As much as people want peace and hugs and kisses here
BlueLancer replied to Faux's topic in Off-Topic
I know at least something about his leaving, since he messaged me before leaving and IMO it's not that big of a problem really. But if you're his brother you probably know the whole story so I'm not one to judge. Exactly. Why do some people take things dead seriously here? I too realised this a long time ago and tried switching to monty python style absurd posts, and an occassional funny post, but this has mainly led me into trouble, especially recently (wont discuss in details) due to HUGE misunderstandings. The huge misunderstanding is not understanding the off topic forum for one can't survive for long unless it involves at least a bit of spam and un-political correctness. A lot of debates have been kicked to death like a ragged horse. Most 'what's your favourites' have been done. The forum *needs* some spice to be entertaining. We're not here to be stone faced. The forum is for talking and above all, entertainment. (Though, there's no need to insult a specific person) -
You must live in ... :P That's not exactly the best possible advice in today's world. Exactly. It's not really a 'belief', but knowledge that if you work towards it, you can achieve it. You don't "need" faith and hope to live. If you know how to achieve your goals, you work towards them and achieve them, instead of just hoping that a lottery ticket will one day fly in front of you and you hit the jackpot.

While it would be effective, todays kids are too self-conscious. They'd start suing schools with the help of their parents for abuse and win cases. They could also refuse to go to school. But I agree about the 'wannabe gangsters'. I mean, unless your car is *really* nice.. I'm talking about Ferrari 360 Modena Spider nice, nobody wants to see you in your lousy -88 Toyota listening to Tupac, shattering everybody's ears. And the people with nice cars don't do that, just the wannabe's.

England: Always raining. Italy: People only eat spaghetti and pizza. France: Everybody is a misunderstood poet sitting in the rain with melancholic harmonica music in the background. Austria: Slightly racist. Tons of nice buildings Germany: Over-emphasized accents, lederhosen, beer and over-positive folk music. Nordic countries: Very cold, always rank 1st in all worldwide education and living standard tests and have superior social and healthcare. What are they doing that others aren't? Ireland, Scotland, Wales: Sheep and dung. Especially english people prefer thinking so. Greece: Olive salad and temples. Balkan countries: They just never seem to agree with each other. Very nice landscapes and beach areas. Spain: Hot climate, nice beaches, some deserts, epic kill-bill style banjo music and parties. Keep in mind they're mostly stereotypes, people, so don't be too offended... :P

It is intolerant, however I'll stop arguing about it since I agree with tripsis, that's not the point of the thread. Though, you are again arguing something about 'God' (i.e. he's intelligent) which you can't know for sure. And a God surely could fly, but I realise this is getting off topic.

I didn't know it was his birthday!! Happy Birthday Stan!! Well, it actually wouldn't be, because in Bulgaria/London it is already tomorrow. I'm talking to you you idiot! Notice the 77 after his name. I'm giving you a picture of him. O...it's not my birthday BTW and besides that, I do know what you meant, but you should've said 'surprise!' Well, at least in New England, when we do something nice for someone else, sometimes we'll say Happy Birthday. Because people are nice to you on your birthday...I guess. Maybe they don't say that stuff where you live. I guess that's just a local thing... :P Not many people get it. Especially in certain parts of USA, you'd rather get shot in the face on your birthday for the sake of your wallet than be congratulated.

I can remotely remember "nightmare mode" with all those weird pink demons and other monsters spawning up all the time. At least that, unlike most games today, took some serious balls to even attempt. None of this 'checkpoint every 5 seconds' b.s., and no cheats available. Even though old games generally don't have great graphics, I'm starting to realise how awesome they are in design and gameplay value. It would actually take *real* skill and good reflexes to beat Doom on NM.

Does IDDQD ring a bell, doom fans... :P

Sorry for the spam, but I just want to say that I laughed when I read it. >.> rocketman089, the thing is flying spaghetti monster does exist actually, so stop trying to deny it. They have charts to prove it. Oh. You're so funny. You fail to see the funniness you're creating by loathing my opinion, thinking of your imaginary buddy as more real than mine. Except mine *has* charts. And no, the number of followers doesn't matter. A religion isn't more credible if it has lots of followers. Otherwise, go tell all the members of religions with 0.5% or less followers they'll all burn in hell. They can be just as correct as I am. Islam and hinduism by the way already have more followers than christianity, not to mention the buddhists, taoists, etc. so their odds of 'being right' are good as well. You don't need to come back with a rebuttal, because you can't prove your beliefs because they're beliefs. Ok, so I may not prove my FSM either, but I can try to figure out something from the evidence and hope for the best, and read His philosophy. And heaven help if I'm correct, my heaven has beer volcanos.

So respect didn't exist back hundreds of years ago when most people didn't even have a 'teacher' or a 'boss' in the sense we think of it? Respect is a simple concept of life. You can respect a teacher without submitting to his will. You can respect a boss, well, this is a different issue though. If you don't like doing what he tells you, start a business of your own or do something else for money. After all, a boss is simply someone who didn't want to work for somebody else but created his own company. Teaching *was* like that, just that it was 2000 years ago in ancient greece and the guys were philosophers. Teachers today don't have that kind of time or necessarily intellectual/moral/ethical insight, and even if they're wrong, students can't usually point this out without fearing punishment. That's wrong, but just suck it up until you get a degree and can work somewhere.

But that armadillo is so... Intimidating :( I can imagine it looking all sad, but if you pet it, it's eyes will enlarge and it will bite off your finger and make squeeking noises. P.S. obviously people, remove the broken tab from the link to see the picture...

haha even though judaism was the 1st religon (or at least older than christians) Roman/egyptian/zoroastrian/eastern organised religions.. So are you claiming they didn't exist :P They existed for thousands of years before that. But it has had, at the least, political influence amongst others.

I agree. I'll compensate my rudeness by contributing to the thread. You can't "not" like it!

I already have a regular one, but I can't put her in a box so that's a minus. Haven't tried a collar yet, maybe I'll exchange her for some household helpers (slaves, if you will) and cattle on the market next trading season.

You may have been, his signatures were 99% similar to yours. :) I read some of his old posts and he said he's coming back on 1.1.2007 due to business. I don't know any other italians really.

Dogs are exceptionally loyal animals which has made me think since I was a kid. Unlike wives, they don't whine when you drink beer. They don't ask where you were last night. You can put them in a box if they annoy you. They don't want jewelry. They know when to shut up and they wont be correcting your stories. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion wives are useless, but can often cook well. Dogs make better companions in the long run.

I don't actually know many italian tip.it'ers besides Silv. One good player/poster from Italy was 'Greenminer' but he quit posting a long time ago. I'm quite sure there are hundreds of them though, just not that active... RS has millions of players, I'd say at least a few hundred/thousand come from each EU country.

 !! That's a mean post...

what other forums do you use??~(apart from off topic)
BlueLancer replied to andufusthebronze's topic in Off-Topic
You're an IGN mod? *whistle* Impressive, thats a massive forum with a lot of resources. Anyway, Off Topic is where it's at for Tip.it Other sites? Laser Community - Green laser pointer forums. You, know, the lasers that can burn through stuff? Found the site when I bought mine, the whole place is full of physicists and such so it's a nice place to read topics about galaxies and the like (or talk about the laser's themselves!) Nope, not anymore hence the 'been'. They now prefer people who can spend way more time than appropriate for a forum, for moderating, but that's ok and I understand since the forum has gotten huge by now and I do realise they are also listed in a stock exchange (so they need to keep up a very professional image) By the way, what's special about darkwebz? So many people here seem to use it. -

You must be confused victor. :P Numbers cannot be used in top-level domains. Dk3 was the service provider, and as pointed out, .com was obviously the TLD.

myspace is the DEVIL!!!    but seriously, if you didnt look like an emo in your picture, people wouldnt judge you as such, people are ignorant beings who judge anything and dont care how you feel if they do. there ends the lesson. Myspace is the DEVIL. I hate it. Kids at our school fight over Top 8 and all that. It's actually pretty funny. Plus, I hope they get sexually solicited. I know one girl in our school who gets called by a MySpace stranger. :D I've called a few members of TIF, does that make me a sexual predator? Yes. I bet you rob houses too.

That would be the combo of their names I believe. Actually, a lot of those people were involved in smithing/mining the first 'high level' bars/ores in runescape, for example Hitman X had the capability to mine adamantite at an astonishingly early phase of the game, Bluerose went on to be the first rune smith, and Kibble was a very succesful miner for his day. The OP asked how tip.it became popular. Well, this was the first fansite, and it got mentions on the runescape.com site often (the site did have it's own forums even back then, but were removed for over 4 years). Staff like Andrew and Paul posted often on the older tip.it forums, but as the game grew more popular and increasingly professional in nature, their posts started decreasing. There have been at least 4 forums here: One on tip.it, one on runetipit.board.dk3.com, one on scapeboard.com, and finally, forum.tip.it.

If I had been brainwashed since birth to believe all planets orbit around the Earth (like the Bible kindly enlightens us to be the case), but you walked up to me with proof otherwise, would I resist? Yes. After you presented the proof, would I still resist? No, I'd understand I was wrong and the planets do indeed orbit around the sun. God, on the other hand, cannot even be proven to exist in the first place. We only have items and scriptures written by humans, not a holy radiating diamond in a lush garden that upon touching shows your mind how God created the world in seven days. Without proof that's no less a tale than the Grimm brothers adventures. The Bible makes so many outlandish claims and supernatural events occur in it, which are not physically possible. And there have been thousands of other 'supernatural' stories told during history about great sacrifices, sons of gods and the creation of the world, which are just that, stories. During Jesus's birth, nobody believed in that 'creation' story. People change their views, but it still doesn't change the fact that most likely none of these 'supernatural' events ever took place.
