Pure Essence! Did it really work?
I don't believe the Pure Essence update helped at all, because the macroers were making money from the essence, and could afford to pay for membership if it meant triple the profits. Also, the main problem with macroing is not membership - it's level. There was a discussion about this somewhere else, I can't remember where. The main point of the discussion was that Jagex should make a level (either combat or total) requirement to enter the essence mines. There were also a number of other suggestions. These included: Idea: Agressive level 25 monsters filling the mines. This strategy would prevent under level 51 from using the mines effectively, as they would be killed by the monsters. Even were they not, they would still not be able to mine effectively, as the monsters would interrupt their mining so often that it wouldn't be any good to mine essence below level 51. Pros of this idea: -Prevent level 3 macroers from entering mine Other than this, ths idea doesn't really do much. Cons of this idea: -Macroers would not be stopped by this. They would program themselves to gan 48 combat levels before entering the mines, and not lose very mch time. -Macroers would not be so easily killed by randoms and people luring them to muggers, due to the high combat level. -This would make essence an even more valuable commodity. The price would rise according to the new difficulty of obtaining essence. Overall rating for this idea: Low. Idea: Create a total level requirement to enter the mines. This idea has slightly more merit than the monsters idea, although that would of course depend on the height of the level requirement. Pros of this idea: -Prevents macroers from entering the mine without at least a little work. This idea also, however, doesn't really have any merit. The macroers would still be able to enter the mine. Cons of this idea: -Macroers would still be able to obtain essence. This wouldn't stall them for long. -This would also have the effect of driving up essence prices. Idea: Have a random verification code every time you enter the mine. This would produce a small two-dgit number mch akin to the bank PIN system. The number would be displayed prominently, but it would stop macroers. There would have to be a 3-try system, after which you must wait ten minutes before another attempt. Pros of this idea: -Would truly prevent macroers from entering the essence mine. -Would have the value of driving up essence costs, but in this case it is a pro instead of a con because the macroers can no longer wholesale it, so it improves the value to true players. Cons of this idea: -If macroers could get through it, it would have a very inflationary effect on essence prices, and macroers would make more than ever, I think this third solution is the best of the three offered, becase it can actually stop macroers. Anyways, those are my views on a fiew possible solutions to the essence-macroers problem and the pure essence update.

Favorite Guitar intro?
I'd have to go with one of two Rush songs - Secret Touch and The Spirit of Radio. Also, don't know if you could technically call it an "intro", but Hope by Alex Lifeson (lead guitarist of Rush) is AMAZING. 2:04 of pure friggin' musical genius on a twelve-string.

The RUSH trivia thread!
Sorry, my above answer was wrong. It's actually Alex and then his last name is something Jewish that means "Son of Life". So he uses Alex Lifeson.

Mr. Mordaut random event reward item
It is untradeable and gives you (15x the level of the skill you put it in) experience.

Random event: Classroom test
The questions are on recognizing a pattern and figuring out which 3 of 15 items matches a clue you are given. I'll take pictures next time I get the event.

Help Wanted - Item Pictures
lonew0lf, I checked through all of yours from Q onwards (in post order, not alphabetical), and I could only find a couple that had size problems (they're 42x42 instead of 40x40). They're the Hag's Poison, Holy Symbol 1 and Holy Wrench. [pokemama edit: fixed those, thanks for flagging 'em!]

Community really that bad?
Hehe... That's all too true, Makoto. If we find a nice group of people (somewhat like TIF, only perhaps a little teensy bit smaller), the community will be percieved by us as good. However, to those still out in the "Mount Everest of Immaturity", the community is going to be percieved as bad. I'm not sure it's possible to even consider that mountain as part of the community, as they partake in no group events or any such. And a word on riots.... Anyone who saw any of the riots over the rollbacks must have noticed that at least 90% of the people there had no idea why or were trying to get back "partyhats" or "halloween masks" that they lost. However, none seemed to realize that it is technically impossible to lose anything to the rollbacks unless you got it as a monster drop in the past fifteen minutes (or whenever it was rolled back to), because anything you traded for will be back, but you'll still have the money. And I highly doubt anyone managed to get a santa, halloween mask or partyhat in the past 15 minutes from a monster drop/random event.

[Your most recent concerts]
I'm going to see them tomorrow in Calgary at the Saddledome. I'm sooooo excited... I'm a HUGE RUSH fan. I also saw Sunday of the Nakusp MusicFest, which is ranked in the top five music festivals in Canada. It was AWESOME. There was Skavenjah, Glass Tiger and Tom Cochrane & Red Rider. It was a great time.

Community really that bad?
Teenage boys = violent, immature people. I realize this is stereotypical (not all teenage boys are like that), but it's by and large true. Especially, as Ginger said, when they're online and nobody can hold them accountable. Then they start to get violent and this is only accented by playing games such as Halo, where the point is to destroy things and people. It's a game where mindless slaughter is promoted, and the point of the game very much reflects into the actions of the users. As has been said, the place where this takes place most in RS is in the wilderness and the duel arena, where people fight each other. This brings in another aspect that can create annoying people - losing their stuff. Any online game where people can die against other people will have this type of behaviour, as people will be angry about losing their stuff and they know exactly who did it. If you lose fifty bucks out of your wallet on a street corner, you don't know who did it, and so your anger simply explodes generally. But when there's someone to rant at, your anger becomes quite concentrated, and so you become whiny and/or violent.

///Brand New Biscity Blog///Road To CoolNess (H)///
Nice banner! :D For your first 99, Fletching and Cooking are easy. But nobody will love you if you get them - you'll be one of many. But a cool one would be Thieving - although the emote stinks, it's an awesome 99 to have, and very well respected. Post on my blog please?

need help on clue
I believe that it's right east of the southeast corner of the mysterious statue that's there. This one takes a while as the clue did not get updated when the Tower of Life quest changed the map area the clue covers.

Please say there is a faster way to farming??
I plant every fruit and tree seed I can manage (when I actually farm). I got 44 in two days doing this. Allotments can be done every hour during the 14.5 you do trees in, which provides some okay experience.

Cash Storage
No, if you store it there, it drains at a rate of 10% a day no matter what your approval is. And the max you can store is 7.5m. The only difference approval makes is how much of it actually goes into produce and how much is "wasted".

Your Dream Band
My perfect band is already a band - Rush. I think they're very well-respected, and that's proven by the fact that at least half of the posts on this thread had a Rush member in them (mostly Neil Peart ). And, in the Greatest Bassist Ever thread, near half of those had Geddy Lee in there somewhere. I realize there's a lot of 's in that post. But Rush are simply amazing.
