  1. Yeah, I've heard about that one, and I'm in BC =P There have been a bunch of evacuations here too, it's seeming to be a bad season for forest fires... But not as bad as the Kelowna one, lol. That was HUGE. I hope you get out of this okay, it could be pretty bad for you if you end up having to get evacuated...
  2. Leveling a lock is EZmode all the way, I've heard. Have fun =P I hated it, though. It was no fun for me. I liked mages and priests both, because they were fun to fight with and not totally simplistic to level. Lock was like, DoT-DoT-Fear-dead. It bored me.
  3. Most Warlocks go into the Affliction tree (myself included). The idea behind it is you load the enemy up on DoT's (damage over time spells) and stand around keeping yourself alive until it dies. Assuming that you now have your Voidwalker, you should be sending it in to hold the aggro and then doing your thing. Fear is your friend for staying alive while DoTs kill enemies. Just hit them with two or three DoTs, then chain fear until they die. That way you can use an imp too, if you feel like bringing out some ownage DPS XD Well, not really. Pet is your choice. Fear is always good tho. =)

My first was an Elton John concert, although that was my parents taking me. Then I saw Billy Joel in Vancouver, then some friends and I went to Calgary and saw Rush, then a different group of friends and I (with one of the same friends) went to Vancouver to see Rush again. It was AMAZING. I would really love to see that prog concert - that sounds awesome...
  5. Lol, nice. I can't play it in Computers any more... Well, I could, but I beat the online version, don't want to redo it, and can't run DLed apps on school computers, so I have to resort to playing at home. But I'm having fun, even when I scream and rant at my computer in a fury of flying swear words because of stupid levels. Like, some of the REALLY stupidly hard ones that take four or five hours to beat.
  6. I'm a prog-rock/prog-metal person. I'm a huge fan of Dream Theater and Rush, and just starting to get into Yes and Genesis a little bit too. Other than that, I love classic rock/hard rock - Dire Straits, Billy Joel, some Foo Fighters (no, nevermind, lots of Foo Fighters) and various others. Those are my favourites right now. So, progressive metal, progressive rock, hard rock and classic rock. I'll listen to most stuff once, as long as it's not rap or country. Of course... Sturgeon's Law.
  7. Lol N is as much fun as AoC could ever be. =P No, srsly. Someone actually went out and made a Flash game that's GOOD. There's a link to both the online version and the full version in the What You're Playing thread - you should try it, it's a cheaper drug than AoC
  8. I'm playing N recently. That's a link to the online version, first thirty episodes. It's a really, REALLY amazingly made game made in Flash that's easily as addicting and time-consuming as any game I've ever played. Anyone who wants, here's a link to the full version. It's got hundreds of levels to play, and once you finish that, there's another level pack of another 100 episodes (each episode has 5 levels) along with a whole pantload of user made levels. So, basically, it's awesomeness =P
  9. Urgh. It seemed after three months of playing, and after getting only a level 43, that there wasn't much I was enjoying about WoW any more lol. So... I quit, and now play a Flash game as regularly as I ever played WoW  Admittedly, it's a really cool Flash game. But still... I don't think WoW is all it's cracked up to be at all. I still do enjoy playing it once in a while, but I'm playing N more regularly than it now, and N is freeware, so I'm probably going to let my WoW account run out. I'll still be lurking & posting on this thread tho =P Just 'cause I like you guys too much.
  10. I'm with Uno on this one, the text doesn't look fantastic switching colours like that. I like the font, though. And I'd suggest taking the borders right off, or maybe just slimming them down a little. They get in the way of the rest of the picture and draw too much attention. Altogether, I really like it. Nicely minimalistic. Eight point five out of ten from me.
  11. Yeah. I kind of came to that realization. 3 years of my life I will never get back. :wall: That's good. Glad I could help.
  12. I'll be straight with you here - I don't think she's interested in you. The way you've been talking about her actions and reactions, it seems like you're more filling the role of 'advisor' and 'good friend' than the role of 'potential boyfriend' here. And the way it's working, that's the way she's always going to think about you. You've killed much of the chance you ever had to be more than 'just a friend' to her by acting the way you did. I think it's about time to move on and forget about it. I'd say you're pursuing a lost cause here. This reminds me of one of the guys in the movies who's best friends with the girl, and really likes her but can never make her see that he's the perfect guy for her. He finally tells her he likes her, and she goes, 'Oh. Well, you know, we're really good friends, but that's just not what I want from you.' And that's where I see it going.
  13. Likewise. I never thought it but even while gaming I check TIF constantly, especially due to my second monitor and my playing of MMOs :D . At work the lack of TIF forced me to just start reading a bunch of stuff on something awful. Oh well, glad its back. Aye, me too. MMOs do leave too much to the imagination, lol. Even when I'm gaming I checked TIF every... Well, embarrassingly enough, I kept a TIF window open in my Firefox browser and kept refreshing it every five minutes  It was pretty bad, I had nothing to do on the Intrawebz without TIF. Although, I never stooped as low as to read stuff on SA, Nad. That IS bad. ;)
  14. All the smilies look just a little bit [developmentally delayed]ed now :) It comes with being squished into a generally egg-shaped form.
  15. I think that there's a little more to this guy than you seem to be seeing. I mean, if she's stayed with him for this long, she must see SOMETHING in him. I think that she does like him, and she's just overreacting to something small that he did because of that, and you're picking up on it and magnifying it because you like her so much. I doubt that it's half as bad as you make it out to be. She obviously quite likes him, and that tends to make people defensive. When people are in that deep, they'll often overreact to something that's completely a non-issue. That being said, if you really think he's not right for her, then come right out and say it. Like Ginger said, your advice isn't much of advice. You're coming across as a bit of a [bleep] in your responses to her texts, and that's really not helping you if you're looking to win her. I think she actually, honestly, may want your advice, and if you really like her, you'd give it to her instead of taking the attitude you are. Ginger again hit it on the head - you're taking the attitude that you're superior to her boyfriend and that it's her fault for choosing him over you, so she should deal with her own problems. You say you want her to be happy, and yet you don't help her out when she's asking for it? That's a little confusing. Okay, I'm getting kicked out of the lab right now, so I can't continue. But really, there's not too much more to say.
  16. My favourite series is, far and away, the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It's amazing fantasy, and keeps being awesome through twelve books - what more could you want? I loved every minute of it.
  17. This is TOTALLY weird. All those discussions that we lost... Oh well. Although, we DID lose the Falador Library completely lol. Goodbye TIF RP. Oh well. I'm anticipating that once we get everything back together properly, phpBB3 is gonna be a lot better than phpBB2 ever was. I'm just hoping the admins can make the change as smooth and as swift as possible... the longer it takes, the more users we lose. Optimism is the order of the day for now.
  18. I agree. Once the team gets working on putting in all those little niceties that we've all come to know and love, I think this'll be as good or better than the old forums.
  19. I did. I lol'd. At War_Junky. =)
  20. Well, the Falador Library is gone. 0.0 I think it'd be nice to get that board back up. We were just getting rolling, too. =P
  21. Mine was over a week overdue by the time I got it in, so no worries =) You're doing TSO, correct? Can't wait to hear more about them, I don't know enough.
  22. You don't know Meol? Ehh... 2/10, I don't see you 'round super often, but have noticed you once or twice and the name is familiar.
  23. Banned because you live in hell!
  24. I know, rationally, that I'm very happy about the updates. However, Turtlefemm made me realize what an integral part giftgiving is to some players. I realized, also, that one of my favourite things was when my friends would thank me for a birthday, Christmas, or other holiday gift I had given them. I never was, and am not, rich enough to give quite the gifts Turtle did, but I still know the rush you can experience from giving. I would give smallish presents (of course, that depends on who you are - mine were usually around 1M or something, and to some of my friends, that was really worth a lot to them), but as long as it meant something, and I'd worked for it, it was a good feeling I got. Reasonably, I still agree with the updates. And being rid of the autoers is still worth it. But Turtlefemm's letter just made me experience a pang of remorse at the loss of that aspect of the game - however much I hated the other aspects we lost.
  25. The primary law of Internet gaming: Anyone who is a higher level than you is a no-lifer. Anyone who is a lower level than you is a n00b. Unfortunately, you'll always be called a noob by someone. People are simply impolite over the Internet because they can get away with it, pure and simple. People who would never say something cruel in real life let their inner bully come out where nobody can hurt them, because sometimes people feel a deep-seated, human need to hurt somebody else, and the only way they can do that is by hurting their feelings over the internet. Often, it's best just to let them run down, even replying to their comments kindly, or (as I'm often likely to do) in an intelligent, sarcastic, scathing manner that nobody with an IQ under 120 understands, so that you and your intelligent friends can have a good laugh without the annoying person knowing what you're saying and having their feelings hurt in return. It makes the world a better place when you can let yourself injure other people without them knowing it, so you, your smart friends, and the annoying little idiot all get to let out your inner vindictiveness without anyone actually having their feelings hurt. Trust me. It's a lot of fun.
