  1. Doesn't do anything for me. The colours seem very washed-out and watery, which just doesn't appeal to me, although it may to some.
  2. Exactly. When less longs are being bought the price will go down. :P I think the prices change based on transactions made in the GE. So, they go down if more people buy at the lowest price. If nobody buys them, the GE won't have any info to put in its database, and so it'll stay the same. Buying less of them does not make the price drop.
  3. Sounds fun, I'd love to give it a try, however dangerous it may be  Interesting principle. I was surprised to see it was that easy to build, it doesn't even seem like it would take that long to make once you had the supplies, which aren't at all hard to get.
  4. I must agree that Pay It Forward was one of the saddest movies I've ever seen.
  5. So the basic principle in building a lifter is to place a small, sharp node on top of a larger, smooth node, and your lifter will go up? sounds relatively simple, and looks quite impressive. Extra Science marks pl0x? I'm actually gonna see if I can build one and show it to my science teacher for extra marks =) Any idea on where I could get instructions for the building?
  6. Hmm... The effect presents some interesting possibilities. However, is the B-BE a more powerful cause of motion than conventional methods? Could it be used for practical purposes, or is it simply an interesting twist in electricity than can produce a little bit of movement? I'd be interested in seeing what larger-scale experiments end up producing, as from your post and the article, I got the idea that the effect had only been produced with small models of the electrodes. For example, could a larger one power a car, or something similar? And for a final question... Which direction does the momentum go in? Does it push up, down, sideways, or multiple different ones?
  7. Unfortunately, they aren't. =( The first day the GE came out, I wanted to sell 1k yew longs on it. I put them up at the minimum price, expecting a quick sell like everything else I'd sold (except the sara page, but whatever  ). I didn't get the quick sell I was looking for. Even at the MINIMUM PRICE, they took me over TWO WEEKS to sell. That implies a serious lack of trading of yew longs on the GE. And as everyone has said, that's because the price is far too high. Once they adjust the trade system, there're going to be lots of complaints around this and some other price issues. However, this is simply the most noticeable because they're the most traded of the mispriced items.
  8. Well, getting 99 slayer with 1 combats just takes time, too. There's nothing in the game that is technically 'hard' to get (with the possible exception of the fire cape). It just takes time and grind, not skill. So by your logic, maxing your character would just take time to do as well. Is a maxed character overestimated, because it just takes time as well?...
  9. The truth is, the more intelligent posters seem to gravitate to the less crowded places. I know the Debate Club attracts the most intelligent audience I've seen on TIF, and guess what? It's an obscure subforum that nobody ever looks at except the people who really look for it. Off-topic does have its share, and that's precisely because most of the users (surprise, surprise) are RS players, and therefore use the RS-related boards more. It's the ones that want to get away from the idiots that end up in the obscure areas. So maybe it's not a sudden influx of immaturity, but simply a loss of maturity?
  10. The pathetic thing is that there are some out there who do take offense at this, no matter what the age. So, therefore, Jagex are forced to cater to the lowest common denominator in most aspects of the game. We get a little ticked at the censor sometimes, but we can work around it. However, these easily offended people could be REALLY offended by a lightening of the censor, and that could force them to quit. Jagex loses money. Too bad - the censor has to stay in place, no matter what we say. It's really a shame.
  11. Simple question... Is it worth getting a warrior ring over a ring of wealth? The money's no problem, but is it better?
  12. I got owned, let's have another try. I hope I can beat it sometime tonight...
  13. I thought it was pretty thought- and discussion-provoking. The essays themselves are enough to provoke debate and discussion from those who are interested in it, and I'm very interested... This destroys some of the ideas of science as we know it. If we can change things by simply being there to witness them, does that mean that we can CONTROL how things are changed if we are there to witness them with different numbers of witnesses? Or perhaps simply the intelligence of the witnesses could cause a difference in how the mass reacted? Also, the idea I got was that the idea scientists projected onto the atom they sent through (i.e. that it should act like a wave of water, because they were testing it in comparison to a wave of water) changed the way the atom reacted. Had they done a different test, with different expectations, comparing the results to something different, would the results themselves have been different? Very good read. You're an excellent essay writer. You also seem to have a much higher grasp of quantum physics than the next person... I'm intrigued.
  14. Aww, maaannn... I knew that! Crap. Anyways... You guys give up on the song with lyrics by all three of them?
  15. Yes? EDIT: My Champion Your Band is up! =D Check out my article on Rush here. It's pretty long, but whatever XD
  16. You sure you looked closely at the source?
  17. You sure? Damn... I know he uses DW sticks with ProMark heads, if that counts for anything. Beyond there, I'm lost.
  18. Lol  That's awesome. What game?
  19. He uses Sabian. My earlier question still stands - what song contains lyrics written by all three members of the band?

Hmmm... So she DOES have a small chest. I thought so... and you guys told me I was wrong! XD Damnit, we have to wait through the weekend for the next page? This is getting really cool...
  21. Me too! Help please? I know what ID3v2 tags are, but I can't for the life of me figure out what to do with the knowledge...
  22. What do those lines and dots remind you of? Perhaps the precursor to the telephone?
  23. There's only one, and neither of those is it
  24. Wow! Interesting. But looking stuff up is bad :D I never would've thought Stick It Out topped the charts, though. Strange. New question. Let's dig real deep for this one. Which Rush song contains lyrics written by all three members of the band? (Did I ask that before?)
