Behind The Scenes 19: Two New Quests and Al Kharid Rework!
I'll miss Prince Ali Rescue. T'was fun touching Lady Keli's key. Let's hope the prayer xp is not seasonal, seeing that the "Festival for the Dead" sounds like another Gielinor Games.

It's open to F2P now, if you're interested. Holy crap, you're right.

Nestle: Buy Our Candy So We Can Hunt You Down
Sounds like TNT's "Push to Add Drama" button, just a bit more intrusive, rewarding and spontaneous. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=316AzLYfAzw&list

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I started again on my backup/side project f2p account, a range/def pure. Surprisingly fun, eventually if they do re-open beta to f2p I'll try raise stats more and attempt pking as ranged tank. Talking of my f2p account, I really need to raise it's ranged + def level from 40 to 50 for rune/blue d'hide when EoC goes live lol That post was directed more towards montychuck. He was wondering why there were people in F2P beta worlds (at least, that's what I got out of it.)

Squeal of Fortune "Updates" was: Spin Results (970 spins)
Am I reading this wrong, or does this mean the screen and rewards of my next spin are determined even before I get a spin ticket / open the interface? That is the way I read it as well...or at least the reward possibilities are populated. It would not suprise me in the least to find out the reward you will get is already determined as well, but his post didn't really make that clear. I'm expecting the pool of rewards to be predetermined, however the actual prize out of that pool to be determined when you press the green button. Think some jmods have mentioned in the past that your exact prize is still determined when you press the button (and has nothing to do with the animation).

As a guy that has been subscribed to TB for 2 years, I agree with this statement. Really tempted to buy it, that's for sure :P .

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that Members might like checking out how F2P Beta is like. Y'know... because Members can log into both worlds?

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
Here is a transcript of what he said: "There are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47% who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it...These are people who pay no income tax, 47% of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn't connect. So he'll (President Obama) be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean, that's what they sell every four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives. What I have to do is convince the five to ten percent in the center that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one or the other depending upon in some cases emotion, whether they like the guy or not." I'd say it looks more like a Rep. house and a Dem. senate. Elizabeth Warren is ahead in the last 5 polls in MA, the latest WI and VA polls show the race either tied or favoring the Dem. candidate, Ohio and Florida have solid Dem. leads, and even Montana and Indiana look close. I know exactly what he said. And nowhere in that quote does he call anyone a "taxless worker" or a "leech". The way I'm reading the bolded lines are "do what you want, this is America after all!", not "get out of my [bleep]ing country, you leeches!"

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
Within context, I can't say that was a bad statement at all. He merely said what we already know: he is focusing on undecided voters. It's when you take his "47%" figure out of context and start assuming what he'll do about it that things go awry. Then again, when does that not happen in politics? EDIT: Oh yeah, and the question that Romney was answering has been released: And Romney's defense:

If it doesn't involve Internet privacy, we don't care, seeing that we're not conservative middle-aged women. But why should we have privacy over the internet but not in real life? I'm partially trolling by stereotyping the mindset of the average Tip.Iter here :P , I find both equally important. Looking over my old chemistry notes: First Ionization Energy - the energy required to remove the weakest held electron from an atom. Energy required increases as you go from the bottom-left to the top-right of the Periodic Table Electron Affinity - energy released when an electron joins an atom. Also increases from bottom-left to top-right of Periodic Table.

Tip.It Times - 16th September 2012
That "Did You Know..." fact = mind blown. Anyway, I found the first article to be centered too much on items. That's only one of the many rough facets of EOC :P . I'm more worried about overall balance between various styles vs. various creatures.

kinda blew my mind..
Not surprised there's wire tapping going on. TBH, my problem with this is that the NSA isn't being transparent about their dealings and instead denied that anything is going on. I really don't think the government really cares about what Timmy's been doing with Jane.

Runescape Permadeath Server
[hide] HC mode in Diablo 3 says hi. PVP hasn't yet been released in Diablo 3. But its coming. Your argument is invalid. Wouldn't it only be invalid if we knew Diablo 3 was successful with hardcore pvp servers? We have no evidence that this will be the case aside from Diablo's good history with balancing, do we? To build on Kimberly's argument, we don't yet know if there will even be hardcore pvp servers. Will there be PVP? Yes, but it could be only for Normal characters. IDK if there will be hardcore PVP- but if you look my argument never hinged on there being HC PVP. I simply said that 1.) Diablo 3 has a HC mode and 2.) PVP is not out yet, its coming. Never said that HC PVP was coming, that was an assumption he made. [/hide] The reason why I mentioned PVP in the first place is because that is the only way you can accurately compare Diablo 3 with Runescape Hardcore servers. Without those pesky pkers that are, on average, equally as strong as you a Hardcore server will feel just like a normal server. Why even mention Diablo 3 if you won't compare it when it has PVP? You might as well have chosen Binding of Isaac, or something similar...

Behind the Scenes 18: New Challenges, New Security
It is for F2P. Unless we're getting a major update or access to the LRC. The Challenge System, on the other hand, is P2P. The noticeboard is F2P.

Richard III
Still seems rather odd to me. I mean even in the grandchildren generation it is possible (not likely but possible) that none of his DNA would remain. Even if you took a linear model ergo kids = 50%, grandkids = 25% etc. It seems like the generation they actually have would have very small odds of holding any matching genes Mitochondrial DNA (which is likely what they will be testing for) is only passed down maternally. Without going into too much detail (I'm not a geneticist), this means that your mother, her mother, and all her mothers down the line all had the same DNA, barring any random mutations, seeing that there is no paternal DNA to recombine with.
