Wow that's a good theory on what happened. My mindset was stuck on the 1st come 1st serve system of before. If what you're saying is true, it wasn't long at all until my offer got completed after it did a permanent hourglass. It really is hard to say either way, but it does make sense. Right now I have another sigil offer at 2m above the current mid, because, according to what I thought, I'd eventually get it. I may just leave it and see if I don't get it by next sigil manual update, which, doesn't necessarily mean it's not true, but really if it is, I'd more than likely get it.

Agree. I rather have all my skills 95-98 and just play the game (points to stats). Especially with shattered hearts and effigies nowadays.

But if you waited over a month then put offer in, and still got it....That saves me a lot of worry. I'll be sure to try this. Thanks very much. Bladewing: I haven't been playing much. But my offer has been hourglassed every time that I've checked it for the past few weeks (which was once every 1-3 days). I do have the Runescape toolbar installed, and I am using a browser everyday for sure, and as soon as I saw it was completed I hopped on. Div has not been fluctuating 150k (the difference from my offer to the current max then) a day, more like 100 gp some days other days 10k etc. So I'm basically saying if you get an offer in as soon as you can after a manual update, cross your fingers and leave it in until the next manual update. You need to have your offer at least above the current mid. But with this information out there and if it is true (which I'm more than convinced it is) it might get highly competitive to snipe elys and divs as people will leave their hourglassed offers in. EDIT: Proof enough for me but I can't really prove to you guys I got my sigil last GE update: The price fluctuations are actually due to holy elixir + spirit shields I believe. Check their graphs out. There's no way my offer could have fallen back into the range.

Went through whilst hourglassed- I'm 98 percent sure. Unless I missed one or two updates where it wasn't, there's no way. If what I believe to have happened is actually true, I think elys and divs are too good of a bargaining chip for phats atm.

Ok it took a few months, but I got it. If anyone remembers, I posted a few times as to whether or not it matters if your offer falls outside the range for a coinshared item, specifically, the sigils. They fluctuate everyday because they're linked to spirit shields. But they go up 50mish every 3 months due to Jagex's manual rises. Conclusion: It absolutely doesn't matter if you camp for ge updates for these specific items as you can see (as long as you're above the current mid). In other words, get yer offers as soon as ely or div itself manually updates. I don't care that this info is out there now, it kinda was before, but this is solid proof now. Also I traded for this. Don't know or care if this was a terrible deal, but I'm happy:

Also. They almost always come after you get an exorbitant amount of XP in a place that doesn't allow randoms.

+ scroll of life is best used with torstols. + xp is crazy good.

Ha, that's EXACTLY what I did up to my current status (98). Just a word of advice: don't make too many saplings ahead of time. I'm still stuck with 35 calquats (and also 35 papaya to match them on the run). But I made a killing on torstols especially because I bought them all when they were ~100k each..

Yeah I'm thinkin about cancelling Jungles and Desert worms.. IT IS annoying.. and the drops don't make up for them anymore. However, I think it's craziness to block Icies.. They're annoying too but the slayer/mage xp is pretty insane.

Dno, I agree with the OP somewhat. Been 98 summ for months (don't ask, I stop leveling things at 98 if I can help it), I used the iron titan a lil bit but it wasn't ground breaking. I can totally see using it for slayer though. But vs player etc. it's a joke on anyone > level 100. The interface is sloppy and it's a pain to use it effectively. I like using Yak most of the time. Also, I think the combat familiars < the iron titan/geyser titan need a little rework. Make specials better mostly. The smoke devil with a charged helm is amazing at chaos devil daggs though.

See it this wayy. You put offer in for max for a divine sigil, g.e updates the sigil loses a few hundred gp value. Now you have a timerglass on your sigil offer. Your offer for the sigil is valid so long as you have that timerglass on. Once the timerglass gets removed, you have to abort your offer as other max offers will preceed yours. Don't think so. I remember Master_Smither sniping either a divine or an ely after his offer had been "hourglassed" for some time. He also got back 14m gp IIRC. I guess my post didn't make sense fully, if he DID have the hourglass then that means he HAS a chance at sniping. Ok thanks guys. My offer has been in for about 2 weeks. Nothing yet. I'll keep it in for now.

This is a great thread tbh. I recently got a silk hood recently and was wondering the same. I haven't done any team games with it yet, but the few levels I soloed it was mildly useful. It's kind of a toss-up cause I noticed at least solo I had to camp for extra food or use time to make a plate.

The fastest way is to burthorpe anything but them (and abysalls imo). I did that I seemed to get a few tasks a day.

I actually just did it 5 minutes ago. I did a Z spear, karils chest, torag helm and legs. I soul splitted and turmoiled the whole time. Used Yak and overloads with the brew and super restore combo. I know you don't have my stats, so you might want to range instead. He's got some pretty high melee defense at least. Tip: When he unleashes bombs, lure him over to the pillars, then run behind them when he's about to do the next attack (he'll say something).

Try safe mode. I used to black out at TDs and in dungeoneering levels, but safe mode fixed it. But they updated it so I can high def those places too. Might have something to do with ATI cards, according to a Jagex mod I talked to.
