Ran a 5k today in the rain, was reaally muddy (as evidenced by my lackluster time). 17:02 at the 3 mile, 17:34 at the finish. Managed to take 3 guys for the last medal slot (25th place). A guy on our team won it in 16:14; he got a tree (the school has a christmas tree farm to raise money). Not a terrible day overall.

This is awesome.

Gifs can be compressed in gimp by going to the image menu -> mode, then selecting rgb and switching back to indexed to re-index it. In the options, choose "generate an optimum palette" and choose the number of colours you want (less colors means a smaller file size and lower quality). This can be done in Photoshop, though I'm not sure if you can open an animated gif with it. I can check if you want.

Nice, noble. We had cruise intervals today (timed miles with 1 minute rest). Our goal was 5:55 for 5 miles, we hit like 5:30 the first one and almost broke 5 the last one. Overall averaged 5:48. Our school has a system of "rambucks" (our mascot), and teachers are supposed to hand out one to students who show they're responsible or some other crap. At the end of the week you can enter in a raffle for prizes like free parking spots (normally they're $100) and random gift cards. My coach is giving me 25 if I break 16 in a race, lol.

First race of the season was a 16:59. Not terrible, but I definitely could have ran better. Next race I want to actually stay with the next guy on our team, who ran about 16:30.

Nice! I'm a rock climber, so we do stuff like this all the time. I should really get back into routine though (I've been lazy over the summer). I have one of these next to the computer for when I'm waiting for something to load or doing semi-afkable tasks in RS. :thumbup:

Lighthouse dag task=15 minutes MAX. The CR lasts longer then 10 hours, easily. So its more like 10k for dags, if that. I am still undecided what my 2nd purchase will be. Considering CLS, but I don't know. Crossbow is nice, and I do TD a bit, as well as DKS, besides a little arma, but by far I melee. 15 minutes x the number of dagganoth attacking you = degradation for your Rapier. It'd easily be an hour's worth, possibly more than 2 if the lighthouse is fairly empty.

If you're in class, I'd strongly recommend checking if you can get any kind of student deal - a new (not an upgrade) Photoshop CS5 runs $699. However, ordering a download is possible here (not sure if you'd be able to apply the student discount this way). Just click buy and select download for delivery method. Especially if you're just messing around with it, I'd recommend a free image-manipulation program such as GIMP to start. CS5 does have some awesome features, but it's not worth it unless you're seriously contemplating a career.
