Hosting a Open House...How does it work?
If you open your POH to Friends or Clanmates (or general public), what is the responsibility of the host? For instance...let's say I want to host a Gilded Alter Open House...can I run back and forth to the bank and use my Alter as well?...or do I have to stay within the confines of my House so everyone else can enter? Can you allow those on your Friend's list to use your house in Yanille even if you are at the GE in Varrok? Please let me know what is or is not possible. Thanks!

Fast furnace
If using a Ring of Forging and using your Varrok Armor, when the extra bar is created it DOES NOT take an extra charge from your ring. The trick is every 4th run, check how many charges you have left. If, on the fifth run, you ring will be used up, bring an extra ring in your pack. If the ring has more than 28 charges left when checking it, you do not need to check again until the fifth run is complete. When there is less than 28 changes left, pack an extra in your backpack. When the ring you are wearing runs out, you automatically stop smelting. Simply wear the new ring, and keep smelting. I've gotten 161 Iron Bars to smelt 100% from 1 ring....whereas without the armor, you only get 140 bars per ring.

Cooking Advice
Your tactic will depend on HOW you are gathering. If you are buying off GE and cooking, stick to Lobbies and Swordfish. You stop burning Swordies once you reach Level 86 Cooking without Gauntlets (80, if using Cooking Gauntlets) You stop burning Monkfish at level 90. Gauntlets have no effect on whether you burn Monkfish or not. If you are Fishing and Cooking, Monkfish are faster to fish than Sharks, and easier to gather in large numbers than Swordfish. I would not recommend starting with Sharks unless you get to Level 94 Cooking first. Then (and only then)coupled with Cooking Gauntlets, you stop burning Sharks. Without Gauntlets, there is always the possibility of burning Sharks...even at 99 (according to all the guides). Good Luck on getting your Cape.

Morphic Hammer and Construction.
I have been using the Hammers with Oak Planks. Filling my Invent with 26 Oak Planks, I was making 3 Larders and 1 set Mith Armor Stand / run...approx 3.2k xp per run. I also tried the following...filled invent, and made 2 Oak Globes (total of 6 planks), then making Mith Armor Stands with the rest...it was around 4k xp / run...but you use the hammers up MUCH faster. I don't have a dungeon or butler...so not sure how all this stacks against the method most use...Oak Dungeon Doors. Using my first method, I used 2 hammers up while going from 66 Construction to 69 Construction. And...I finally have my own Gilded Alter (69 construction, using Crystal Saw and making cup of tea from Kitchen shelves gives +6 construction; 69 +6 = 75...Alter Time!) \

sc fletching
I used a Fletching Knife on Yew Longs last night, it is lasted roughly 500 - 550 Logs. I think it is worth using the Fletching Knife....especially for Yew and Magic Logs.

range sucks?
If you want totrain Range as F2P, try the Wizards Tower south of Draynor Village. Range will beat Mage as part of the Combat Triangle. They drop decent rates of Runes, but GP drop rate is the pits. Still, it a good way to train Range at the level you are.

Summer's End Help
Tip.it'ers...Requesting some insight and Guidance on completing the phases of this Quest. OK...I'm in the cave at the part where I need to chop 5 root logs and burn them. I've set 2 fires, but since the distance of the Beast Strikes has increased each time I set a fire, he keeps killing me before I can either chop the 5 logs for the last fire...or when I get the logs, I get killed trying to set them in the firepit and light them. Is there a good strategy to getting the logs? A Good side of the cavern towork on? I get unlimited run from Oo'glog, so no issue there. Food wise, if I start to get hit it is almost impossible to eat without getting hit again, so type of food to take doesn't really matter much. And what of the other 2 parts of the Quest? Capturing the Dark Core - And Blessing the Graves. I'm looking for personal experiences, and what could be a good strategy for making it a bit easier and reducing the number of Death's I will experience (13 now, and counting....Grrrrr) Please do not point me to the Guide. Reading the guide will not help...I am looking for personal experiences from those who are either in the midst of the Quest, or who have finsihed the Quest and can reflect on what they did, and what they could have done to finish easier. Thanks!! :

Skill Capes vs. Quest Skill Cape
I think that the Lower Level you are, the more impressive a Quest Cape is. I am having a heck of a time with Summer's End Quest; I only have 81 HP, and the Beast can 1-hit me. I have to finish that, and then While Guthix Sleeps to regain my QP cape. I do not have a 99 in anything else, but I'm closest in Cooking (almost 94). I could BUY the Skill, I guess, but then that detracts from the experience. Buying ANY Skill, to me, detracts from the value. But that is my personal belief...I'm sure others would disagree with me. For those that have said that the QP Cape is nothing because there are guides...HELLO - Not all of us use Guides. I could also argue that there are Player Guides to help in every aspect of every Skill as well...where to chop trees closest to a bank...where to burn logs...closest fire source to cook on...easiest place to train Slayer...Best place raise Combat Skill...etc. I am proud of my Quest Cape (which I keep losing every Quest, and have to try and retain!). I was proud of being able to beat MM with an overall Combat Level less than 90. I took great pride in being able to finish ME2...up until the Summer's End Quest, this was THE WORST, most AGGREVATING Quest created. Most of those knocking the QP Cape probably have never attempted this quest. TBH - who really cares what someone else thinks about your QP Cape or Skill Cape. You only have to ask yourself 1 thing...did I enjoy the journey to my Cape? If you can answer honestly "YES", then nothing else matters.

Please Lock - Question was answered. Thank you.
Thank you for the replies. I did go ahead and check the Workbench, and found what I was looking for. I'll ask a Mod to close this thread. Again, thanks for the replies.

Please Lock - Question was answered. Thank you.
In general, is there a list somewhere of all the possible Flatpacks that can be made? I've never tried to make any type of Flatpack. Any advice a Tipiter can give would be appreciated. Thanks

Compost Mound Level boost stacking...?
I know for a fact that they do not stack...found it out when trying to finish the Varrock Achievement Diary. :|

Range - New question added ... again
Its not necessary to stay in Ranged Armor with a Cannon. It helps...but really isn't necessary. If you have a high Defense Level, then the Range Gear Boosts are a good thing to have. The fastest rage item in the game that you can acquire in large quantities quickly would be Throwing Knives. If you have a Zammy or Guth Book, couples with RFD Gloves you will have no problems leveling very quickly.

Range Help!
I killed Moss Giants to get to level 70. I used the spot NW of Ardougn. Hugging the rocks to use as a safe spot, I never needed to bring any food. I would go with Iron knives for a bit...then switched it up to Iron, or Steel arrows with Magic Short to ease the boredom. Its less exciting when there is no chance of them hitting you...LOL If you can use King Lathas's Training Ground, and don't care about drops or retrieving ammo, then get a Bone CB & Bone Bolts and fire away. Ammo was very cheap when I bought last (4 gp / bolt), and Bone Crossbow gives decent Range boost and fires pretty quick.

cooking question! help please
To gather food to begin with, go to any cow field or chicken coop and pick up the raw meat left after someone makes a kill. I never had the cooking gauntlets, but I am now at level 91 Cooking. I stopped burning Monkfish at 90. I DO NOT cook on campfires...rather I use the oven in the Cooking Build Bank area. (I have my Varrok 3 Armor). Not sure if use of a stove makes a difference or not. 1300 Monkfish cooked without burning a single 1...so far. If you are going to cook, I sugest using the RFD bank in the Lumbridge Castle Basement, and use the range on the floor above. I have been told that using this range minimizes the chances of burning food. Best of Luck on achieving your goal.

p2p cookign adivce
One of the best cooking spots for P2P Players is unlocked after completing the Varrock Achievment Diary. The Cooking Guild has a Bank inside with a Range 3 or 4 steps away from it. The close proximity to the GE allows you to cook and sell quickly, while restocking on Raw Fish as needed. Never crowded, since few people take the time to complete it. Unlike at the Rogues Den, you dont have to worry about someone accidentally "Talking" to the banker, which causes him to wander around...throwing off the training until you get him back closer to the fire again. Ranges decrease the % chance of burning what you are cooking, so this is a perfect place to train the skill. I will admit...prior to completing the Varrock Diary, I always chose to cook in the Rogues Den under the bar in Burthorpe. It was very annoying, though, when someone talked to the banker either on accident or just to be a jerk. :shame:

I sware to god if anyone says I bought my account...
Ehhh...you bought that account! JUST KIDDING...Dont' Shoot! You had to expect it, with starting a thread like that!! LMAO The MTA is a great place to train Mage...without spending a lot. The Enchanting Chamber gets good XP. Graveyard is terrible for XP, so stay away from there. Good luck with 99 Mage!

How should I manage my kingdom?
I put 1.2 Mil in...10 Workers on Fish (raw) and the remainder on Maples. I leave for a week, and collect on the same day I get my Tears of Guthix...I use that as my reminder. I will go to the island daily if possible...or whenever I have the opportunity, but it is not essential. I cook all the Swordies and sell on GE...maybe cook 1k of Tuna and sell those + the Raw Tuna on the GE...and usually make a profit just from that! I was burning the Maples to increase my FMing...and the Tree Seeds for Farming. Over 1 week, the workers will use 525k. So, if you only go once per week to collect, you only have to take 525k with you so your money always stays at 1.2 mil at the start of MTK'ing each week. I mange based on what I want to use to increase my stats...but I also make a tidy sum of money with this method as well as XP. Try mixing and matching...but ALWAYS max out the Fish (raw). This will be your primary money maker. Good Luck! :

zammy pages
The fast rise in price is due to the Avianse Guides for the GWD...LOL The guide pretty much made it a "MUST HAVE". Last I tried to purchase them, the were arouns 1 Mil each...I gave up after none of my offers were taken...even when I tried to purchase MAX price on all, updating my offer multiple times a day. Unfortunately, they probably will not drop in price unless Jagex makes an update that is as profitable as the Avianses...and is better served using one of the other books. If you get the pages...Congrats. :

The cheapest way from 40-50 smithing?
Iron Throwing Knives are your best friend! Ore can be purchased on the GE (I've gotten 4k Iron Ore for as low as 89 coins each ore). The key is having Rings of Forging, so you are always successful at smelting. Each Iron bar gets you 5 knives...and I've sold them for as much as 40 coins each throwing knife (almost a doubling of my initial investment). This is BY FAR, the cheapest (albeit slow) method to raise your Smithing. Most would get bored quickly with this method as it is SLOW...but you are guaranteed to make a profit! Note: I don't consider the Rings of Forging in my profit equation.

getting the rc pouches
To get the pouches, you have to access the Abyss...and your Prayer gets drained anyway. When I went to get my pouches, I went to the Abyss and tried to find a spot where just a few on the Abyss Creatures could get to me..preferrably the lowest level ones. There are spots...and I ranged until I got all of the pouches. The key (based on your Stat Description) will be finding one of these spots. Bring good food and some Runes to Tele out in the event your health gets too low.

Last three skills for QC
If you just want the WC level, then cut in Tai Bwo Wannai. Take a Tinderbox, Axe, and 100 Trading sticks. Pay the sticks to enetr and chop away. Burn the logs when you get full inventory (There is an open area to burn at both the top and bottom on the enclosure so you dont have to leave!) Just stay until you get your desired level. Both Teak and Mohagany cut quick. Then, move onto one of the other skills on your list. Good Luck! :D

crimson charm droppers
Black Demons in the Chaos Tunnels drop a good amount of Charms...and most are Crimson. There are safe spots from which to Range or Mage safely, so no need for more than 1 piece of food. Take runes to High Alch any drops not worth taking (Black Swords, Steel B-Axe, etc.)

Burning Monkfish
Wearing the gloves does not affect the rate at which you burn Monks. The gloves are for Lobbies, Swordies, and Sharks...but best used with Sharks (with gloves, you stop burning at 96...without gloves, you always have the chance at burning sharks). I have seen on other Help Sites that you stop burning Monks at Level 90. I am not personally at 90 yet to test it (currently 88...closing in fast on level 89!) When I get to 90, I'll test it!

Manage The Kingdom - question
Doesn't matter at what time you cut the Maples...Each log is worth 1 point. Same goes for Mining the rocks...or catching fish.
