A few things I'd like to say really. Triquos, Even if it was in an "In other news..." (I guess I missed this), it doesn't make this post worthless, as it still makes you wonder why they made this decision, no? And to the fact of trying to say that partyhats will crash because they are lendable, and people can just borrow one, it doesn't make them less rare. They're discontinued and maybe they don't leave daily, but over time the supply of them really does cut down bad. Theres also people who still do want them, being an achievement, or for their rarity, etc, so they aren't totally worthless really.

The best option to. However, it can only be temporary. After they level out, they would move far to quickly. Unless Jagex likes and allows that, which is doubtable at this point. It doesn't seem doubtable. Think about it, if bedman is right, and they lowered the trade margins so they can't go down as fast, that must mean they don't want them to crash correct? If they WANTED partyhats low, they would keep the margins high and let it plummet 10 - 20m at a time. This must mean Jagex doesn't want them to crash, no? I'm pretty sure once they level out they'll go up again, and be higher than they used to as well.

z0mg yes its liek another partyhat thread. :o I was looking through the grand exchange more, and I noticed two main things with partyhats. The first is that lately they're all down alot more than they were recently... The second, is the more important one, They only have a 1% margin for high/low offers. The main point I decided to make the thread really, because I can't be the only one wondering this. Every other item has a 5% margin, but each partyhat, and christmas cracker, only have a mere 1% margin. Anyone else trying to figure out what Jagex is up to? 150+m or not, a 1% margin actually cuts the amount of difference down ALOT. (Blue partyhat can only go about 3.5m high/low, it used to be about 19.) Anyone have anything they think?

Exactly. I think the reason they're confused is because everyone thinks its merchanting when its just really a more evil form. Plus manipulating is actually noticable on the econamy.. so it gets everyone going. And EDIT: I think it's because Jagex knows we can do whatever we want with our money. We earned it so we are alloud to spend it as we want. I think these new limits are more of... Idk, Trying to settle it in a "nonviolent" mannor? (Idk if putting it that way makes sense for everyone..)

Well I found this on the RSOF, and havn't seen it mentioned on TIF yet, so I mine as well write: (A note.. I'm pretty sure the last 2 words should say 2 santas, I didn't edit it though, as I decided to leave Prod's original writing) So it seems Jagex really is against these mass merchants. Sure, with a clan of 100+ people you can still get your hands on alot of things, but 10 Godswords is nothing compared to the manipulating power of everyone being able to buy up to 100. Also is it me or does the rares thing seem low? 2 in 4 hours.. thats a really low limit.. I figured it would be the same as weapons/armor really. Same with TT items. So, what does anyone else think about what Jagex is doing here? (EDIT: I also posted this in hidden updates, but I figured I would make a thread about it, as it is alot about the mass merchanting, and not just that its an update)

That's basically the exact same idea me and a couple of friends came up with in school one day. We figured it since it was the end of the 13th cycle, they either: A) Couldn't count higher so gave up. B) Were too busy getting desiesed/and or dying. Sounds probable to me, no?

If mayans were around thousands of years ago, and Leap Years started 46 B.C. (In that area, or that's what I've found on the internet), then wouldn't each leap year make this doomsday 1 day closer than dec 21, 2012? I forget, I did the math and it came out do about 500+ leap years in between that time, thats 500 days sooner... (Idk I think by that theory the math came out to July 26, 2011 or 2010 for it.) Smoking won't relieve stress. Even if the first few times made you feel okay, in the future, if you happened to get addicted, the reprecussions later would cause stress many times higher than right now.

True right here. Think about it. Yu-gi-oh. Pokemon. Digimon. (those 3 off the top of my head). They last what.. 5 yrs max? Now in TCG terms.. look at something like.. MTG? no tv shows.. and its been around forever...

Good luck dude. I used to make random tcg's for fun.. and they really were enjoyable to just sit and doodle/write up. But yes like I said, when making diagrams are probably very important to help you out, and testing is a main key, just because it's like being Quality assurance.. see if everythings going right and what needs tweaking. Hope you have good luck with it, and alot of fun as well :thumbsup:

In all honesty, any TCG will work if it's well thought out. As for feedback, all i can really say is you seem to have thought it through a ton, which is good, but I think the best way to help is draw ALOT of diagrams, and redraw tons of changes, etc. Diagrams help, alot. When you have all the changes, Try printing up 2 decks of it (probably 2 of the same to make it easier, ) and play it with a friend and see if the gameplay works well.. Playing it with decks a few times will be your BEST way to come up with the right changes IMO. EDIT: And about the trying to get published, you can if you keep trying. In addition to the testing 2 decks with a friend, you might want to make multiple decks (like I said before, make prints, they dont even have to be finalized, just rough things of what a card would look like), and have as many friends as you can see it, and see what they think about it, and ask around what anyone thinks. The more people that like it, the better your chances. No, Ill admit it isn't the best advice, however I have no ideas towards the main design (to each is his own, everyone has their own ideas on what it should be like). So ya if you needed any testing advice I was helpful :lol:

Cool. Hard bosses. Sure It'll piss me off to no end when I can't kill one but still.. We need harder monsters. Now I don't think the new quest needs a monster like the Corporeal, but I think it should have some solo boss to make it some real achievement. Up until the corporeal the hardest solo boss was probably Commander Zil, Maybe we need something along the lines of the power of a GWD boss or higher in a quest. And as to the 99 hp, no, they won't increase a player HP cap.. Being able to get 2 hit is just another risk to take to get to your rewards.

Insane shields really.. Although Divine seems all around best (Shaving off 30% from everything is like.. godly.. 75 ags special = around 51 - 52... thats really a big difference.. and then when you look at bosses who hit that high more often..) However I'd perfer an Elysian... 70% chance is often enough, and 25% damage off is a good chunk as well, but no pray drain, which makes it easier imo. However I don't think I'll buy either any time soon.. Just because we all know they're worth a ton for these abilities, and might even get higher, but every new item does this... It'll eventually settle.. and whatever it settles it will probably still be worth it. Even then, I still like godswords.. They're still really fun (to me at least), and theres just something about them that makes me perfer them over a whip.. (ugh whips are ftl and we still have to use them with these shields :wall: ) (Note to any noob who reads this stupidly.. by saying Whip are ftl.. I basically mean I'm tired of using them)

Honestly.. To anyone saying that they shouldn't be posting funorb updates on runescape, I seriously don't blame jagex. Runescape gets many page hits a day. Not every runescape player even knows about funorb. Since jagex owns both sites.. They can put whatever the hell they want on them.. Which basically means free advertising. Kinda why theres a banner on the funorb main to direct to runescape.
