Stick Shifts
Eh, it's not that hard to learn but it does take a little practice; you just stall the engine a few times. I remember pulling out into an intersection and I suppose that I didn't give it enough gas, so it stalled out. I sat there for about five minutes just bawling my eyes out because people were flipping me off and yelling at me.

Stick Shifts
It used to be that automobiles equipped with a standard transmission were cheaper than their counterparts with an automatic. Now it is almost as if you cannot find them anywhere, and if you do, they are often more expensive! Why have we, as a society (or at least in the U.S. -- I really cannot speak for the rest of the world here), moved away from standard transmissions? Is it that it is cheaper to design a vehicle with an automatic? Or just because automatics are 'easier' to drive? What do you prefer? I am more partial towards a stick shift, as it allows the driver to get more power when it is needed. I just thought that I would ask everyone else their opinions. |^_^|

The pictures thread..
I disagree because, as said before, the 'unspam' pictures are often worse than simple text. It is especially annoying when users post meaningless pictures (in-game) while having something typed in the chatbox. I'm sure many of you have seen them, "Hi I am _____ and this is my pony/Godsword/Bunyip/etc."

Winning at Castle Wars
I do, but most of the time the other team has like 5-6 or more mes. They must organize themselves somehow.., On smaller worlds (W15, etc), Armas ('professional' players, usually wearing Armadyl, hence the name) don't organize themselves. At the last minute they will jump into the Guthix portal. It's either that or they have a clan chat.

Weird RS slowdown problem
Sleeping doesn't clear up RAM and it doesn't cool the system down if you wake it up right afterwards. Qeltar, open up the Task Manager and take a screenshot directly after loading Runescape. When is begins to slow down, reopen the Task Manager and compare with the earlier screenshot. You don't have to post them here, but inform us of any drastic changes, especially with Java and the browser.

external hard drives
He is formatting the disk into two partitions, one that is HFS+ and one that is FAT, not NTFS. would i still be able to use time machine with the HFS+ partition and FAT with windows and mac? and another question which does the ps3 use? btw thx for all the help! Perhaps someone else could explain it better than me, but I'll give it a shot. The FAT32 (MS-DOS, in this case) format limits any specific file size to about 4GB which is why you want NTFS. FAT32 is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and various other operating systems. So yes, you would be able to use the HFS+ partition for Time Machine and then the FAT format for both Mac and Windows. However, remember that the FAT32 format will not allow any file sizes larger than 4GB, so don't bother putting video/larger media on it. I don't know anything about the PS3 other than it can play Blu-Ray discs, so I'm not much help on that one. :P

Can you link the video? In Disk Utility I am not getting the option to partition as NTFS. Yes, that is how I would go about it.

That would be the only way because Time Machine will not allow you to write to the backup drive without corrupting the data. It takes a bit more work because OS X will not format the drive into NTFS and Windows will not format the drive into HFS+ (OS Extended Journal). Use both of these articles for assistance. http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20030613121738812 http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20080411155517808&query=NTFS+and+FAT32

No, Time Machine requires HFS+ formatting.

You really shouldn't get caught up in that. You can format the drive to work on OS X.

laptop for rs
The processors in laptops these days should be the least of your worries (for Runescape, at least). For a better Runescape performance a dedicated GPU is what you are looking for.

Battery lasts no length
It depends on what sort of battery you have. For Li-ion, batteries should charged and discharged often for maximum retention. The general advice I have for others is not to worry about it; it's not worth fretting over or changing your normal routine.

Battery lasts no length
O.o what brand? My Asus is now 2 years old and the battery still lasts ~3 hours. Brand new it lasted ~3:30. As for OP: have you tried making it run completely out of battery? Sometimes it's all it needs. You don't usually need to keep it out of the laptop though. Brand really has nothing to do with it unless the laptop/company uses a proprietary system. Battery manufacturers are pretty much the same across the board. More importantly, however, is how the battery is treated. For instance, how often it is calibrated, left to charge, used, etc. My HP lasted less than 20 minutes with a 9 cell battery after two years because I rarely ever used it unplugged (it was too heavy for me to carry around). The same thing might happen to my MacBook because it is plugged in 90% of the time and, since I bought it, I have only put 90 cycles on it.

Wifi issues. - Close please
You obviously didn't do something. I have never lost the wireless connection on my laptop, may it be the time it was on Vista or now on 7. That doesn't mean that it isn't a problem for some. It happened to me many times in Vista.

Battery lasts no length
Depends on the amount of cells. Usually they do not exceed $100 USD.

Fooling a webpage that times out.
Given that the timer set in place is to gauge how long you've actually been working, we cannot aid you in circumventing it. As littleboy said, "[we] shouldn't be helping you with this, if it compromises the standard of your schoolwork." If you have any questions or inquiries feel free to shoot me a PM. :)

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Perhaps you're looking for an agnostic? There's a difference between considering the possibility of a theist entity, and disbelieving in one. I'm an atheist, and I'm well aware to the possibility for a God to exist. I just don't trust so. However, the statement could be changed to any belief, hence my reference to agnosticism. Surely it must be equally as annoying to him when theists do not consider the possibility of there not being a deity; I am unsure why the reference was only towards atheists.
