  1. I think you may just be a psychic. These are two things that actually really make me angry. I thought, honest to god, that I was the only person in the universe that realized what " I could care less " actually meant. I'm certainly the only person I know that's ever said "I couldn't care less". I Nom =)
  2. Yeah. EDIT: Is it really that rare for girls to use these forums that you have to make sure it's not a gay guy? We also are (overall) a very accepting community when it comes to Homosexuals, so either we ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Get a higher-than-average amount of homosexuals/bisexuals ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâ÷ Have homosexuals/bisexuals between our community that aren't afraid of being open about. See the guy above you for an example. : Okay, that's a point made fair. Honestly, I myself am bisexual, so I guess it shouldn't have come as such a... shock, I guess, although that really isn't the right word for it, that Bloodred would ask that. That's one of the reasons I like TIF so much.
  3. I was under the impression that Lightning was number two, and someone called Raj was first?
  4. You're a very literal person. :D Ehh... People who judge by the surface. So, I guess I'd say the same people who Wizzkid doesn't like. A little less serious are people on my team who don't try their hardest at hockey. They really make me angry.
  5. Yeah. EDIT: Is it really that rare for girls to use these forums that you have to make sure it's not a gay guy?
  6. I posted earlier on this thread that I hadn't had mine yet... I did. :D It was with the guy who's been my boyfriend for a couple of months now. We were walking along the river, having a pretty intense conversation, and it just... happened... I honestly don't remember too much, but it was wonderful.
  7. So then why are you talking as if you do? I'm sorry, but saying, as you did, that the children were not traumatized is assuming that you know what was going on just as much as assuming they were traumatized. This statement is simply the pure embodiment of hypocrisy... How, exactly, do you know she wasn't blowing it out of proportion? If you're going to attack someone for stating something as if they were there, please don't state things as if you were there.
  8. Slayer -0- (33m) -0- (40m) 0 (13m) 40m-33m=7m.
  9. He is not Mod Mark.. Of course... I think he likely would've noticed the fact that Jagex staff get their own custom avatar, and put it in his avatar? Also, it doesn't sound, for the first half of the article, as if he's talking from Jagex's point of view. I'd think that, while this is a very well-written piece of work, a Jagex staff member would probably sound slightly more professional, and admittedly, aloof from the players, than he sounds. Sorry, but I don't believe you're a mod. I'm sure that if you're actually a JMod, you come across skeptics like me all the time... Feel free to ignore me if you will.
  10. I'm sure everyone would be happy if there is a bank organisation update or just some bank space. Mmm... While you may have a point, the simple problem of f2p versus p2p would make it into a bad update for some. P2P'ers would be unhappy if F2P got something, anything, so that's not a good update for everyone, and that means that by what I said earlier, it's not a good update. Like I said, it's only good if everyone thinks it's good. Of course, if it was P2P only, the F2Pers wouldn't be happy because they didn't get it. (Duh. ) So basically any update can be stripped to those essentials, which makes it impossible to have a good update.
  11. Where did dark bows enter into this discussion? Admittedly, they could be considered a part due to the fact that they're an update, but that was a little random. And the point remains that MOST autoers have been decimated. Even if not, who's going to buy a level-3 character with insane amounts of money? Is it any fun to have loads of money you can't do anything with? And even that's a temporary measure, and is now impossible, because there's no way to trade money to the account now. It's not impossible to sell gold any more. The point of the updates really wasn't to do that. All Jagex have done are make the business so slow and time-consuming, due to the fact that now methods of RWT'ing have to be so convoluted and twisted to get past the security measures recently implemented, that it's simply unprofitably and agonizingly slow to transfer gold between accounts. And as I stated before - nobody wants to give up their hard-earned account for an account that has nothing but its gold on it. Overall? Jagex didn't screw up. Of course, it's always a matter of opinion. Anyways, on to the real topic of the article. Truth is, there's no such thing as a good update, which was really where the author was pointing. At least, that's the sense I got from it. It's technically impossible to make an update that's considered good by everyone, because there will always be certain people in any crowd that are polar opposites of each other. And the larger the crowd, the higher the likelihood. Even if, however, you refuse to believe the face that this is true, you'll still be unable to refute the fact that you will be able to find some combination of people that have no completely common interests whatsoever. For instance, Person A likes skilling and questing. Person B likes questing and combat. Person C likes combat and skilling. Therefore, if these are the three possible updates, it's impossible to have a good update. And while I'll be the first to admit that this is a seriously dumbed-down version of what we have with Runescape, I feel completely confident in saying that it is utterly impossible to find a common thread of interest in a crowd as large as the gaming population a game as large as Runescape services. Therefore, it is technically impossible to create a good update. However, by the same logic, it is technically impossible to create a bad update. If you update questing, hey? Guess what? Persons A and B are happy. Skilling? A and C are in their element! And should you update combat, those bloodthirsty B and C are quite happy with their newfound ability for slaughter. And I'll say again - this is dumbed down! But it's impossible to find a common thread of hatred in a population as large as the gaming community we have in this game. In fact, even among TIF'ers, it would be impossible. Hell, you could probably go to the Varrock Library, search through its regulars (of which there certainly aren't many!) and never be able to find either a common thread of interest or hatred, although it has a higher likelihood of occurring there, since in a themed forum it would stand to reason that the regulars all have similar interests in one area, at least. However, the point still stands that in a community as large and as diverse as the Runescape players' community, it's dead impossible. So, bad? No way, I'll find you somebody who likes it! Good? Yeah right! I'll get you someone who hates it with all their heart. Very well written, Armadyllo, it's been a good while since anyone could provoke me into this length of post, and it's certainly never happened in General. Thank you!
  12. While true, Micrsoft is taking the cheap option while also not admiting they did anything wrong :) Which is the bane of anyone's existence who uses anything made by a large company :XD:. They never admit they're in the wrong, but they'll give you something nice and trivial in return for shutting up, even if they are in the wrong. However, when they're not in the wrong, the idiots force them into giving you something nice and trivial anyways, which is a huge blow to people who give out millions of nice, trivial things. They just need to learn to stand up for themselves, while admitting they can be wrong, just like us mere mortals can.
  13. That's exactly what I'm thinking. However will they put it in right when the skill is released or wait a few months before everything has settled down a bit. It occurred to me how awkward it would be if the first person to get to 99 summoning used Pest Control. EDIT: Slayer is not a direct combat stat. It does not affect your combat level so I don't treat it as one. I think they'll wait a few months, at least two, but it's almost definitely going to be put in - after all, as lemeja said, why not? It is a combat skill, and PC is made to train combat, so why ever would they not? However, I think it's going to be the same exp rate as Prayer, because TB@JT have stated that they want the skill to be like Prayer to train, so it stands to reason that the rate would be the same across the board, rather than higher in PC.

I almost always try to read everything, unless it's blatantly obvious that the remainder isn't going to contribute to the topic at all. For some topics that don't really suck me in, I'll read the first post and post my thoughts on that, but I'll always read the topic review below the reply window before replying in case there's something important in there that everyone's talking about that I missed.
  15. Hmm... I like some of their new stuff quite a bit. The older songs are too violent, as you put it, for me. I'm not so much a fan of that style of music, but these guys do it well. I like Easy Money a lot, especially. I agree they've gotten far lighter, and it makes them a lot more appealing to me. Abattoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus is my favourite album, and I'll wait for their next album impatiently, to be sure. Still have to go to the site and check out 'Dig, Lazerus, Dig!', hopefully it's more of the same. Thanks. XD Well written article, to be sure. I like how you suggested certain albums to start with, and a progression for beginning listeners =P.
  16. Okay, is it possible to get the pineapples without reverting to human form? Because if not, I'll need to bring anitpoison, right? Second opinion please? This one sounds okay, but I'd just like to confirm.
  17. I have 51 agility, so likely I'll fail the obstacles relatively often. My question to you is: What items should I take in my inventory?
  18. Awesome. Tom Sawyer is an amazing song... The Spirit of Radio compilation is really a great album, having all of my favourites from that time period on it.
  19. As most everyone's said, Dane Cook. And, like Nadril, I'm a fan of Jeff Dunham. Is a ventriloquist technically standup, though? Ah well, he's amazing anyways.
  20. The problem with that is that people would then use it to trade gold in wildly unbalanced amounts, such as selling a partyhat for one GP and then transferring real-world money. Basically, any relaxation of the economy control by Jagex will allow RWT'ing to [bleep]e again, in which case they will be forced to drop it again. Therefore, Jagex will never open up any part of the economy like this.
  21. It does seem very empty... More background stuff would be good. Perhaps a few more amps, or a lighting system, would be good in there. You're not looking to capture the image you're using as a reference perfectly, you're looking to make a good-looking sig using ideas from the image. Also, the colours on the drummer, drum kit and keyboard look quite unrealistic to me. I'm sorry I can't offer any help with them, but I'm not so good in that area. And it also may be just me that thinks this. Overall, it's very good so far, I think it should still be considered a WIP though. There's definitely more that can be done to it to make it better, more interesting, and more captivating.
  22. Well, the day after the updates, I noticed a 40% drop in the usual amount of players around at the time I'm usually on. However, as Furry says, by the time a week had gone by, it had hit well over 80% of its previous amount. I really have never thought this was going to hurt the game in any serious way. I still give major kudos to TB@JT for this update, losing 10% of their population is nowhere near as serious a problem as RWT'ing. Well written by Furry.
  23. Yeah... Let's just try building a propeller-based craft like this and see the efficiency it gets, using this simplistic of materials. Probably not very high
  24. I really like it. The swirly background is a little funny, but other than that, it's great work.
  25. Wait a sec... Isn't Guthan's 7.5m to Torag's 1.2? Even so, Guthan's is worth it, it's been my best investment since I started playing. I love it.
