The fact that the US has debt doesn't change the fact that they are a world superpower. The fact that they don't manufacture as much as China doesn't matter anyway. Does China have their armed forces in a large number of countries around the world? Is China considered the most important government to have on your side if you want to make any important foreign policy changes? The US has far more clout than China, or any other country. The fact that they have debt does little to nullify that. In the future, this may change. The fact that they have this debt could be detrimental in the future(towards them keeping superpower status) and countries like China and India hold more and more clout on the world stage. This doesn't mean they are currently superpowers with anything near the power held by the States. What he's trying to get at is that through the US's national debt, coupled with the fact that some countries are producing things most of the western world would struggle without, they're on a course to becoming superpowers too.

Partly the reason. :-w It's not showing up + [cabbage] happening + illness all happening at around the same time, at the end of the semester. One week I missed the one lesson I could not afford to miss due to track work and my alarm not going off. I managed to get up an hour after I should have and pretty much had to rush to the train (I was staying at my aunt and uncles for the week.) There was even cases where I was 1 of 2 people to show up and the teacher didn't even show. :wall:

Today I went shopping with my mum and sisters. Just picked up some snazzy things to wear to more formal events. Also got a white shirt that I want to spray paint on FREE HUGS for casual wear. Now to get my hands on spray paint and a stencil.

We have so many insane things towards alcohol because the only real past time we have is getting wasted. In NSW they've set laws on lock out times and when places have to close. They're also very unlikely to let you in to places if you have any signs of drug use or may have had more than enough drinks. My friend has been refused entry to a club because he had red eyes and they thought he was drunk, even though he'd been up working since 5:30 that day and hadn't had a drink since the previous weekend. I've heard of people being refused entry for having slightly dilated pupils from some disease they've had because some drugs also cause pupil dilation.

Agreed. Also I heard a reporter on TV in the U.S call it "the only world's superpower" Bullcrap. U.S, stop acting so mighty, and realize the rest of the world hates you. Technically it is. However, Brazil, China, the EU, India and Russia all have potential to become superpowers in the near future.

On the sides of all drinking containers in Australia it says how many standard drinks it is. For my birthday I bought a 700ML bottle of Whiskey, which was 22 standard drinks, the same amount of Toohey's New (a beer) would be something like 2.5 standard drinks. The formula for how many standard drinks is in the container; volume of container in litres x % alcohol by volume x 0.789. I see that this guideline is useful for all. Although if you can accurately say how many standard drinks you've had then you're not drinking right. Or should be in Vegas counting cards. :lol:

Confession: I failed my Tafe course and I won't be completing it next semester so I have nothing to do for 6 months unless I can find a job. Which is very hard here with no licence and no money to get a licence. My dad keeps telling me I should go for my licence and a few times I've said that I have no money but he seems to not hear me. Really annoying me. I'm really starting to think that I should let it go in to a full blown argument next time. Really getting sick of my parents.

Going shopping tomorrow to get some gear to finally have a classy outfit. Formal shoes kinda scare me so I'll be sticking with my causal shoes, which will help me stick out, might see if I can get some fluro laces so I'll be known as that guy with the cool shoes. Always wanted to try them, except the Adult store(s) nearby basically ONLY sell female "toys". I'm currently making an omlette <3 Dude, there's one like 10 mins from my place, we can go and have a few laughs some time. My folks are getting fed up with me becoming nocturnal the moment it becomes holidays or I have more than 2 days off in a row.

Finally going a function where I'll be dressing nice. Due to lack of money I'm pretty much sticking with what I've got available, which shall be jeans, shirt, overshirt, and my coolish shoes. Might be able to scrounge up enough for a nice hat. Anyone got any suggestions on a hat style?

What's 911? I'm English so if it's an American number, that would explain it. The emergency number to call. If it's like Australia's 000 you call for police, fire brigade and ambulance.
