Runescape Permadeath Server
I can see one of these servers get old really fast after you die for the 10th time and have to start over from the same position everytime.

Stupidest things you've gotten grounded for?
What are you, 7? My uncle is as holier-than-thou as Catholics come, and his kids still have facebook. Nah, you're about a decade off. Let's just say that my parents don't trust anything on the Internet, not even the banks. This was years ago when facebook was starting out, mind you.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
The problem here isn't the fact that the ps3 is hard to port, that is well known. The problem is that Bethesda postpones the release of the PS3 DLC up to 3-6 months without any reports of there being any bugs, then they delay the release by another 5 months (which is what happened to Operation Anchorage for Fallout 3) to "iron out bugs". To make matters worse, they have shown that they don't even pay attention to their PS3 players even after the delays. The most notable example that I can think of is Fallout 3: Game of the Year edition. If I were to buy the DLC right now, I can choose to either buy the GOTY edition for $20, however I will have to start new characters because of a bug that does not allow old characters access to the DLC (plus the GOTY Edition is known to be more buggy overall), or fork out $50 for all 5 addons on the PSN. A $30 difference for a smoother game that allows me to play my old characters.

Runescape Power Rankings
You're ranking the wyrms a bit high imo. While they were known to level entire cities, so was Kr'il Tsutaroth, which would be ranked under T4. Also, the QBD is the progenitor of the wyrms (which were the first dragons), which were known to be weak, therefore they probably have a lower combat level than you think.

Botany Bay BTS Vid.
I'll probably have a giant dragon hand pointing down at me for the next month or so. I'm currently firemaking on World 1, and there's a giant stack of people exactly in the same spot as me. This will be fun.

New Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
RSN: Decebalus6 Not as high as I wanted it to be after taking a three year break, but hey, it's good enough for the list  . Still don't know how some people get ridiculous dging experience even in F2P, I don't think I've ever averaged more than 10k/hr on a good day. I'm Canadian, btw.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
All this talk about Hearthfire makes the little PS3 fanboy inside my heart die a little. Ah well, the fact that nirnroot gardens aren't possible yet brightens me up a bit. Damn, I made a bad decision buying Skyrim for the PS3 after the FO3 GOTY fiasco. :(

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
Too bad that Harper has shown that he is willing to bend over for the United States at every whim. I can't exactly blame him when the US is our biggest trading partner. As it stands right now, I am willing to assume that, in the case of a war, when the US will ask for aid from NATO, Canada will help them. By the way, was Clinton's defense of Obama really that good or are the news outlets I'm reading just biased? They were raving about the Republican convention a while ago...

Jagex Account Guardian
While it will cut down on the cases, most people on here are disappointed because this isn't the best security measure to implement (e.g. two step is a lot more foolproof). Also, I haven't heard of anybody losing their RS account because of a big forum hack yet in Runescape. That's because you were inactive around the time Tip.it was hacked last year. There were a lot of older accounts that (stupidly, IMO) had their emails tied to their runescape account/same password/etc. And because their recovery system was still pretty bad then, it didn't take much to hijack another account. I occassionally read the forums when they were hacked, I wasn't fully inactive. And yes, I do realize that some fansites were hijacked, although I did not know of Zybez or Draynor being hacked. I was under the impression that the damage done by the hackers was minimal. Before jumping the gun, have there been any credible reports of users losing their runescape account because of these hackings? I am probably missing a lot of information as I was preoccupied with other things at the time. Sorry in advance if this has been discussed before and I just missed it. Well think of it like this. The hackers got database bumps of multiple huge fan sites, which includes username, e-mail, password hashes (in the case of DI -- plain text passwords) and IP information at the least. Now consider that most of those passwords had low strength/security and that many people use the same passwords on e-mail, fansites, and/or RuneScape. If these people used the same password on the fan sites that they did on RuneScape, that's automatic account access. If they used the same e-mail account on fansites as they did RuneScape, that allowed hackers to try to brute force/recover the e-mail accounts, and then use the e-mail accounts to recover RuneScape accounts. Then consider that everyone and their mother in the hacking world wanted a piece of these databases. People bought the entire database, or individual member information, etc. You can only imagine how many accounts they went after. Now, a lot of those counts were probably old, inactive accounts, so you won't have heard the account owners complaining about it. But a lot of those people were also regular, current players. Not everyone's account was hacked, and not everyone's password hash was cracked (I assume), but even a small portion of a 100k-200k membership database is huge. If you had lurked some hacker forums during the time of the attacks (which I did and I'm sure a lot of other people did), you would have seen just how many people bragged about getting a piece of x database and then recovering y account, etc. I do know that much, I read the PM you sent me months back, and I knew about the rest you didn't mention in the PM. I find it easy to believe that people have lost rs accounts in the hacks, however I haven't yet heard of any notable account hacks (as in, accounts worth a significant amount on the RWT market, not RS celebrities) where the hijacking occured because of a fansite hack. That being said, I am willing to agree that there is a very high chance that highly valued accounts have been compromised, so a discussion isn't exactly required anymore.

Stupidest things you've gotten grounded for?
I was also offered... oral sexual favors by one of the neighborhood girls and my brother's friend showed me her boobs. My childhood was interesting.... Couldn't resist. To be on-topic, I got grounded for 6 months because my parents thought I had a Facebook account. Funnily enough, I didn't have one, but when I got my computer back, the first thing I did was make a Facebook account. Oh, the irony.

Tip.It Times - 2nd September 2012 - 200th Publication!
I find this complaint to be slightly unjust. When you compare the 2011 Thanksgiving events with past thanksgiving events, Thanksgiving actually got better. Thanksgiving events in general have been simple since 2008, I was actually glad this one had more substance to it than "spot 10 turkeys" or "bash turkey skull in" or even "bash skull in if you haven't already" that we got in the past.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Oh yeah, and something else: red spiders are now level 136, which is the highest non-rev enemy in the F2P game from what I found. They're also great xp, although I've tried killing them with 40 ranged on a noob account and I couldn't damage them one bit.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
For me, personally, the elements are there, but the balancing is nowhere near good enough. The spell damage Latin posted in the EOC thread shows how strange their damage values are, and I found that certain creatures are terribly hard to kill (e.g. moss giants with ranged, lessers while afk melee) while others gave way too much xp (low levelled creatures like goblins).
