  1. I don't want to open this can of beans again as it's way past its expiration date, but most guys don't do polyamorous relationships, and a large percentage of women preffer having feelings towards a guy that they don't have to share with others. The way it usually happens is: Girl meets poly guy Girl dates poly guy Girl realizes poly guy won't get exclusive Outcome A: Girl leaves poly guy Poly guy finds another girl, and replaces her Outcome B: Girl stays with poly guy Girl eventually meets mono guy Girl leaves poly guy to date mono guy Girl gets bored of mono guy, returns to poly guy The girl's personality here is more or less irrelevant. The vast majority of girls will follow that pattern... everybody says "oh I could never do that poly thing!" But most of them really will, they just don't know it ;) (random thought while typing this response: Poly Guy sounds like the name of a Pokemon ) But a question now arises: which outcome is more likely to happen? What percentage of women will leave the poly guy, and never come back? Most guys weigh risk vs. reward ever so slightly (when not thinking with the wrong head), and usually, they do not want to anger a woman, therefore they do not pursue multiple "options" in case the "options" do not like being just an "option". As for pokemon, I remember that there was this space pokemon called Polygon that resembled a duck made out of crystal. EDIT: Dear God, I sound like I'm not a guy  .
  2. The grin on the far-right demon looks more comical than diabolical.
  3. I'm surprised you didn't say Avenged Sevenfold, yet ;) .
  4. Led Zeppelin - In My Time of Dying. Most underrated song by them.

  6. Lynyrd Skynyrd, and I'm neither a Southerner, nor a hillbilly, and my neck is as white a cloud.
  7. Remember, bots can stay online for 24h/day  I am having trouble believeing that too now that I have done the math. That would be 347,222 dragons killer per second, or a bit over 2000 dragons killer per second on each world, which isn't possible because there aren't that many dragons, or people to slay them, on a world. Unless I did the math wrong, which I might have. Not a good time of day for me and numbers, so I'll look at my math again later. It's probably 150 dragons killed/day for every account that logged in that day. Assuming 750k players, that is 8.68 dragons killed/second, which sounds more reasonable.
  8. Just watch the Boogie Bow become a new recolour for the Dark Bow. As for the event, I was hoping for something that took more time to do, although I do like the rewards.
  9. I'm surprised that they didn't go with this kind of system. Most MMOs these days allow you to earn the credits that you'd buy with real world money, just not nearly as fast enough as if you bought it. The SOF already works like that, while most other MMO's also offer cosmetics, but without the ability to buy them using currency acquired through playing the game (e.g. the LoL skins, seeing that we are on the subject, or the Blizz store and all those pets and mounts).

I open it from the "wrong end". It's all about doing a clean pinch. After that, the banana unravels symmetrically, without having a stem hanging around, in the way.
  11. While I'm not going to argue that godswords won't be hit by this update, the EE is receiving a very strong buff to make up for the loss of the spec, especially because a whip can't be wielded in the offhand.
  12. inb4runecoinsonsof according to some rsof threads they already are. Probably the same people that told us about the degradeable slayer helm.
  13. On a topic unrelated to that quote, I truly don't like the direction Jagex is taking. If we accept this, what else will Jagex try to push through? Just looking at the posts in this thread, a worrying amount of people are desensitized by the SoF saying that at least this is much better than the SoF. I can see this being a green light for Jagex to release more microtransactions, starting with time-expiring ones, and maybe ending with combat items. Phase two of Operation DestroyRS, complete. I'm really tempted to use my 200 rcoins on that Guy Fawkes mask as a form of protest, but I'd only be willing to do it if others do the same :P
  14. Along with Breaking Wind, Gravedigger, Mahjarrat Transformation, and Frog Animation, all of them costing a bit over $2.00/emote
  15. I have been offered it once, and I have never been a member. I was told to watch an ad, turned out to be a Cartoon Network ad, then was offered a free dragon ceremonial cloak (my first SoF costume piece). Like you, I tried claiming, but wouldn't let me, so I exited the window. when going back on the SoF page, I was forced to roll again, grabbing a agility small lamp instead (members only, of course). This only happened to me once, so I'm not sure what Jagex is pulling here, but it's surely not finished right now, as the "fake prize" bug seems to happen often (seeing that both me and OP got the same bug).
  16. I quit a while before the first bonus xp weekend, so I didn't see its effects on the economy. Not surprised Jagex stopped doing them, though, even if there is a lot of resentment in the community from people without 95/99 herblore or 99 agility. I wouldn't be surprised if Jagex is making new training methods, or are developing concepts for them. I can see how Jagex could make a new agility course that incorporates EoC hotkeys and is more reactive, instead of the static and repetative obstacles of today.
  17. Was noticing in games that Ashe goes bot, but I hanged back at the start of the match to see where the others go, and two guys went straight for bot, so I decided to go top instead. As for my build, I admit, I started making some strange decision around halfway through the match. The guide I decided to follow recommended Doran's Blade > Boots of Swiftness > B.F. Blade into infinity Edge > Phantom Dancer > Banshee's Veil > Bloodthirster > Last Whisper. Went well for the first few steps, but after a while I found that I had to go back early and I could only afford the cheapest items in the build, so I stopped caring what I would get. And thanks for the help, guys :D . One last thing: what do AD and AP stand for exactly? Couldn't find them in any guides about acronyms.
  18. After doing a couple of bot games and being away for a week, I finally got around to doing my first normal match. I feel like everything will go downhill after this. Went on a 12 kill streak before dieing. Just wondering, but does it matter which lane I take? Is there a difference between top and bottom, for example? I went top when laning and proceeded to tear Cho'Gath and Miss Fortune a new one any time I met them.
  19. Your realm still has nearly twice my realm's score  . Really tempted to start playing again, but I feel like I might just play for two months again, where I spend 6/8 weeks trying to get my raiding spot back.
  20. I think I might be the only person that pronounces it "Ar-down", with the "own" being pronounced like "own" as in "to own something". As for the quest, I really want to see the in-game models of (spoilers): [hide]Freddy Mercury and Gene Simmons[/hide]
  21. Bit late to the party, but Muggi's escapade and usage of a spreadsheet reminds me of this poor dude: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/cyber_cad_dater_input_LGdBZ57ATtIGWwCqffATXM And another article defending the guy: http://news.yahoo.com/defense-dating-spreadsheet-133441740.html Just thought I'd share this guy's blunder. Words of wisdom: no matter how hot and down to earth someone is, don't show her a spreadsheet comparing her to some other girls  .
  22. source: http://services.rune...variety-and-fun Think that is the third-to-last Og Blog. the only thing that post says is how the current combat is unskillful (alot of it being untrue might i add), and nothing about how the new system will help improve it. Isn't it obvious? The new abilities will make combat more reactive by activating abilities to force the opponent's hand, take them out, freak them out, or to prevent the opponent from damaging you. It's worked well for other hotkey MMO's, especially in pvp. If you don't believe that requires skill, you haven't seen high-level pvp (or ranked pvp) in hotkey MMO's.
  23. I read that as Premenstrual Syndrome and lol'd a bit. That would be... Jagex. I think he's disagreeing with the notion that skills (as in player decision) will not affect combat, while I believe you meant skills as in Runescape experience skills (Strength etc.). Jagex has stated a few times that its not your combat level that affects your experience gained, but your skill trained vs. enemy's defence, unless I misunderstood you. So... like WoW Impact"]Impact?I like the idea of that, however I've noticed that a fair few don't like the idea that these abilities should consist of most of your DPS. If jagex makes combo abilities, then pressing lots of buttons will become nearly mandatory because it will increase the ability output.
  24. I played a Hunter in WoW, so I know the basics of kiting, I'll look over a few videos on how Ashe kites, but I don't think I'll get into LoL ranked, or anything more competitive than a game a day, if even that. I did notice that my biggest weakness is that I get caught offguard easily and then I get thrashed by somebody from behind, which is why I liked Sivir during those moments because of her E ability.
  25. You'd do well learning ashe, her ultimate changes games. Sivir is really weak at the moment. Ashe Pros Game changing ultimate (1 good arrow can turn an entire fight) permanent slow with her q Cons Passive is useless late game no escape skills Sivir Pros Long range poke with q teamwide aura Sivir Cons no escape skills shorter auto attack range Sivir is good for her ultimate only, it's a team wide aoe movement speed and attack speed buff. Most of the other ad carrys excel at her role better. Thanks, bought a few runes that were recommended in guides and put points in some masteries, I'll try one more bot game, then I'll try using Ashe against other players.
