anim7, I woudlnt be surprised if on top of being kicked everyone from the channel ignores you. Undercutting fellow merchants by 900k infront of all the other "known" merchants as you put it wasnt smart. On top of that you have the whole merchanting thing way off - ripping people off IS what we do. Dont be surprised if this thing goes further, some kiddies tend to take things too far in this game and start personal vendettas. edit: #1. You could have been smart about it and sent the guy a PM #2. He may not have been buying a santa period, they were just checking your merchant honor, which you violated in my opinion #3. I'm beginning to see how you've become a mod, kissing Jagex feet. Don't you see this kills all staking? I'll tell you something, stakers are also players. Even worse, they're also human. For them it's like killing pking, it's their way of playing the game. They weren't harming anyone with it, they were just minding their own business and suddenly Jagex comes and kills their whole game. I'm very disappointed about the attitude of several TIFers: "I don't stake, not my problem". They've just killed the whole point of the game for some people. No, it's not my way of playing either, but I'm still quite upset by this update. This is the first riot I support. They've gone too far. I was expressing same concern about merchanting and upcoming GE update, but the very same attitude by the very same self righteous hipocrites was directed at me. I hate cheaters and exploiters a lot. There is this new wave of players who seem utterly incapable of achieving anything and resort to scamming, cheating, lying, begging, and god knows what else. Best thing you can do is just not trust anybody at all no matter how promising it sounds. Just remember, if it seems too good to be true then it definately is. Ill give you example. Someone was offering me 1mil per run, carrying essence for someone. They wanted me to wear robes that they were giving me and a santa hat that I have. I didnt bother listening to more because it already seemed like an obvious scam. Sorry your friend list his 1.5mil, hopefuly he doesnt quit.

Justice would be the parents admitting that they were at fault here, they kept the girl in a bubble, she was unable to handle the harrasment becouse she was protected at every turn by overbearing parents, they wouldnt let her use the internet unsupervised for christs sake, id have killed myself too, not to mention she had a.d.d Which was probably misdiagnosed asperges, you guys have no idea what people go through trying to get through school and just general life with a.d.d, asperges or autism even without overprotective parents looking over their shoulders 24/7. I suffer from severe form of a.d.d. and dislexia - im still alive and kicking.

off topic response Dear qeltar, I am in no way form or shape attempting to derail the thread. I am debating my persona views on the matter with lord_british and responding to his statements. If you want to further discuss this matter with me you can respond to my 2 previous posts directed at you. Sorry, I did not think that debating the subject and responding to things posted at me was an attempt to derail this matter, I will make a specific notation from now on in order to avoid miscommunication and confusion. You are using big words + insults yet avoid the statement. You know why you dont care (despite saying you do)? because you are not going to lose sleep over it. Thats the point, same reason a lot of people quit World of Warcraft, myself included. When they released their expansion they utterly destroyed the effort people put into developing their characters for the first 2 years. Seing how runescape was around for much longer, the impact it would have would be much worst. Then again, I dont want to speculate so we will see what happens, I wont be too upset if I had to quit Ill always find a new game :)

I see increasing number of people speculating about merchscape and the new games. My question is simple... Do you really think jagex will cripple their own profit by introducing a new game that may potentialy steal its player base? Now, ofcourse we can consider that Mechscape will have p2p features as well, however, that would simply mean they have to do twice as much work and maintain 2 games instead of 1 if they were to split existing runescape population between runescape and merchscape. Maybe merchscape will simply be a minigame inside runescape?

A trigger only sets off what is already there. That is what the word itself means. She was like a loaded gun ready to go off at any provocation. A person with no mental illness wouldn't have any trivial triggers like Megan. Maybe a normal person would commit suicide over a terminal illness but they wouldn't kill themselves over an internet slur. You cant be selectively merciful. Blowing 1 suicide out of proportion in comparison to all the other deaths seems pointless and infact a way to seek attentnion, by those who initiate it. You are focusing too much on 1 example, look at the overall daily mortality issue as a whole, 1 suicide (regardless of cause) is insignificant on the larger scale. Ill say it again, I dont defend the heartless adults, but the girl was suicide risk. Chances are, something else would have triggered it eventualy anyways. Only thing I personaly cant understand is the girls parents not seeking a form of revenge, but thats from my own personal point of view. And again, you resort to insults. If you want to be judgemental make sure you are qualified to judge, which you are not in my point of view so you are no better than him.

Ill give you an example. I was in seers bank one day, buying supplys. Some kid was selling me stuff and I made my offer. He didnt like it and instead of saying he wants more he then proceeded to insult me. Thing is, he didnt stop with 1 or 2 insults, it went on for about 10 minutes. He followed me and kept cursing me off. So I called my player mod friend who plays on my home world and he came and saw the abusive things that kid was saying and took action. Some people (and I doubt its adults) have no control over their emotions and anger and dont know when to stop. No amolunt of debating or internet posts will alter that unfortunately. Now thats very sad and true. Media is out of control and those pesky journalists will often go way too far. You can even argue that they caused princess Diana to die. Would you not agree that we as people also learn from critisism aimed at us? The point I keep trying to make is all people at some point grow up and learn things for themselves. Sad reality is that only way a person truely lerns is from their own mistakes, not through reading about the mistakes of others.

To borrow your analogy, it's neither the gun nor the bullet he's blaming, but the person pulling the trigger... or are you still so self-centred, or intent on creating a fuss about pedantry, that you can't or won't see that? Depression is treatable, and she was being treated. Megan Meier was pushed into suicide as a direct result of Internet abuse. How can you blame the internet for suisadal tendancies?
