Seeing as how the price is so low, no one wants to sell them so that the GE system can catch up and increase the price. Ah, no wonder. The prices shall creep higher and higher. I bet it will reach the 100M mark in several months or so. First off, you will need to understand the basics of street price vs GE price. The street price tends to stay the same or drop while the GE price for that item will rise slowly to the point where no one other than merchants really cares for that item. Public demand is the demand that regular person has for an item for the purpose of making a quick buck or having a rare item to own. This demand keeps the prices rising and the merchants happy. When the GE reachs a price where it becomes too expensive for the regular people to even think about owning it the item will crash. Without public demand the only demand is that of merchants, which won't hold integrity. Further more, making prediction of when or if an item will become a certain GE price shouldn't be done without inside knowledge of certain major merchant clans such as the private one RS2merch. Remember that when I say merchant clan I mean the people with skill that flip items or buy when public demand rises to make money and don't try to buyout an item to create false demand and hurt players; those people are price manipulators and have no skill. If you wish to start getting involved here I suggest you take a look at many of the previous pages to get an understanding of the rare/3rd age/ and spirit shield markets.

Well the last week has been an epic one. I got an elysian sigil in the GE for mid from a cs group, had fun with it and it rose 19M, while doing some other things. Heres one for all of you who love to spot what's wrong!

Well after a few days of fun with it I sold it. It's a great shield don't get me wrong, but it's not worth 400M nor it is worth even 250M in my opinion. Sold it to the corper for white+cash. This is the best offer out there for an elysian so I'm happy. After some persuasion lala convinced me to do him a huge favor and sell it for his red+cash. That's taking half of what it's worth for it, but hey gotta <3: him. In the end I got what I wanted while making 19M in a ge rise. Have fun with the white lala <3:

It's the fact that people are too lazy to collect their own materials because they are GE products. It's not a bad update by any means, they simply fixed the price of a few common items in an attempt to make them realistically priced. If Jagex were to take a proactive approach towards price manipulators the GE would be dotted with changes like this, which in the long run would be better for all of us. Just because it's unbuyable it doesn't mean it's impossible to get. That's what we had to do before the GE.....get our own items when we couldn't find a seller.

@rawr_im_very_scary: The players could do more and there have been cases where we have tried, but couldn't get a large enough group to make a protest without it turning into a riot. It can be done as long as a common cause is identified. It just might take awhile for players to actually get organized, but when they do it will make a greater stand than a thread with 100 supporters on RSOF in the rants section. I am have taken AP American history and scored a 5 on the AP exam. The reference is not wrong as I have the books here with me at my desk and I used them as a reference. The British system could not rule an entire continent such as North America without a massive reform in politics. As John Adams said "the wheel has come off". If you wish to debate this we can, but let's do it via private message as it would just be spam on this topic.

My article was not about the GE or prices. I used the GE as an example in my argument that just plain ranting isn't doing it's job anymore. If would have read the article in it's entirety you might have grasped the fact that I was only using it as an example. Discussing all the flaws in the GE would take thousands upon thousands of words which is not suited for an article, but more for a topic like this.

I'd say no, gradually train smithing whenever you have extra ores or bars and you'll eventually get 99. There is no need to get the cape or 99 at the moment as all you can do is make rune plates legs, skirts, and the R2H, which you can anyway with a dwarven stout.

Pumpkins, disks, and easters won't act like 3rd age did because they really have no purpose besides being a rare item. They will hit a price in the GE where the public demand will just flat out stop. Once this happens they will fall back down to their real price which would be around 15M. They will however get continuously bought out and dumped after then until they start to settle like Arcanes and Spectrals did.

By censoring "gay", "homosexual", and "lesbian" Jagex is not being predujice towards any group in any way, but they are saving their staff from millions of reports where that word is used offensively. You're taking offence out of nothing, this is a game where the number one prioriy of Jagex is being efficient with this staff. I'd rather have those words censored and have 10 less people wasting their time in Customer Support sorting out whether a sentence with the word "gay" in it is offensive or not. I'd rather have the salary of those 10 people be spent towards QA people.

We I am giving advice I do it to the general population. A good merchant can flip any item with the right tactics. They are a fairly unstable item as they can turn on dime. They have been a rollercoster of min-max for the past month which would freak people out. Before 3rd age got rebought out (for the millionth time) I used to flip arcanes and spectrals. It would take me a few days to buy for min-mid then I'd sell for mid-max over the next 24 hours or so. It is not something the majority want to do as people tend to panic right when an item doesn't sell. I could babble on about in-depth merchanting, but I'd lose the majority of our readers in a heart beat. On another note....Santas were heavily bought out about 12 hours ago and were sellable for easters and now they seemed to have dropped to buyable at max. Everything else is basically the same since my last update except for the fact that divines and elysians dropped over 200M in street price and are not longer selling for white+cash. Arcanes and spectrals are a bit more stable now also.

The majority of Free/Members polls only average 110K voters. Out of the however many millions of accounts Jagex says log on weekly that just isn't enough to make an honest assumption about the attitude of the players. Wrong. Statistically, 110k votes is more than a large enough sample size to get a proper view of the entire base. Polls that you hear about on TV usually sample 1,000-3,000 people and their margin of error is almost always less than 5%. With 110k votes, the margin of error would be well under 1%. I think there needs to be much more inclusion of player polls. Don't they have the player mods and high level players giving feedback about how the game needs improvement? What I want to know is how involved these players are in future updates. They need to be consulted on such things like making extreme potions untradeable and unavailable in pvp. Yeah, they might get 'insider information' and use it to make money, but the easy solution to that is they can only participate in these discussions if they agree to temporary GE freezes for their character. As a matter of fact unless the poll has under a .% margin of error it is not to be trusted. There are over 140 million Runescape accounts, however the majority of them are inactive I'd still estimate around 10 million different people log on each month and could participate in the pools. The best example of fixing a poll was when merchants in Runescape got everyone of their friends to vote for the santa costume for a Christmas reward so in turn the santa hat would rise faster than before during the Christmas season. Now if all 10 million+ players had voted the out come might have been different. I'm sure the margin of error in Runescape polls is greater than 1%. The high level and clan leader forums are so those players can have a direct link with Jagex in discussing ideas. They have little insider info on updates and I'm not sure if they were consulted or not. The player mod forums are not for that type of thing and although they do get some future content told to them they aren't consulted the majority of the time. Just coming out and saying something is bad without support is meaningless as you said. The paper was a collaboration of many posts and discussions on thread about this very subject. The suggestions are what you said they were, suggestions, if you have better ones you can post them, but I never said you had to do them only. The sentence does not need a comma to be correct. And again in the second sentence: more syntax errors. And top it off with redundancy. That is not at all as redundant as some sentences can get and I see nothing wrong with it. It's more of your preference on this issue and it even though it may seem to you as redundant the editors/author might not think so. And here we have poor diction. I do use them from time to time in my formal papers without any negative comments by the teacher. Sometimes you can shrug it off and say, "Well, you understood what I meant." But pervasive errors like this are a significant impediment to comprehension. As for the content: None of these do anything to address the problem in the slightest. They have about the same effect as ignoring it and waiting for it to go away, except that you have to waste your time standing in the GE typing "flash3:wave2:Bobthemercher clan is a scam! Don't join!" PKers aren't going to stop PKing because you kill one person once. Merch clans aren't going to stop merching because you warn people about them for five minutes. If they save one player from being scammed or one person from funneling in 5M into the economy then I would consider it a success. The point is to do it with your friends and have a greater impact on the situations your addressing. The point is not to stop something in their tracks, but to slow it down and if some people see you doing it they might even join in. Just a preference of mine they are not pkers they are trickers, and they are not merchant clans they are price manipulation clans. There is a very big difference between the two. Jagex does. If we want to effect change, we petition Jagex to make a change. Otherwise, we live with it. Period. O but we do. Living with it is not what people do, they will complain, rant, give suggestions, or become proactive if they are really after a change. A mass player action on subject would lead Jagex to look at the situation again and rethink their stance.
