  1. They had better pull it together.
  2. As many as possible, preferably 8 or so; 7 is the maximum recorded score. I'll look into the kettlebell. I don't think I've ever heard of that before. Worked on sit-ups, squats, and leg strength (elliptical) today to give my arms a break.
  3. I picked up a container of vanilla soy protein powder, as suggested. That should boost my protein intake to 1g per pound. I'm not sure how I could possibly get 1.5g per pound, as that would be 180g. I would really like to thank Dan again, as I severely underestimated the link that he provided. On that website I found several affiliate sites, such as "Fifty Pull-Ups in 7 Weeks." I have since printed out regimens from each of the sister sites: push-ups, squats, pull-ups, and sit-ups. I went to the gym on Monday and followed Vulxai's advice to complete several reps of a few assisted pull-ups (and negative!). On Tuesday my muscles ached so bad that I could hardly get out of bed. Then I went to the gym today and completed my first pull-up. :)
  4. Yeah, I am guilty of thinking the same thing. I agree with Tripsis. The first two are absolutely gorgeous. The first must have been taken from an extremely tall building? :o
  5. Copy the iTunes folder from your old computer onto a USB drive, external HDD, or other external media. Then download and install iTunes on your new computer. Locate the iTunes folder it creates and overwrite it with the existing iTunes folder that you copied from your old computer. You shouldn't have to change any file paths because iTunes will look in the same place that it created the folder. This worked for me just recently when I reinstalled OS 10.6 to clean up space on the SSD. I would highly recommend that you backup your iPod before attempting this (right click on the iPod Touch icon in the left column of iTunes). In my case, existing data on my iPhone was not overwritten by the new computer (the application data, music, videos, and contacts were all unaffected). Perhaps it might be different for you, given the variance in operating systems, but that is how I would go about it.
  6. Alright, well I will continue to keep at it. The maximum for women is 7 of them and I would really like to reach that. The more the better, just for my personal benefit; I am willing to work.
  7. Thank you. I could incorporate that into my workout and it would surely help me with the push-up test. Alright. I'll give it a go. Thank you. :) About how many grams should I be getting daily? With my current diet I am probably getting about 100g. I also keep trying to do pull-ups every time I hit the gym. I get close, but I can never bring myself over the bar without using my legs (which doesn't count).
  8. Hey guys. I need some help with a few of the CFA examinations, specifically the basketball throw and pull-ups (I would prefer not to do the flexed arm hang). Last year, I applied to the USMMA, the USMA, and the USNA but I didn't meet some of the physical standards. So I need some help strengthening these muscle groups - exercises, drills, whatever. To prepare for the basketball throw, I was thinking about buying a medicine ball and working the motions but without releasing the ball. I cannot do a single pull-up at the moment. I've been working on it for a few months now, so I guess my exercises aren't really working. As far as my diet goes, I pretty much stick to organic or all-natural foods. I eat a lot of nuts (cashews and peanuts; I even make my own peanut butter), whole-grain bread, and various fruits. I do not eat meat or vegetables and I am not fond of whey protein (lactose intolerant anyway). If you need to know anything else just ask. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)
  9. Pittsburgh just lost to Philadelphia. I am taking an axe to my television.
  10. Seems like mine is too big, but it just meets the requirements. I think.
  11. Watch out for the Yowie. Ooo, and the Yara-ma-yha-who.

Saru and Zierro I guess, but I don't come around here a lot anymore. :P
  13. You might want to consider adding an hour or two for sleep, as previously mentioned. The OJ and the soda could easily hide away 500 calories (most of which are carbs), depending on how much a "glass" is; conventional glasses easily cover two and perhaps even three servings (usually 8oz or so). You don't really seem to have an unhealthy diet. It might just be the lack of exercise.
  14. Time to restore this thread, since the NHL preseason ends on Thursday. I was looking forward to chilling out on the couch Thursday night at 7:00PM, the TV set to VERSUS. Only to my horror, upon looking at my soccer schedule, to see that my last game started at the exact same time as the hockey game. Ah well. Let's go Pens. :shades:
  15. The last I heard, when it was first opened, it allowed users to select a group of randomized web browsers to use. At least, on the the countries that the EU operates under. Perhaps it isn't put into effect yet? Or perhaps I am out of touch.
  16. Not really. I mean, just look at what Microsoft has done. The name suggests that it is the internet. Then look at Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc., none of those have "internet" in their name and nothing to hint at their function. Prior to the EU's ruling, it came preloaded with every version of Windows. That's practically 90-95% of computers sold to consumers. Before Chrome, browsers were never marketed to consumers. Firefox and Opera were only circulated by more computer savvy consumers through "word of mouth," so to speak.
  17. This can only end with people getting their feelings hurt. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
  18. Exactly what I was thinking. However, moving to 802.11n won't fix much either unless the OP moves to the 5Ghz frequency.
  19. http://forum.tip.it/topic/217499-dont-buy-a-dell-and-i-need-help/page__p__3317749__hl__dell__fromsearch__1#entry3317749 http://forum.tip.it/topic/223585-safe-gpu-temps/page__p__3435250__fromsearch__1#entry3435250 You can go with Dell if you choose, but tread lightly.
  20. Answered in the previous thread.
  21. If could choose either of them for free I would probably get an iPad. But I would never pay for such limited devices. So...I would never use either.
  22. 6/10 I see you in off-topic a lot.
