What would you be using these claws for? You should never spend the majority of your bank on an item that has such limited uses.

Nothing exciting, really. Are 1 defense pures even effective anymore? Seems like tanks, zerkers, and maxed mains are the way to go these days. 5/10. I like the 99 Magic.

I imagine that it wouldn't be terribly different from bursting lobsters. Just bring Dharok's instead of magic armor. You'd also save inventory spaces from not having to bring runes.

In a previous blog, I mentioned that my girlfriend and I live together. Sadly, starting in two days, our living arrangements come to an end. Fear not, however, for our relationship is still very much intact, and I'm happy to report that our no longer living together is due to our financial and educational situations. I have not been able to secure job since October, when I lost my position at an Italian restaurant. I've also discovered that graduation requirements at my college differ greatly from the requirements at my previous one. So, after much discussion, we've decided that I should move back to Southern California to finish up my two year degree and save some money. Have I mentioned that I'm a musician and amateur producer? Have I mentioned that paying for an apartment and school severely limits one's ability to purchase decent (if any) recording software and equipment? 'Tis true, sadly. Moving back home will allow me to save money for all of these nice things that I want, as well as allow me to continue my education. I should graduate within the next six months, assuming that I can get into any classes, of course. <_< Funding for my school has been cut severely by the state. So, aside from that, I've been spending the past few days doing nothing on Runescape but playing Barbarian Assault. In just one night and a couple hours the next morning, I was able to obtain level five in the roles of attacker, defender (amazing, right?), and healer. I'm only a level four collector, sadly. I still need another fifty points for level five. :wink: I've come to enjoy BA, which may be because there are so many people playing right now. It's extraordinarily easy to find good teammates, thankfully. I'll be getting full penance over the next week (after all of this moving business, of course) so that I can easily secure decent teams, which will allow me to quickly fill my penance horn, thing. I hate training agility, so I'm taking full advantage of the opportunity to use that horn. Ninety-nine hitpoints is coming along slowly but surely. Minergoo (Puppyking) is quickly gaining on me in our race. I'm not worried about him beating me, though. I can just dump all of my money into prayer potions and power-slay if he comes close. :grin: I'm getting very close to ninety-seven attack, strength, and defense. I've decided to mage-slay to ninety-seven magic as soon as I hit ninety-nine hitpoints. It's going to be an expensive process, but I'm happy to report that I own some of the best mage gear in the game sans arcane spirit shield and seers' ring (i). Did you know that an Ardougne cape 3 provides a +6 magic attack bonus and a +6 prayer bonus? You sacrifice only four points in magical offense for a huge boost in prayer. I'll be blogging my progress once I start. I hope to make a guide to mage-slaying in the future, so I'll also be recording experience rates, costs, etc. I'm a little skeptical that I can even afford to do it, but farming herbs, papayas, cactus spines, and whiteberries should help a little. Hi, I'm looking for an active monster hunting clan. I'm mostly interested in GWD, Dag Kings, and Corp Beast, though I don't feel that I have the stats for the latter. Here's where I am: My RSN is obtrawrian, though it's usually Obtaurian. Just a joke for this month. 132 combat. 96 attack, strength, and defense. About 150k experience to 97 in all three. 97 HP. Close to 98. 85 Magic. 90 Ranged. 82 Prayer. Bones for about 84. 90 Summoning. Close to 92. 94 Slayer, just for good measure. :thumbup: Unfortunately, I don't have a godsword. I do, however, have great gear for Dag Kings (barrows, balmung, claws of guthix, etc) and possibly Corp (void, z spear). RECRUIT ME.

You need level five in one role to to get the master horn. Whether or not the number of level five roles you have affects how fast the horn depletes is unconfirmed, but it's likely that it doesn't make a difference, as there's certainly no word on it in the knowledge base.

I've been nolifing BA for a couple days now. Level five in everything but collector (fifty points from level five collector). I'll be working on full penance and trident next, then I'll start filling my horn (that sounds vaguely sexual). BA is kind of fun once you get the hang of it. I still hate being defender, however. The only reason I'm slightly good at it is because I'm level five. I keep playing with these pro defenders who take out all of the runners before TWO attackers can take out the fighters and rangers. I don't get it at all. :blink:

I deal with a lot of anti-Americanism in the clan chat that I spend time in while I play. It's annoying, but I make the best of it by doing the same thing right back. For example, there's a lot of Kiwis (people from New Zealand; I have no idea what you would call someone from New Zealand other than a Kiwi) that hang out in the chat. When one of them starts going on about Americans, I just ask them how the weather is in Australia this week. People from New Zealand hate being called Australians. It's very effective.

This. I really cannot understand the complaints that this quest was lacking in plot or storyline. This quest has huge implications for future Mahjarrat quests.

One of the things I always liked about the Penance armor was the unique stat bonuses. None of the parts were seriously useful for high level players, but it was still nice to have the option. I especially liked the +2 to ranged and magic on the Runner Boots. I'm pretty disappointed that these bonuses were removed in favor of increased defense. The set bonus is completely useless, too. The trident, while kind of cool, is also useless for higher level players. It doesn't have a damage modifier, the special attack, while cool, isn't going to help me at all, and rune-saving effect is way too scarce at a 1/60 chance. I think there were some good ideas here, but they weren't implemented very well. I would like to see the original stats restored to all of the penance armors while retaining the set effect (and making it better). I would like to see the trident's effect augmented to be more common. I'd also like to see a damage modifier of at least 5%, which sounds reasonable to me. BA is such a headache-inducing game for a lot of players. I don't think we'll see the armor as a staple in combat, but it'd be nice to have the option. The double experience in Agility is really nice. I'll probably play BA just for that. The Agility updates to Thieving, Fishing, and Hunter are odd, but welcomed -- especially for thieving and fishing.

OR, go to waterfiends and make money while collecting charms for 88 Summoning. That way you can buy both an AGS and a pony.

But Black Demons are better experience and great for crimson charms, so why not switch black demons with hellhounds on your list? Doesn't make sense. Hellhounds are good for nothing.

I guarantee this is false. It has been tested by many, many slayers, most of whom probably picked it up from Zarfot's guide. It is, in fact, faster to use a Saradomin Sword than a whip and defender. Slayer is a skill of subtleties (as unsubtle as the name may be), and this is just one of the many.

It's nearly impossible to die to a rusher if you know what you're doing.

I would do clues more often if I got charms as a reward. As it stands, I don't like spending twenty-thirty minutes running around for 50k.
