train cooking with wines. About the only thing that hasn't been suggested yet.
  2. You won't lose your items. And is that you in your profile pic? I thought you said you were a girl and your name was Nikita. I'm pretty sure you posted a load of pictures of a girl that you said were you.
  3. Are you soloing/always the leader? Maybe someone else has put it on. Please don't open the hide tags. [hide]You don't get "-4% less experience". You either get "4% less experience" or "-4% experience". -4% less experience is a double negative and therefore would be a good thing.[/hide]
  4. Don't bother cannoning them, there are only 2 spawns and they die in pretty much 3 hits anyway. A handy trick if you've done ardy diary (i think 2) is to bring along the cloak, and use the tele to monastary to recharge prayer, run north west and use the handy spirit tree to tele back to the torts.
  5. Awful idea. Stand in the middle, you're more likely to be closer to him when he spawns, giving you time to reach him and make the relative pray changes after his 1st attack hits you. pray whatever has the lowest def from your equipment, make sure you brew to over 9000 (actually you have to be at 1k to definately tank his 1st hit). Remember, you can do the whole waves on your home computer, log out at the 2 360's and then go to another comp to fight jad. Good luck
  6. @arbiterspar; in the last 2 pages, you've made 9 posts which have consisted of 3 double posts and 1 triple post. Please remember that there is an edit button for a reason. Having to change pages more frequently leads to greater loading times and more backwards and forwards to follow conversations. @assiwat; Thanks for reminding people that it's not ALL about the most xp/hr and that in some cases relaxed > click intensive. Also gratz
  7. Were you wearing a salve ammy?
  8. For me, I know that I have to wait for about a minute on that screen, alternating between the Up and Down arrows before I get a reasonable idea of ping.
  9. My advice to you (which is the same as the advice I give to everyone coming back from a break) is Quest. Quest, quest, quest, quest, quest. Do every quest you can, then train for the next ones. Your total levels will fly up, you'll unlock a lot of valuable content and your knowledge about the game will increase. Once you've quested enough, train slayer.
  10. This includes non-combat spells? EDIT: @Xecer (i haven't done the quest but I'm going on past experience) try talking to EVERYONE who you even saw during the quest. That's how extra rewards are usually given out.
  11. That's 3 zeros too much. ;) 1 thousand = 3 Zeros 1 million = 6 Zeros 1 billion = 9 Zeros 2480B = 2480 then 9 zeros = 2480 000 000 000 Which is what I said. *insert wink emoticon here*.
  12. You're nuts, right? 2480B = 2,480,000,000,000 (thanks for all the info though, it's no wonder a couple of mistakes slip through the cracks)
  13. [hide] wat? no fire cape....??? get 1..... maxed melee & no f cape thats wrong :s I have a really bad internet connection lately. So for the time being, I don't see a firecape anywhere in my near future, however I plan on slaying towards 99. That's why I was asking if it would be worth the 2k points. Is the extra damage from the fc that significant that it's needed? dont say i cant without trying just keep trying & dont say anything about bad connection because a ik i got more worest connection ever (512kb/sec) dont worry & just try Players seem to overlook the fact that at such a high level you can spec Jad out. Unfortunately you don't have 94 Magic or Turmoil, but you do have Overloads, so it's still possible, especially on task. Use Dragon Claws, protect from magic, and use Vengeance before you attack. I think that's really all there is to it. If someone could show me a good inventory to use for my levels (I have BCP, Tassets, fury, FSH, Rapier, Overloads, and piety) I could probably do it on a task. I just need to borrow some claws from someone. The only problem I have is whenever I get to the lvl 360s that mage and melee. I use protect from mage with auto-retaliate turned off and try to step in and hit then step out of melee range, but I always end up lagging and I go in and can't get back away from the 360s before they melee me, last 2 attempts I died on the waves with 360s. (I got to a few waves before jad once, then was killin a 360, clicked to attack it, right as I tried to click away, I DC'ed). Maybe I can get lucky this time though if I have a good set up for it. Could someone show me an inventory maybe? [/hide] Sidestepping is for people who know what they're doing and are confident in the caves. From the sounds of things, you're not there yet. Lrn2range.
  14. I don't think any of the examples posted so far are a fair comparison. I've spent ages thinking about it, and the closest couple I can think of is if Jagex suddenly decided that resetting monster agro was worthy of a ban. We KNOW that Jagex want monsters to become unaggressive if we stay somewhere too long the same way that we KNOW that Jagex wants to have an appropriate number of monsters in a dungeon. We also know a method of getting round monster agro, the same way that we know a way of getting around the monster limit. I really don't think it's fair to not give out warnings for this before bans as it was such a commonly accepted technique. I never did it (as demonstracted by my fail dung level) but I will openly say that I would have if I had the chance. No-one ranted about how it was unfair the same way that they did over other ban worthy offensives (drop potential and bonus penguin points are too of the more recent occasions that spring to mind).
  15. Personally I would range Jad as switching between 2 protection prayers is easier than switching between 3. Just my opinion, I know it's slower, but IMO it's easier. Basically as soon as you kill the last 360 put on range protection. That's because the range attack makes a sound AFTER it hits you. The mage attack makes the retribution noise (sort of like a "whoosh") as he is casting it, so swap to mage as soon as you hear it. If you still can't see Jad at this stage (which is unlikely as you should have your Xbow and autoretaliate on) remember to switch back to range after the mage attack has hit you for the reasons stated above. Personally, I like to be in viewing range of Jad. It helps me with my prayer changes. When he jumps up, it's range, when he bends down, it's mage. Watch the vids on Youtube. Gl.
  16. They confirmed ages ago that that idea was dropped because they don't want to encourage grinding in F2P OT: Is Stellar still a priority for Jagex? How far along the production line is it (as a percentage)? Does it have an estimated finish date? if so when?
  17. You seem to be a little confused as to how things work on runescape... Up until the Highest of levels (90+) it is EXTREMELY rare that you will make more money using combat than you will from other methods. Green drags is the current exception and I don't even count that as sunning around while your cannon hits a lot of things isn't even combat as far as I'm concerned. You can pick Fungi for a solid 800k an hour (with a BOB) which is going to be more money than you'll make through combat until you can effectively Monster Hunt the Bosses. Rangers don't "go avainsies [sic] for money". They can train range there and make a decent profit but they'll get more money and get more experience doing the two things seperately in the most efficient ways. Tbh, mellee>range in about 89% of all situations on RS. But personally I prefer range because I find it more fun which ultimately is the most important thing.
  18. You're all forgetting cooking. F2P has access to the fastest cooking in the game so you might as well do that. (making wines btw)
  19. Archer ring>Explorer ring Ranger>snakeskin>dragon boots and a holy wrench would probably be worth it with the amount of pots you're bringing, more points per sip means less time sipping and more time fighting which means you're less likely to screw up.
  20. either the GE w2, or get a friend/alt account to post on RSOF for you You can also look for a seller from RSOF and pm them in game
  21. RSOF and W2, but mainly the RSOF
  22. It's possible to get lamps from the varrock museum by clearing out stuff from the dig-site area. Although (iirc) these give 500 xp each. Aside from that, do some of the people in lumbridge give you lamps for helping them? As for randoms, I always seem to get them on farm runs.
  23. Have you tried alching it? I know ways of getting multiple godbooks, but to get an extra one with one that's only half full... sorry, can't help.
  24. Accumulator does work, the author of that guide is wrong. He probably safespotted round a corner a couple of times and it didn't work (the same way that it doesn't work in the rest of runescape) and then decided "AMG it doesn't Work!!!" Use an accumulator, don't go into the fight caves thinking "I need to save ppoints/cash" go in thinking "I want to give myself the best possible chance of winning". And that's with a higher range bonus. Hell, at 80 def, I did it with an accumulator and a zammy book. Best of both worlds.
  25. If you really are maxed everything else, and you want the fastest experience, think about effigy hunting. You'll never need to get an assist, and you can drop all the rewards into farming while you wait for the trees to grow (frosts and TDs are great droppers and great gp too!)
