Money? How? Why?
Considering no one else has answered I figured I would. The thing is is that, for me, as a college student it is just much easier having to deal with a cell phone (and my entire family is on one plan so it's cheap) than worrying about a home phone. Hell, my cell is my home phone as far as it is concerned. Also, they become a necessary when you get into an accident and need to call someone (but no phone is around) or any sort of other emergency. Other than that they're pretty damn helpful by just being able to call anyone without having to be inside your house or using a payphone. However there is no Need for an iPhone, honestly. It's just a cool gadget and certainly not something I would imagine a 14 year old running around with. Okay, that's cool. But why does ANYONE need anything more than, like, a really crappy one? Is it just an 'I want to look cool' or 'I want to have cool games and ringtones and stuff' thing? Or is there a reason for anyone to actually own an iPhone, other than a piece of curio?

The Lost Library RPG ( Entrance "Exam")
Emmett studied the wall closer, looking for further clues. He could have sworn it was a diagram of a fireball. He searched around the walls as Xarosen rushed ever closer, praying for some strange clue, some further insight into how to defeat this strange demon.

Get Smart
Wow. I'd never heard of it until now, but if it has Steve Carell, it's worth watching. And honestly - swordfish? Who wouldn't like that? I'm gonna see it soon. Thanks guys =P

Money? How? Why?
Would someone mind informing me of why it is an honest necessity for everyone to have a cell phone? I've never had and most likely never will have a cell, and never missed it. Honestly, isn't it just extra money you're spending? Why do you find a cell phone to be even worth paying for? (Note that this is a general question, and is neither directed specifically at Goddess, NH or the OP.)

Man I hate people (my weekend story)
Wow. I hung out with the girl I like and a few friends all weekend and just kinda chilled. 0.0 I'm very, very impressed by the way you responded to the situation. I probably would've freaked out and killed somebody long before you ever thought about it, but... Muchos kudos to you, you're a very, very good person, however much you may not feel like it. That may not have been the most fun weekend, but at least you can say you most likely saved someone's life because of it. Somehow, there may have been some small smidgen of worth in that [cabbage]hole of a night. =D> =D> =D>

Major League Baseball
Unfortunately, all I'm doing here is adding to the overwhelming lack of enthusiasm on this thread right now, but baseball is brutally boring unless you're actually in the game. Yah, maybe it's a Canadian thing, but I prefer hockey, eh? But srsly, I've never understood how baseball can be enjoyable to watch. When the action gets going, it's fine, but then there's nothing happening for 90% of the game. It bores me. Beavers and igloos are cool too.

The Euro 2008 tread! ~support siggys + poll! ~
Turkey FTW. I just watched a taped version of the Germany-Portugal game. Now THAT was a hell of a game in the second half. Portugal came this close to scoring many times in the last ten minutes, and on into the extra time... I was SO hoping for a beauty of a Ronaldo goal to top off the game and throw it into silver-goal, but no dice. I'll just have to wait til the semis. I'm cheering for Italy in the tournament as a whole, BTW. Third-favourite team, behind England and France, and only slightly ahead of Argentina (yes, I know they're not in Euro, but WHATEVER, they still rock).

Money? How? Why?
Well, you're kinda screwed if you don't want to get a steady job. I'm nearly broke all the time, and guess what? I don't have a job. I babysit lots, I mow lawns, etc... But without steady income, it's out as fast as it's in. In winter it's better - I referee hockey for cash then. That's fine money. But still, there's just no easy way to make the money without working a steady job, especially if you want $400 in a month. Find a part-time job somewhere - or, if you want one you can choose to go with or not on a game-by-game basis, I'd really suggest getting into reffing. Any sport. You can turn down games you don't want, and it pays good money if you can get a couple of games in a weekend. I make around $120 every hockey tournament weekend, and it's the best job ever. Find something you like doing. Then do it for money. Easy way out.

Offical Age of Conan thread
Sweet. I'll add you right now. By the way, I'm playing on a PvP server, but really have no idea how PvP works in AoC. Would anyone be willing to help me out and just give me a basic rundown of PvP? Oh yeah, and Nad (and anyone else who needs to know) - it's really strange to be addressed as Klank =) In RS, my name is Klan_Kaos, and on most forums, I'm KlanKaos, so Klan is much preferable =) Aight. Getting on AoC and my new ToS now. Should be pretty good.

The Lost Library RPG ( Entrance "Exam")
Emmett grasped the sword in his fist, then threw it away and saw the engravings on the wall. They reminded him of a spell... one he was particularly proficient in. He grinned as he began casting his fireball, glowing flames wreathing his wrists and extending a full foot to either side. He held it for a few seconds while completing his incantation and then flung his ball of flames at Xarosen, hoping desperately that he had guessed right and praying for it to be on target.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
I gotta say, AoC's combat system is pretty awesome. I mean, WoW's is kinda boring compared to it. Unfortunately I can't play AoC for long enough to make a really good comparison, and I'm never going to play WoW at level 70, so I don't know what it's like up there, but... First impression? AoC's combat is more fun. I think WoW is more polished, however. The GUI especially seems a lot more refined - lots of the interfaces in AoC actually are pretty ugly.

Offical Age of Conan thread
Well, after playing it for a couple hours, I liked it a lot. I think the GUI needs some tweaking, especially in the fonts - it could just look better. However - the combat system KICKS [wagon]. I LOVE it. I mean, there aren't many games where the combat relies as much on skill as on abilities, and this is just so much fun, even playing a level ten assassin. I want to get it for myself =)

Five minutes until it's done installing the patches... Can't wait. I think I'm playing an assassin. =)

The Lost Library RPG ( Entrance "Exam")
Emmett stares around at his companions in the cavern, then down at the arrow protruding from his chest. Examining it further, he reaches down to it and, with a quick, sharp tug, pulls it from his chest, incanting a minor spell to cauterize the wound as the arrow is removed. He stashes the arrow in his small sack slung over his shoulder, and stares around, taking good stock of the situation. He then turns toward the light and walks towards it, trying to find out what's going on.

Smilies are allowed in OOC, just not while playing a character. Anyways, this is gonna be cool. When, where, what are we starting?

Offical Age of Conan thread
A friend of mine just got AoC, and he's letting me try it on his laptop during Science class. I can't WAIT. It's gonna be fun. Any suggestions on realm, etc? I'm playing on Tyranny - always been a PvPer in games - and thinking I'll make some kind of caster. Should be fun.

NEW! - Champion Your Band!
Hmmm... Well, if I'm still into Dream Theater in a few months, when I learn a bit more about them, I might do them. But don't hold me to that.

Bands/Groups/Artists that you really miss...
I'm all in agreement with whoever posted Queen. I'd also really love it if Dire Straits got back together, they're one of my favourite bands of all time. And I know I'm not alone in wanting the Beatles back. I mean, they're just awesome.

New Forum Bugs - July 1st, 2008, 8:10 pm (UTC +10hr)
I'm not sure about this, as I remember hearing about the 'new post' button being removed from the view topic page in the 'Finally new/old forum style' thread, but there's still a 'new topic' button right beside the 'post reply' one in the subsilver2 skin. It's kinda aggravating when you accidentally try to create a new topic instead of replying and the only thing that stops you is the 'Cannot start a new topic without a subject' warning. That could use some fixing.

Comics.
Well, an absolutely HILARIOUS comic nobody's mentioned yet is Looking For Group, an awesomely funny webcomic updated twice weekly with some awesome art. Lots of their jokes revolve around WoW and other MMOs as well, so it should please the crowd here a bit. I also read Misfile (thank you, Off-Topic) daily, after blowing through the first 800 pages in about two days. That's a great comic. Gonna go check out some of the ones mentioned in this thread, they sound pretty cool. =)

Reccomend me a few PC games...
Hehe, for action games, try N. Honestly - it's a flash game, but there are HUNDREDS of hours of enjoyable gameplay in it - although sometimes there's a lot of screaming at your computer too. The link right there is just the online version - here is the full version up for download. And the best thing about it - it's completely freeware, and there's an expansion you can download that gives you an extra 100 episodes (at 5 levels per episode). If you want addictive, fun games, that's your game.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
Ugh, I absolutely HATED Uldaman. I couldn't stand the place. I didn't like the graphics and it was too maze-like and confusing. My favourite instance will always be the Deadmines. I liked Zul-Farrak a lot though. That was a fun instance, along with Scarlet Monastery. SM was better out of the two, actually.
