"not ready to make nice" the true meaning
BlueLancer replied to andufusthebronze's topic in Off-Topic
It's ok, I just wanted you to quote the monkey. -
Haha, nothing wrong with learning. 8-) What I meant was this part of your post: I mean.. Unless you give us the link it will be kind of hard to compare. ---- I also finally got a chance to ask this... Am I the only person typing BBCode tags by hand and finding it faster than pressing the buttons?! Or am I just mad... I've been doing that since ages ago. I just did that with the above quote too, and the former underline.

I haven't looked at the keyboard for years, to be honest. Still I don't get the point of your post, you might've just as well included the link for that test.. :) Edit- I'll post below.

The misconception about God is that he is like a 'grandfather in the sky' type figure. How can it be a 'misconception' if you haven't seen him personally? I think if he exists, he is a huge guy with a white beard, a staff and a shining white cloak, and angry eyes. Kind of like Zeus, but instead of thunderstorms he prefers throwing down floods when he's angry or bored. He's probably laughing at my post, but I don't really care. For all I care bring on the plague.

Please elaborate what are these "[bleep]"s. It seems the tip.it censor is going nuts. Some people are still in denial and laugh, make theories and joke about his death, you'll see the suicide statistics skyrocket next year when they find out Dumbledore is just that, dead.

"not ready to make nice" the true meaning

Tigra has firsthand experience, so that counts. Stereotypes may not be accurate sometimes but I've yet to travel to a *really* 'southern' town and see how it is. P.S. I felt compelled to post this after reading Tigra's post. It may have been insulting, but it was funny. -
That's an o.k plan, but you really do have to watch what you eat. Calculate your calories and your consumption at a site like this and compare it to the amount you eat daily. If you take in more calories than you consume, you will be gaining more weight despite your training. http://www.stevenscreek.com/goodies/calories.shtml I almost jumped in a wrong conclusion, but then I saw you meant increase in cardio endurance, not weightloss. :) But for weightloss, the ideal heart rate is is 90-120bpm for a period of 30 minutes. I have a difficult time maintaining that though, I always go far over that but then again I prefer gym+diet over constant cardio that can without exercise shrink your muscles instead of growing them.

Texas: You just can't make this stuff up anymore.

Wait...are you saying 'legally' blind people can see? So I guess my uncle is illegally blind because he cannot see at all? I think he's confused. 'Visually impaired' is a different legal category than blindness. They don't count as the same. Visually impaired means you can still see something. Hearing impaired is not the same as deaf either. -
Some effective ab excercises to do without equipment: Reverse crunch: Lie on the floor and place your hands behind your neck. Bring your legs, close together, near your chest. Curl your hips off the floor, lower, repeat 5-20 times. The feeling of burn will be great, and will strengthten your abs. Leg crunch: Lie on the floor and extend your legs upwards. Lift your shoulders off the floor and hold the position for a few seconds. Repeat 5-10 times. The rest I can't give advice for, because it's hard (or actually nearly impossible) to build muscle mass without training equipment, especially if you need it in your arms or chest/legs. P.S. The above excercises will not make you have a sixpack if you train long enough. It wont even burn a noticeable amount of fat, it will just strengthten your abs. If you want visible muscles, the only way is to have a proper diet and cut out crap like chocolate and candies. I'm waiting for a bright guy to come on this topic and claim otherwise. You can't lose weight around your abs, you can only lose weight. No matter what the shopping network TV may tell you, it's not possible to 'target' weightloss by for example working out a single area. At about 8-11% bodyfat (25+ is considered obese and 15-17 is about the average for a male) you will have visible muscles, which can boost your motivation to grow them bigger. If you have a layer of pudding covering your abs, the only way you can make them visible is diet.

Those are not MMORPG's. Those are strategy games. Most decent MMORPG's are coded in C++. Coding in C++ is no more 'longer or tedious' than java coding, games programmed with it just usually have heavier graphics. If you have a good graphics team, even those wont be a problem.

As long as everyone actually follows them, they do. People are just ignorant and and don't realize that if everyone did follow the laws, there would be no problems. That's true, but as you know most humans aren't mindless robots and many of them are greedy. When a few start breaking the rules and obtain profit and benefits for it without proper punishment, it will encourage more people to do so. In reality laws are useless, the only thing that matters is how hard they are enforced. In this case, young people may not be greedy but when they see their underage friends driving even though it's illegal, they will be faced with the question "why can't I, then?". You know, there's no reward for obeying the law, and the police don't have resources to stop millions of cars in Ontario just to check the ID's of every driver just in case they're 17 or 16. This law is useless because it is too hard to enforce.

Some things I wanted to comment :) Sun rises in the East, sets in the West. ..But what has that to do with firemaking. Chances are if you make fire, it doesn't know about the whereabouts of the sun. RS is still after all a game coded in Java, it's very easy to code only a few exclusive items to have that option, just like not all normal, unedible, un-equipable objects have the "read" option of a book or manual. They just decided not to do it, probably because they were busy with more important things. -
Do your friends laugh at u for playing rs?
BlueLancer replied to lordbigchang's topic in General Discussion
Most people will think you're a 'geek' for playing RS, if they don't play it. Once when I was walking home from a movie theatre, I turned on the street that leads to my home. It was dark. Some gangsters in leather coats asked me if I played runescape. I said yes, I'm over level 100 and I post on the game forums and they took out baseball bats and iron knuckles and beat me to a pulp. Then a stray cat urinated in my wounds, it burned. I tried to pick up my fallen cellphone but a truck drove over it and the driver threw a lit cigarette on my face and a hobo quickly stole my wallet. Therefore I'd say playing runescape is not only loathed but is also very dangerous. -

Remove double post..! -
And you're really taking it out of context. He doesn't really sound, especially after reading that post, like he's trying to "brag". I still read the whole post, but instead of quoting the whole thing, I just quoted the one sentence. While I may have taken it out of context, it still sounded to me like he's bragging. Almost every sentence in his post has something to do with how popular he is, with a small side of how his parents feel, and how it's hard being popular. He doesn't need to brag, he's cool and popular.

Maybe they live in towns of 10000 without busses :uhh: There are towns of less than 5,000 with buses. Even most towns with a population of less than 300 have bus connections. I live in a town of 9,000 with no bus. Ontario, too. Ride a donkey, or a giraffe if canadians have those.

You understood it wrong, the law makes it so that their licenses will be delayed: http://www.cbc.ca/news/viewpoint/yoursp ... opout.html Not really that big of a problem in my opinion, in most countries of the world you have to be 18 to drive anyways. It's not a 'god given right'. Elsewhere in the world kids age 16-17 take a bus. And if you had a license before that, they wont take it away.

I'm buying the movie or video game rights for the title of this thread. Pure genius for a gunfighting game. And at all the people claiming a fictional character is "not dead", and at Rowling for the comment "he's not going to pull off a Gandalf". Haha. Maybe if he will be reborn as 'Dumbledore the black' played by Dave Chappelle in a fake beard with harlem gang slang, I'd pay $50 to see that movie.

You really, really sound like you're mostly just bragging to me. And you're really taking it out of context. He doesn't really sound, especially after reading that post, like he's trying to "brag".

defining/catagorizing people, right or wrong?

^^ ThoseTheBrokes - tell your friend that 18 is a silly time to kill himself, because from 18 onwards it starts getting better. I'm not saying that it will be perfect, but school is so pathetic, and you don't realise it until you get out of there. Exactly, you haven't even seen what life is if all you've been doing is go to school and home and to some hobby. After school, you really start to experience 'life'. Also, rushrock, I replied to your private message. It wasn't aimed at you, I'm using 'you' just in that context to apply to all close minded people. -
Yeah, I have the same problem and wikipedia doesn't explain that. My heritage is half scandinavian and half south-european but intolerance occurs in neither half of my family. Also, (I'm not sure which country you're from, always thought you're Czech judging from the little flag in your avatar) the statistics don't mention a whole lot of other people, like those living in the middle-east, russia, etc. who also consume lots of dairy products. Edit- lol, I'm blind. The flag in your avatar resembles the czech one but in inverse colors. Sorry. Not sure where you're from.

Am I taking this out of context? Because, I really don't think most people in the world are lactose intolerant. Most people in the world are lactose intolerant. The rare gene that allows adults to digest milk mostly exists in nordic countries and a small part of other northern europe. (And USA due to obvious reasons, people may have heritage from northern Europe) Elsewhere in the world such a gene doesn't exist and the adults natively born in a country that is not north european will have a gag reflex/not be able to digest the lactose. But even some lactose intolerant persons can drink up to about one glass of milk without severe symptoms per 1 day. There are also some populations though which have long traditions of drinking milk and the percentage of intolerants is fairly lower than that of, say China (93%). For example, some african populations have 20% intolerance rate, whereas others have near 100%.

sounds yummy : well i finished my milk.... and now my stomache hurts :? I don't think its gonna be worth it :( Ya know food poisoning can send you to the hospital if its really bad... Most people in the world are lactose intolerant which means they can't even drink milk at all. But you wont get a 'food poisoning'. Also, My_Eggs, if/when you get up there, could you please tell god I need the damn money already I asked for weeks ago. I'm missing a great investment just because I'm lacking a bit in cash. Otherwise I'm starting to pray for Brahma or Thor.
