that would work if the fire cape were actually vastly superior to other capes versus ice wyrms, which it's not, so you might accidentally kill someone who really DOES have a fire cape and chose not to wear it. It's a fun idea in theory.
  11. Haha, those are pretty good. I'm digging the Jad bowl and Wise Old Man.
  12. Furthermore, despite what merchants may think, a staff of light is not worth 100m, 150m, 200m, etc. Not even close. That's why Jagex sets relatively low starting points for items. Sometimes they get it horribly wrong, like with dragon claws, but I'd say they got it pretty close with the SoL. Kind of unrelated, but I remember that when spirit shields came out, I had to catch my breath when I saw the GE prices. It just seemed unreal to me that they would price them so high. Kind of funny to think about nowadays when a divine is worth over 500m on the GE.
  13. I guess my post is irrelevant at this point, but a wolper is definitely better than a geyser unless you happen to have 99 mage and not 99 ranged.
  14. I would think that Jagex is more concerned with ingame macroing. I can't imagine that it'd be against the rules or a bannable offense, but better to just play it safe.
  15. Sell it to a friend of yours that wants it. Someone who will use it and not just merch it, of course. If no one wants it, just toss it in the GE for max in a few days.
  16. Better start saving. Nah, I won't need to save. They'll come down soon enough. As for why they are that expensive, people are stupid. Some people will pay that amount to simply have it so soon. Frankly, its people paying money to show off having something that have no real benefit. I hope its worth the exorbitant cash you eople pay for it. What do you mean, you people? I lol'd. I, too, hope that the hype from the kingly attire takes the focus off of the SoL, hex, and focus sight.
  17. I still haven't had an ice wyrms task. <_< One desert wyrms task. No focus. I don't feel like playing anymore, honestly. That's how strung up I am about these items.
  18. If you can not use Youtube without getting a very bad connection, then killing Jad and obtaining Fire cape is immaterial as well. This. A thousand times this. LordKafei, judging by your posts in this thread, I can only assume you're trolling. You're no Omali. You're not even an Eatrunearrow. Knock it off.
  19. While it'd be nice, I think it's a little too broken the way you've suggested it. There would have to be strict limits and high costs, in my opinion. That said, I'd really love a few desert/jungle wyrms tasks. I want my full helm.
  20. You flame and troll the guy who felt that killing Nomad was an achievement worth posting, but not the guy who posts his brand new slayer helm, which is infinitely easier to get? wat. Anyway, congratulations on the helm. I was very happy to get mine, too. Do you actually think the rate this forum is about the achievement? :shame: All we are really rating is the name/person nowadays. You're very right, sadly.
  21. Firemaking is good for two things: Inferno adze and handcannons. That's it. Period. EDIT: I do love making patterns and stuff while lighting fires, though. I actually enjoy firemaking because of that.
  22. To you naysayers bashing SirHemen's guide, you need to remove your heads from your [wagon] immediately. That guide is very useful and has helped numerous players get their fire capes. Maybe you should try it and actually ATTEMPT the fight caves instead of crying and whining about your "poor" connections and lack of arms or whatever other excuses you can come up with. Jesus Christ, they're not even content with just crying about the fire cape. They even feel the need to discredit great guides without even looking at them.
  23. You flame and troll the guy who felt that killing Nomad was an achievement worth posting, but not the guy who posts his brand new slayer helm, which is infinitely easier to get? wat. Anyway, congratulations on the helm. I was very happy to get mine, too.
  24. lolwut. There will be more staffs now that Duradel has a rare chance of assigning ice wyrms.
