Sorry, your post is entirely true and has very good points, that just made me laugh really loud. Maybe you meant something else though.

While I agree burglars can be dangerous, that's a cowardly plan. If somebody breaks into my house, he's not even taking the mat without a fight, even if it means I get a bleeding nose. Most burglars aren't stupid enough to kill somebody to steal something worth a few thousand dollars and potentially end up in jail for over 10-20 years. It's not worth it. Also, I'd say you should always have a weapon ready even without training. Just because the person is aggressive or "lawless", he's still a human and if he breaks into my house I have the right to shoot him in his gun arm so that he can't threaten me. If we talk about a very highly detailed robbery and the robbers have armor and very powerful automatic weapons, then it would be stupid to do anything contrary to what they say. What the heck can you do in that situation? Nothing, but then again that kind of robbers don't waste their time on robbing average houses, they go for the bigger fish.

The thing is that Andrew Gower started literally developing the game out of his college dorm room, he made it so that anybody with a web browser could play the game. That's the core principle of RS, making it easily accessible from anywhere in the world without huge downloads. (Actually, Andrew first made the game just for himself and his closest friends, but the word spread) If you were to give the development of RS to, say Microsoft, they would start coding it in a programming language such as C++, and you obviously can't run executables on a website. It would become just another MMORPG with a huge download, sluggish patches and much more bugs. Java does have it's limitations though, and maybe in a few years the graphics will look so bad in comparison people will start demanding they change over to a more advanced programming language. (But hey, people still play Doom 1 online and it's 2006?) And possibly in the future everybody has a very high speed connection to the internet (I'm talking about the really fast lines they have in South Korea- personal users with up to 55mbps) that everybody can download a 500mb game in a few minutes, about the time it takes to load RS the first time you play.

Hah, I was checking out stuff on http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html#winspeed Actually, Opera is the fastest browser out there. 8-) And while FireFox has greater functionality than IE, it's slower.

Yep, it's the correct phrase. Contrary to popular belief it also does not mean "dog edits dog", the romans would have no idea about that.

Yeah, now that's the spirit for starting a weekend. 8-) Also, nobody has ever even attempted to break into anybody's house in our neighbourhood, so I don't really care about shutting my windows even if it's 2.am and pitch dark. The only lame thing is that I was just watching 'The Grudge' with my friend (not on the computer, a plasma), and being the sissy he is, he said "shouldn't we watch this when it's like.. Less dark". How about no, that would ruin the movie  He almost p* his pants. Ok, maybe not but I just wrote that because he sees what I type and now I'll hit submit and there's nothing he can do agsdg43bout itygdssd

I can't even bring myself to playfully hit a girl.. On topic.. I believe men and women should have equal rights. Of course men and women can't be equal physically, but we can't change that. For true equality, cultural norms would also have to be severely altered. Why is it accepted since the times of renaissance, that a woman may slap a man really hard on the face but a man can't? It's cultural, at least in Europe. Why in other countries, women could be put to death for slapping a man? Cultural differences. There is no one "true" culture, I think the best way is to just be neutral, i.e. in this case, nobody should be "allowed" to hit anybody.

Good food? Great streets? Great music? Famous historic areas? Go Red Sox I think "good food" is overrated. 8-) It isn't dependent on any city, because in todays world, you can go to any major city and eat almost anything you can think about from squid crackers and sushi to american beef steak, fries, noodle soup, chinese chicken wok... So unless there are really awesome restaurants in a city (to my mind springs Tokyo which has really awesome restaurants), it shouldn't be used to rank the city. The other 3 you mentioned are very good criterias though.

Sure, like mentioned above, there will probably never be absolute gender equality. Like, now women don't have to go to the army in any country, men do. Both women and men are usually buying tickets to sport games played by men rather than women (but it's getting more common to go watch games played by women). In politics, I'd have to disagree with you. Especially when women get older, they start being more and more rational and their decisions are less based on the emotional hormones of a 20-40 year old. And even then, there are a lot of "tough" women in any age group who can do a good job at being for example a senator or a president. Plus, it sets a good example for less democratic countries where women can't even VOTE, which in my opinion is ridiculous because they're citizens. They will be amazed to see that a woman can even lead a country and see that country can still thrive economically.

Yes, good ol' Belgarath could do that, but also mentioned it to be extremely NOT DONE... DragonLance? Sorry if my memory failed me, I just recall the character Belgarath from that book series very clearly. I read maybe 1 or 2 of those books, they were pretty entertaining and well written. And since you would have to choose between immortality and invulnerability, actually the best way to dominate the world is time manipulation. You could go a thousand years ahead in time and only age a few seconds. Just think of the financial opportunities, by that alone you could own the world and ruin the entire economy by going back and forth in time. 8-)

In a belief system ... it's perfectly logical It's only logical as per your belief. Just because you believe something (which can't be proven) does not make it "real", it makes it your personal belief (and there's nothing wrong with that - as long as you don't state is as a fact but your belief).

I didn't find a form for submitting a report to the CIA at first, but it seems there is one. It's here. https://www.cia.gov/cgi-bin/arp_form.cgi

Is that a death threat to our beloved president mr. bush? There are hundreds of leaders in the world. Why would he specifically mean Mr. Bush? Maybe your authoritarian mindset is telling you the FBI is watching everything we do, eat, listen to, and write online. Let me make it clear to you I have plans to detonate several remote Mk 77 napalm bombs in the next few weeks with the objective of killing Mr. Bush. I also have a supply of anthrax and nerve gas from North Korea and do not hesitate to use them on the american public. I also hate Mc Donalds and listen to Green Day. If you wish, you can submit your crime report to the official FBI site which is at https://complaint.ic3.gov/Default.aspx and inform them.

That's an exceptionally good example, because in this case, that person makes all the difference in the world when the congress votes for new laws. Actually, he is the most powerful person in the senate because he's not bound by a party. Why? In matters where either the republican or democrat party strictly votes for propositions of their own party, he can jump on either side and pass the law/stop it from passing (since 50-50 is not enough to pass a law). I never thought about that. ...Hence he said, world peace. :P It's not the same thing as a single country, the world consists of almost 200 countries.

I honestly get offended when people assume everyone is lying, sure, some people could be exaggerating, but I for one have no reason to lie on something so trivial as weight and height. Who's to say anyone's lying, this is the internet you can write what you like, and no one can prove against it if they do not know you in person. Hence there is no need to accuse everyone is lying, you have no evidence for or against that argument. I on the other hand am worried about so many people being underweight. At 16 I was like 190 pounds, and I was almost bony, well not quite, but almost. But people have different physiques.

I never make a post purely based on somebody's bad grammar, I don't even mention it at all. But...Then there is the occassional post (even here on tip.it) that is SO horribly written you simply can't understand what the person is saying. The thread loses it's meaning and becomes a contest of who has the best intepretation, and people start flaming each other about what the original poster meant.

It figured out the average l33t speaking online gamer, I love this program.

Ultimate physical invulnerability is almost the only way to dominate the world, because you could threaten every politician in the world and if they wouldn't agree, just kill them, and their bodyguards or police can't do squat. But even then, an army could just make an aerial attack on you and dump a huge concrete cage on you and you couldn't escape. Thus you'd also need unlimited physical strength, so I'd take that with fries please.

Yeah, that's one of the best movies. It deserves it's good spot on the Imdb top list. I'd recommend it to anybody (especially if you liked Prison Break). Prison Break is also a good series, it's a breath of fresh air amongst the crap airing on television these days. I'm still watching episodes of the 1st season though so can't really comment on Maybe you're right. Then again, maybe in the distant future, even the series "Lost" will retain it's name even if all the characters found their way out to Los Angeles and started a life of partying to compensate for the "lost" years of their life.

That, and the following: Why would so many people want to live a happy life, only to know that "heck, I don't care, as long as I can drive my SUVs, have grill parties and use massive cooling systems. Let my kids deal with a crappier life after I die with all the floods and energy shortages and whatnot"

Answering to the obvious personal provocation, I'd like you to address the following questions: 1. Why do you still think somebody personally called you an idiot? Or do you fail to see the difference between "idiotic thinking" which is criticism and "idiot" which is an insult? 2. Why'd you think I'm an atheist or hate spirituality because I neither am an atheist nor hate spirituality? 3. Why do you still insist evolution is about "humans evolved from apes" (because they didn't)? How about reading the facts about evolution before you come up with your own theories, just like I spent a lot of time reading the Bible, Qur'an etc. to make sure I don't sound like a moron? 4. Why do you think proof has something to do with my 10th grade teacher (who did not even teach me anything about biological evolution) 5. Do you dismiss all logical proof in favor of a purely biased theological answer to everything you doubt, like evolution? Do you dismiss all the schoolbooks, studies made on evolution, the hundreds of thousands of books and publications on evolution, and just discard it all without even reading a few pages of obvious evidence?

That's just your belief, we don't know if there is really a God or not. Some people believe there are many deities. Some believe divinity is everywhere in nature. You can't state something personal as a universal fact. It's a magnificent example, but in the field of spirituality, you can't have similar "experience" as a mechanic or a chef has. No matter how much you meditate or research theologic texts, you cannot be sure of God's existence. It always takes blind faith to believe in such a concept as "God" because it is man made and you rely on man made and written information instead of directly communicating with God (whether they are voices within ones head are subject to speculation) I never understood why people have trouble understanding this concept. No matter how religious or unreligious you are, why can't the two work together? At least on this forum, if there is an atheist, he dismisses all theology. A theologist will dismiss science as "fake", which is ridiculous. Sure, science is logical but if you are to assume a God exists, why is it impossible that God created evolution for example?

No, it can actually be a blessing. It saved me from obesity in my teen years when I didn't give a crap about what I was eating. I'd eat french fries and hamburgers and pizza almost daily, and yet maintain a normal weight. One thing metabolism doesn't stop is acne. Eat too much grease and acne is guaranteed, which is one good reason to stay away from excessive eating of junk food. When I finally realized that at like 16, I had literally no acne by the time of my 17th birthday. And yes, reading posts about food when you're hungry is bad. I bet I'm even hungrier than you are right now. 8-) If you're hungry, eat. Simple as that.

Basically a republic is spilt into municipalities/districts. These districts each send a representaive to a senate/congress to vote for the people. A democracy is basically where the everyone in the country participates, like general elections and stuff. The US is supposed to be a Representative Democracy; a combination of both True, representative democracy is the correct word. Not only is direct democracy like that of ancient Greece with it's popular assemblies nearly impossible today, with the sheer amount of decisions to be made, it would be very costly to ask the people about every single thing they may not even have enough information about.

I've had this problem for all my life, and when I first started bodybuilding at 16, it almost proved impossible because even if I was eating the proper amount of calories, I'd still be hungry as heck. At 6'4 and about 190 pounds, that's 3k calories a day. One thing you can do is to not eat white bread. It has tons of unnecessary carbohydrates, whole-grain bread also keeps hunger away much better. Also, you just ate 1 potato. That's nothing, if possible, try ordering more. I rarely eat baked potato (actually, boiled) but if I do, it's more like 5 or 6 along with about 0.6lbs of meat or fish.
