  1. Right, but you don't have to quit playing to have real memories... if that's the case then something's out of balance. The middle way my friend. Anyway, that's why a lot of people don't complete all of their goals. Because they are too big and the summer air is calling :D
  2. Hehehe good to know  ;) Well, I haven't said anything yet so... I've had the goal of getting 95 in attack, strength and defense all at the same time by training controlled the whole way there. But I have the same amount of time to play really, which isn't that much, and even when I tried working on it I got booored. I'm not into the grind, really. But it's still something for me to work on over the fall and winter.
  3. hehe, I know what you mean. This is the time of year where most skillers are grinding away intently to finish before summer's end. We should all make the best of it
  4. With summer steadily winding down, it's just about time we look back and reflect upon what many of us unknowingly take for granted (up until the very end when we realize how fast it's gone by). For many players, the summer does give them more time to play, and for many more it gives them less. So which are you? What did you accomplish this summer/what goals did you have and fail to complete? And how about all of this summer's game updates? I personally haven't partaken in any of the newest quests thus far from June to now, and I haven't taken a look at the runecrafting guild yet. Nevertheless, I think these were good additions this summer. Discuss. How was summer '08 for Runescape?
  5. A dream come true! ... Not that I cared much for wild pking, but this is something I'd definitely partake in. The only potential issue would be clans controlling cities and whatnot. But hey, that adds some strategy I guess, and it sounds like the point of these other new mini-games. Mobilizing your own army and fighting for territory... now that's what I'm talkin' about.
  6. I wouldn't mind it so much if she appeared less
  7. 91 normally, but I'll be frequenting the new Mexico server, as to chat with some other Spanish speakers.
  8. Yes... it is. In my opinion if you are educated, buy no means is it 'ok' to speak improper English. Just because you speak or type with bad grammar that doesn't mean your opinions are wrong, but, if you want to seem intelligent, then you had better speak with some structure. Grammar just makes sense to... I mean, does "when you wasn't" or "is you done?" sounds right? Nope.
  9. 9/10, pretty good! BUT I know it from its spanish form as a verb, yuxtaponer; to juxtapose. Pretty much means to pair two things for the purpose of contrast. EDIT: lol, I actually forgot to put a word; Shnuffling Yes, I mean shnuffling, not shuffling. Not complicated, just a bit unheard of I think.
  10. answer: Because somebody forgot to go to swimming practice! question: From where is our mental perception born?
  11. Well, your sigs change every time I refresh the page... but I'd say an average of 8/10 for how well done they are.
  12. 8/10 I don't know what it's about, but I like the graphics
  13. Great ones. Id say up there with my favorites from the Tip.it Times. No doubt that we have had some of the greatest updates in 2008, and the year isn't close to over yet. Im not stubborn enough to say I haven't been healed of my injuries from December. (which were never even that deep) So... what do I want? -To wrap up the temple knight story line (next armor = rune \ ) -To see the east open up. (maybe having to do with kudos island) -Customizable armor
  14. Agreed 100% I just see it as complete closed mindedness. I could definitely name names, too. I think even if something is brought up on a long thread that has already been covered there briefly, people need to still respond with real answers, not flames. Who cares about repeating yourself... that's the magic of 'ctrl+c , ctrl+v' Everybody's posts deserve the respect of consideration, because respectability is unconditional and unreserved.
  15. Well, parts of the 8 fold path, such as right action and livelihood (if you deeply understand them) do imply this, such as right livelihood stating that you should earn a living that does not breach good conduct. For example not dealing in the slaughtering of animals. BUT, the way I see it, even though you possibly endorse the violent mass-slaughtering of animals by eating certain meats, you are not directly harming the animal. Also, the first of the precepts (vows) is not to kill. We're told not to do something just out of reverence for somebody or something; do it because it works for you. So, I'm not going to stop eating meat for the reasons implied in my buddhist texts, because I sttiiill don't see it as interfering with my practice... besides, in my prayer book there is a mantra for blessing meat before eating it.
  16. It depends. The "better" a person performs in his or her lifetime the higher they will go up. And likewise when going down. And there are six realms: Human Animal Asura (immortals) "Angels" or Divinity (not Asura) Demons Hungry Ghosts, I like to call them Ghasts like from Mort Myre in Rs  You're pretty close there. What we Buddhists call Samsara (basically referring to the world and meaning an ocean of suffering) is comprised of those, being differed kinds of suffering; each with it's own nature. Commonly they're known as (from least most amount of suffering to greatest) the hell realms hungry ghost realms animal realm demi-god realm god realm human realm (the most important because here we can practice the dharma, which is the buddhist teachings) So... the chances that a relative was born into my steak, with all of the possible realms, and all of the possible cows to be born into, and of all animals to be born into, are very slim. SO, spiritually speaking meat eating is not an issue for me, because of that and again, meat is not an attachment and therefore not an obscuring the nature of my mind (buddha nature; nirvana).
  17. On a similar note with Buddhist beliefs, I don't think thats a risk that needs to be worried about. I don't know much on Hinduism, but in Buddhism there are several realms of existence to be reincarnated in. These include human realm, animal realm, hungry ghost ream, etc. So, there's the small chance that a relative of mine or somebody I knew was born into the life of the cow that provided for my beef tips, out of every cow in the world, and then there's the question if they were even born into the animal realm. It's more likely to me that they were born into another human body.
  18. Well, I do eat meat with every full meal. Except breakfast, unless it's like full English :) When you say you eat the other things, that must mean you eat more of it, no? Because in the normal quantities that would accompany meat, that certainly wouldn't be enough. Now, Im not knowledgeable about the ways of vegetarians, so I'm sort of questioning. No answer needed though.
  19. Do you think a hungry grizzly bear would think twice about eating you in the wild? It wouldn't... Im not using that as an excuse. To be frank, we don't need an excuse. There is nothing wrong with eating meat in general because we were meant to eat meat. Human's earliest forms, such as homo habilis, ate meat, and the members of other genus's that humans evolved from did too. So meat, in general, is morally fine to eat. It's how things have always been. BUT when you get into slaughter houses, cages and steroids, that's where I take up issue, because of the significant advantage we have over other animals now. That's why I prefer hunting, and even though today we have huge advantages there, It's still more moral than mass-produced chicken and beef, not to mention more healthy.
  20. Well, I wouldn't worry about the dream content having any kind of deeper psychological meaning, because it was just your mind creating a fake image of what you were really doing; fighting your bedroom. When you feel something that's really happening to you, your dreaming mind will kinda' make something up to go along with it. What you should worry about is why you were actually up and swinging in your sleep. Perhaps some deeply-seeded inner conflict or anger, or stress that's making you aggressive? Keep talking to your neighbor about it.
  21. Well honestly, meat is delicious... BUT that's not why I eat it.. Listen, I don't generally share this, but I'm a lay (not an ordained monk) Ma[racist term]a Buddhist and I eat meat every day. This is because I know how essential it is to good nutrition, and because I was born a meat-eater, not a buddhist. You may think that vegetarians are being extremely healthy with their bouts amongst the vegetables (and they are), but more important parts of their health do suffer. Why? The lack of protein of course! A stalk of asparagus and a leaf of lettuce isn't going to give you the protein you need. Without that, and especially if you're an avid athlete, you'll find yourself not building muscle, your bones will become weaker, and you'll probably become tired a lot quicker! Vegetarians do have their supplements for protein like protein shakes and power bars... but those are unnatural, and don't give you enough of what you need.
  22. Ok, the fact of the matter is that all of the things we're bashing for just being show-off items, do in fact serve another purpose. Sure, a rune platebody and a gilded platebody have the same stats, but if you do actually want one opposed to the other, and you have the money, then there is nothing wrong with that. It may generally be for looks, but it has another purpose as well, what with having the same stats as regular rune. I'm not really going to agree with buying an item just for the sole purpose of showing off. Again, if it has combat-worthy stats, then it's intended purpose, first and foremost, is getting beat up in it.
  23. I personally think that although there are some great weapons available for every level-group, Jagex still needs to mix it up a bit. There just isn't enough variety and uniqueness for my taste, as you're pretty much limited to a few specific weapons depending on your level. Instead of seeing an ultimate weapon added, which would probably just become more common and less ultimate in time, I'd like to see more weapons added for each level group; and I don't mean weapons that cover the whole bronze-dragon category, I mean truly unique ones with their own names.
