  1. Runecrafting is by far my favourite. Of course, I'm biased, since it's also my favourite skill to train in the game. But seriously, even with natures at where they are now, it's still fantastic money, upwards of 300K per hour without a giant pouch or double natures. I'm only level 73. It's also not as deathly boring as some skills - at least in the Abyss you get the odd feeling of excitement when you get attacked by a revenant, and it requires some thinking when you get into the Abyss itself. Slayer is definitely the second. When you're on assignment, practically all of your monsters will drop you herbs and/or seeds, many of which will be high level. Also, the higher-level monsters have some really good drops, and if you get a couple of those, you're in the money. Even without any high-level drops, you can still make a fine profit. I mean, even fire giants are okay cash at lower Slayer levels, and you get them as an assignment quite frequently. Third comes high-level combat. God wars dungeon comes specifically to mind, but the Kalphite Queen, King Black Dragon and Chaos Elemental are fantastic if you get lucky as well. You can make millions per hour with good drops, and they're also enjoyable. Where's the downside? There isn't one. Those are my top three.
  2. Random people asking 'Do you want to be my gf?' just tick me off. They're only in it for money, and they're never going to get anywhere. However, this isn't to say that the Internet cannot be a medium for a relationship. I mean, if you browse Off-Topic at all, you know Merci and Suzi. They met over TIF, and they're in a solid relationship now, living with each other at one or the other's home for lengths of time. I think the longest they've been apart since they first met face-to-face is three weeks. They have a healthy relationship, and it started on the Internet. What's wrong with that? Nothing. If you get to know the person first, and then find that you might have feelings for them because of the Internet, set up a webcam conversation, or get their Facebook or something similar. It's not hard to do, and you can verify they are who they say they are (unless they're like me and don't have Facebook, Myspace, a webcam, or anything of the sort, but for the sake of the discussion, we'll realize that I'm the exception, not the rule). Once you've done that, you actually do know them, and a meeting in-person can be arranged any time. Is there any problem with that? Not at all. I feel the same, actually. Not to say that it shouldn't happen, but I already said, I have no way to get to know them or see them over the Internet and so it's impossible for me. But, I suppose, to each their own.

Guthan's would still be worth it at three times the price. Don't sell it, it's the best investment ever, especially if you're keen on slayer. It's fantastic.
  4. Lost City and Tree Gnome Village are only fifteen minutes-half an hour each. They're pretty easy. Grand Tree is at least half an hour, but no more than one. Monkey Madness will likely take you four hours at the max, you could do it in two and a half or three if you really tried.
  5. Argh. Okay, ignore my earlier post. Emmett dashes outside up the ladder, hoping to catch the others before they get too far. As he gets out, he's nearly blinded by the glint of light off of snow, but keeps his wits enough to notice that the others are just ahead. They hear him coming up, and turn towards him. 'Hey, guys,' he says, flashing a grin. 'We got Zerg back where he belongs, and Archimage sent me to help you out. Any info on where Bluejay is? I saw that weird... thing... in the cave there. What was that all about?'
  6. Lol. Anyways, back on topic, who's next? Dragoon, you should flesh yours out a little more. It needs to be enough that four or five of them can fill up a Times article, so get to work!
  7. Hehe. Hawkxs been reading my profile? =P In the winter, I ref minor hockey as a weekend job. I play it too, and so I end up spending solid weekends at the arena =P But that and being a camp counselor are the only jobs I actually have - never even had a part-time job before. I like the flexibility of being a ref - I can turn down any games I want - and being a camp counselor is just amazingly fun, so... I never have times when I can't do anything because I'm working, and I still make a fair amount of money.
  8. Hehe, yeah. I posted mine, and apparently I'm quite masculine when I type - there was half a page of 'omg klan's a girl? '
  9. ?!?! No. Really? Wow. Just goes to show how little you can really tell genders apart when you can't see them...

Lenin, I finally get to see that damn track. It looks really good though. Post us a video of it sometime soon, I wanna see it closeup.
  11. Alright, I'll have to try it out. Thanks guys.
  12. Desert Treasure was loads of fun. With the proper preparation, no fighting in RS is really hard, but this was close. I loved the story and the length of the quest too. It's one of my favourites in the game.
  13. I'd just buy logs and bowstrings. I'm pretty sure you can break even or make small profit doing that. I'll warn you, though, it's hellishly boring. Fletching and alching are two of the most inane things you can do in RS.
  14. They won't let you change your names. It might be technically possible, but the admins would be flooded with name change requests and never get anything done. On TIF, a name is permanent.

Nahh, the first page after the voices in the dark was Ash waking up female. I can't wait for Rumi to confront Vash... this could get tense.
  16. For beginners, no matter what the price, get a Squier, just like everyone else has said. It's a great beginners' guitar.
  17. Yeah, sure. As Hawk heads over to his desk in the corner, KlanKaos slips out from around the next bookcase over. 'Oh, hey, Hawk,' she says, noticing the large sheaf of papers he has in his hands, concealing a small grin at how he's working at trying to keep them together. 'What're you working on there?' 'Oh, not too much,' says Hawk, stopping and reshuffling his papers into a more orderly stack. 'Just a little something for the Times.' 'Hey, sounds great!' she answers. Her inquisitive nature gets the best of her, and she reaches over to Hawk, saying, 'Mind if I take a look?' She doesn't wait for his answer, snatching the top page off of his stack and dashing off down the aisles, laughing at his attempts to run after her without dropping any of his papers. She sits down at the end of the aisle while Hawk picks up those that he dropped and takes a quick look over the introduction to the Times article. Then, noticing Hawk is getting closer, she bounces up and swaps her page for the rest of the bundle, leaving Hawk with nothing but the front page (mostly crossed-out) and an angry look beginning to form. She laughs again as she bounds off into a corner to take a look at what he's written so far. Hawk sighs and continues on towards his desk, knowing there's nothing he can do about it until she brings it back. Okay, how's that? (Yes, FYI, I am a girl in real life. No joke.)
  18. So the article's going to be written from Hawkxs' point of view, and it's just gonna be a little chat with each of the Librarians (for lack of a better word)? That sounds pretty good.
  19. Haha. 'Like' Rush? I'm FAR beyond that, don't worry. 'In love with' Rush comes a little bit closer to the mark. You might notice my avatar is the Starman logo from the 2112 album too, so it's not just my signature. More than half of my three gigabytes of music on my computer is Rush. I know every word to every song. That just scratches the surface of my many and varied random knowledges about Rush. You don't want to get me started - I can go for days. What can I say - I'm a fan. Rush fans are more intense fans than anyone else, I swear to god. Dragoon, Neil Peart doesn't just 'drum'. =P I don't know what he does, but he's a one-man orchestra.
  20. Langzor started towards the ladder, but nobody's gone up yet. I assumed I entered in as they were leaving to go up the ladder, but before they had all actually gotten up it.
  21. So what you're saying, Archimage, is that we should write something like the informal frolic through the library, but with each of us writing our own paragraph? As in, it's all from a single observer's point of view, but we each write the description of what the observer would see as he looks at us? It would end up sounding very much like the informal frolic, just with each of us contributing better. We have to figure out who's going to write the basic introduction as well. Also, we'll have to figure out a length limit, perhaps, because if everyone in the library is writing three paragraphs (as roleplayers are wont to do) then we'll have an article nobody will read. However, if it's just the four or five remaining Ruscoers (damn you, if you are reading this and have not joined Rusco! Get in there, we need you!) then we'll have an easy time of it, as we each can write to our heart's content without worrying about length. Anyways, those are my thoughts. I like Archi's most recent idea. I'm all for it.
  22. I think that the way it works right now is absolutely fine. But our problem is just inactivity. Considering that we're now the only four people who post in Rusco on a regular basis (along with Langzor, who's just taken an extended leave of absence - see my most recent post), we've got some problems. Compared to the ten or eleven we had when the forum first began, it's no surprise that we're having trouble keeping the forum rolling. I think the times article we're working on could bring us some good publicity. Beyond that, I'm just going to say aggressive recruitment could be the answer. I don't know how or where or what we would advertise, but we need more people. I just wish I knew how to go about it. Oh yeah... \ Smileys they are fun. I want to learn how to code Java, but I haven't the foggiest where to start. My computers teacher had some books on it, but I never managed to delve deep enough into them to learn much because I didn't learn about them til the end of the year. I'll ask him about it at the start of the coming year, 'cause it could be really interesting. I've also tried various C++ tutorials, but always needed a compiler and I could never find one. I wish I could program stuff =P As this is also a bit of an off-topic discussion, I'm just gonna throw a question out there at you all. What's your favourite kind of music? Music is a subject very dear to me, and I think it's the most important thing you can know about a person if you know their tastes in it. ;) I listen to progressive rock and metal, hard rock, and classic rock.
  23. That's not much better than what I get in the abyss. In fact, good hours I pull off more than that. Why is this being done so much over the abyss? Is it just the lack of danger?
  24. If the money's in the mail before the window closes, I think you'll be good. However, if all you've done is put seventy bucks in an envelope, then that's not gonna work. It'll have to be postmarked within the window.
  25. Dagannoths. The single most fantastic cannoning place in the world. If you have a full set of Guthan's, all the better - you can pretty much afk, just refilling your cannon every once in a while. There are huge amounts of the things, and they don't hit too hard against Guthan's and anywhere around 70 defence or higher.
