03-May-2011 Capes of Distinction
Personally i got the classic and 5 year cape just fine. Is everyone who is trying to get it asking the npc's the right questions? They didn't exactly choose the best chat options for either For hans, what do you do here? For iffie I'm here to talk about what you are knitting

Future Update Discussions
I like how these differ from skill capes quite a bit. I really like the classic and veteran cape (expect vet's colors), but the cape of 10's looks a bit odd.

'HYT' and what happened here?!
I still see people throwing around hyt every now and then. Mostly among users who happen to see each other outside world 99. People can also change their usernames on runescape as well as the forums so even if there are users you remember they might have relabeled themselves.

200m all skills
It was temp locked to do some cleaning, reading necro's last post it seems it's back open.

i thought wc was good.
Sometimes people fluff their values. Also they could have been talking about having 99 woodcutting or not been up to date on current yew prices.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
I think you might have hit the nail on the head here... I agree with a lot what was said there. But to add on i believe think some of the issues here are more so brought on by jagex's recent actions/lack of actions. Even if many members of tip.it feel there is life in the game some are discouraged by ongoing lack of trust in jagex as a company. We see next to nothing done about bots, updates that don't satisfy, various bugs that come up. Ultimately this leads to too many topics and posts about bots/hatred towards jagex/nit picking very small issues. And even after that it seems all of this game has been talked about. Of course large updates cause various topics about the unknown or what has changed, but when there are not many game changing updates the forums seem to stagnate. Now i am not here to bash jagex and i still have faith in them, but i think this magnifys the separation in the community. People choose their sides and fight about it rather then helping each other discover something about the new update or even talking about what the future might hold. I used to come on the forums to discover something new/hear other people's opinions. At this point i feel i already know who feels what, and most details of the game.

Portal 2 anounced
If you have a friend split the price with you it's possible to get a 2 pack for $10 off each copy or pre order it for $5 off alone. You can also wait a while i am sure at there will be a price drop (espeically around christmas). Yeah i was just hoping to use my weekend free time to play  . Although getting it any amount of time early is a nice gesture so i can't really complain

Really? I must have missed it, anybody have a link? Look at pages 2 and 3 of this thread at tripsis and das. Also cowman posted i think on page 4.

I really hope that's a release countdown. Also what they have done is a great way to hype up the game

TIF is bit over-moderated
To me it seems there is too much importance put on a few users. Frankly everyone here can and will be replaced at some point. Although i have only officially been here for a few years i have been on them much longer and seen users come and go. Get banned, complain about it and life at tip.it went on. I am glad that the staff moderate enough to keep most spam and trolling post out. I certainly don't enjoy reading some of the garbage that has built up. My view on the moderation has not changed. I still feel this is one of the best communities around.

What if Jagex made RS like this ?
I like rs how it is, if i wanted a mmo like that i would play one of the many others. I like rs because i can instantly load it from just about any computer anywhere and it's not going to bog everything down.

Bot disappearance?
Did the other posters even read what the op said? This wasn't some other thread about bots, the guy was talking about bots missing. Pretty different than what is normally discussed. On topic: Perhaps a j mod made a bot banning run through a few worlds and you happen to check those worlds at the right time. As far as i know there hasn't been any big events going on.

The Overall Easiest 99 Skill To Get?
There are 9860 people with 99 construction. There are over 100k accounts with 99 fletching. But yeah, the OP seems to have totally forgotten about the fact that 99s are hard when you don't have a few p hats (or sets) to sell for skilling. Do you know you quoted someone from 2007 :P ?

Should the Uber Cape include:
I think the champions is a bit ridiculous to complete, but if this cape is really supposed to represent someone who has totally completed the game why not include them?

The Overall Easiest 99 Skill To Get?

The Overall Easiest 99 Skill To Get?
I think this is it http://forum.tip.it/...mber-1-1201-am/ I took all this from Vulxai since it would probably be better to just continue discussing here rather than bump another old thread. I also updated the 99s that all should be accurate as of today (i found these myself i didn't take from the wiki) #. SKILL - Nov 1 2009 - April 4 2011 1. Runecrafting 2,671 - 9,162 2. Construction 3,181 - 9,836 3. Herblore 3,235 - 17,010 4. Summoning 3,423 - 16,390 5. Mining 3,741 - 18,968 6. Agility 4,061 - 13,820 7. Farming 5,208 - 13,750 8. Smithing 5,654 - 15,867 9. Slayer 6,114 - 17,376 10. Crafting 7,515 -15,979 11. Thieving 11,177 - 26,230 12. Hunter 11,274 - 27,964 13. Prayer 12,753 - 25,636 14. Fishing 21,587 - 58,982 15. Firemaking 32,047 - 69,387 16. Magic 40,321 - 108,132 17. Woodcutting 43,817 - 144,782 18. Ranged 46,848 - 90,480 19. Defence 55,532 - 107,781 20. Hitpoints 68,180 - 127,310 21. Attack 76,971 - 140,382 22. Fletching 82,932 - 134,742 23. Cooking 90,900 - 172,116 24. Strength 107,733 - 197,925 Duneoneering 0 - 8,554 This one did have any data so i added what it currently is at It's pretty crazy how much some of those have grown.

The Overall Easiest 99 Skill To Get?
This Rune Wiki Page should have what you want, and since it's just numbers the wiki should be pretty accurate. Wow that's really surprising. I didn't expect so many people with 99 farming - is it really that easy? Also surprised at mining - didn't think it would be that low. Farming isn't accurate. This picture was just taken. And for anyone too lazy to see what the rs wiki has. Perhaps someone just doesn't like farming

04-Apr-2011- Livid Farm
Doing very rough math is about 3xp (on average) per produce point. Produce points seem to be 20k an hour atm So tht'd imply 60k mage xp an hour. Probably underestimating. Thanks i will be sure to try this out when i get home.

[Real] 01-Apr-2011 - Behind the Scenes - April
Good that you love it, but there is two sides of the coin. Those who like it and those who don't. Why couldn't they make a usual update for players like me and a hidden celebrating update for players like you? And no i am not forced to join it, but i expect content update that's perm, not a temporary one. I never did much of Wild Wyrm neither did i find Haiti useful. But if Jagex workers have day off. Then i have to say that's cool. But that does not mean i support a game where you celebrate irl events like a wedding. But like i said, if workers have day off, you can't expect much updates. So that kinda justifies it. I am sure the rest of the company is working on their updates as well. It's likely some updates were not finished, and they had some empty space in the month so decided to throw that in as the "update". Personally i am amazed they are able to uphold a schedule as they do now. I understand you would like a permanent update that adds the game, but i don't think it's realistic. The amount of development time it takes for some assets or updates is a lot longer than it takes for a player to digest it.

Actually it does not. The wedding update is not a religious update. And so the items of non holiday updates should be usually good. It sounds like it's just stuff that we just put in the storeage of Diango. Stuff that we very rarely use. So your point does not stand. Because a Elite excalibur >from a main update, or a Korasi sword, or a Dragon dagger>>all from main updates and not a religious update is way better than some stuff to "celebrate" a wedding we don't care about. I mean why would i celebrate it? I am happy for them, but why should i celebrate it? Well i suppose that's just your take on the event. Some people, myself included, love taking part in random holidays and events jagex adds it game. It's not like jagex dedicates their entire team to it. From what they have released about past events, it's a developer or two who works on it. Then they get the graphics and audio people to make whatever is needed for it. Why should you celebrate? No one is telling you to, forcing you to, or even making you talk about it. This whole thing is up to you. Which in my opinion, is the greatest part of runescape. Why should you take part in runescape at all? Why should you post on the forums? The answer is because you like it, if you don't like it, don't take part in it. Edit: Also this is not really something new, holiday events have been apart of runescape since the beginning. Now i understand this isn't a "holiday" but i hope you understand how i equate them.

If you are talking about clan camp there will probably be lower levels wasting time for months or years to come. If livid farm is going to be along the lines of herblore habbitat there will be a following as long as the lifespan of the game, or until something better comes out. So just because it doesn't seem promising to you i don't think you should make a conclusion like that until we see how useful/useless it is. I wasn't referring to a piece of content is paricular, but one of those two updates is likely to be how I described. For example, how distraught was the guy who created MA. He must still have nightmares about time wasted. Since the developer is getting paid i guess that money takes the sting away from the "time wasted" lol. And it is likely clan camp won't be used by serious clans, maybe jagexs is just trying to make a more friendly introduction into the clan world. Or they are out of touch with the real clan world, i don't know i am not a part of either. Sorry if i sounded overly critical. To me it seemed he was making a bold conclusion too early, and i felt differently about that. I certainly did not attack him or anything so i don't know why you even brought up not allowing opinions. I was starting discussion in at least the way i felt, a healthy manor.
