Seems like a kind of pretentious, preaching thread to me for being in the off topic section, you could post it in the Varrock Library... But since you just posted lyrics by "Nichole Nordeman" from the song 'Brave' I'd say this post is kind of useless.

Well, there's no particular thing I want to "be", when I'm "older", other than being healthy. I would also possibly like to run a branch of the sicilian mafia before retiring.

Pledging your allegiance to a country and a 'God' you may not even believe in (not all americans are christians, you know) is not the same as refusing to read a book which is meant to be entertainment and for all I care, could include dragons, witchcraft, flying broomsticks, satanic demons, possession and exorcism. Just because your child read about a small boy casting a blizzard on an evil witch does not mean he will lose his motivation in school and concentrate on casting thunderbolts instead. Or if he does, you have failed as a parent.

Why promise to do something just because it's "new year"? Do stuff when you want to, because you wont live twice. Chances are, most people can't even keep their promises like "I will lose 20 pounds of weight" or "I'll travel around the world". If you want to stop smoking, stop it now, not so that you have an excuse to still smoke until the 31st of Dec 2006, and then again slip away. Commitments stay no matter what the year is.

Black Dragon Knights (bdk), which is one of the earliest clans and it had Zonghui, etc. in it. I can easily say it was a better clan than Excs (and during it's existence, *very* powerful), which was founded much later as well.

i heard that too, a mod told my friend theres only 1 if i had it id tell every1 if that doesnt exist probly money not much of that these days Read back a few pages. Not even a Jagex mod can wear something that does not exist in the RS item database that has been checked with a hex editor. It's a myth.

Why do people believe Santa exists? And hypothetically, if he does, why is he so mean? I guess it's fair to assume he exists and tell kids that's the case, and portray him as a friendly character in movies... Why he only brings present to spoiled, western children who already have everything plus more and are whining about not getting their upgraded 40gb iPod, instead of kids in third world countries who are starving to death and would appreciate a bit of candy and a doll is beyond my understanding though!

That's because in an interview, one of the band players did say they get huge influences from old video games (street fighter had exactly that kind of 'cheesy' metal on occasions). :P I heard about DragonForce maybe a year ago, when I was looking for new stuff to listen to. They had maybe 3 or 4 decent songs but I could never finish albums like Valley of the Damned. (Just try listening to the song 'Black fire' 3 times in a row without falling asleep in between of the like... 2 minute semi-monotonous solos) Some of the stuff is just too boring to listen to or sound a little.. 'Hippie'. But at least they have positive lyrics. :) If you're a real geek for Dungeons and Dragons and that sort of stuff, you'd love this band though.

this might sound like another posted topic:white death metal
BlueLancer replied to guss's topic in Music, Movies & Television
You know, christianity is not the only religion. Therefore it will never be officially labeled as "white metal" which sounds biased. Are other metal genres blue or yellow metal then? There is christian death metal, if you want to use that official term/label. :) Or just 'christian metal', which is metal with christianity-related lyrics (often). -
Ikea is huge. He gets personal cheques worth hundreds of millions yearly just for the franchising costs he charges those chains, and probably a salary for being the chairman of the company. Of course he will earn more than a guy who owns even 20 hotels. :P And even if Ikea sold nothing for the whole year, he loses out on nothing. Ikeas don't channel all of their profits into a single bank account, the franchisers get to keep a lions share, as long as they send the annual payment to the papa.

Pillswitch E. Not sure if anybody gets the pun on old people and the emo band though. Saw him randomly and I thought it was great.

ITT Runescape have screen resolution settings.
BlueLancer replied to Scudman126's topic in General Discussion
The positive thing is that the frame rate seems to be higher with a higher resolution, doesn't help much though if you can't even read what other people are saying. They could make a bigger game window for different resolutions, the graphics would look very grainy though. I remember playing RSC years ago on a 640x480 resolution, it barely even resembled an old nintendo game of the 1980's. Yes, and it hurts my eyes as well. Probably not going under anything that's less than 1024x resolution for the rest of my life, and I think most people, too, are by now accustomed to higher resolutions. -
ITT Runescape have screen resolution settings.
BlueLancer replied to Scudman126's topic in General Discussion
I just tried a solution for you by running the game in the Opera browser and trying to make the screen bigger by 300%, doesn't work. It will just enlarge the other images but not the java applet itself. Your best shot would be lowering your resolution while playing RS. I haven't played for ages, but I just tested it with my regular 1920x1080 resolution, even denser than yours, it's so small I wouldn't even bother reading any of the text the java applet shows. Naturally, you change by: 8-) Desktop - > Right click -> Properties - > Settings tab. -
Post count isn't really an indicator of anything, but never download stuff by guys that have joined a few days ago and only have a few posts and nothing to lose or risk. The "game" by that guy acidbear does contain a trojan and a keylogger, download AVG Antivirus and Ad-Aware to keep your computer clean. Also try looking for SpyBot if you need further protection. If you think the trojan may be still running, google for a program called "HiJackThis". It will show even hidden [Caution: Executable File]s running or binded to .dll's and notify you if they're suspicious. That guy is despicable and so un-transparent, his 'friendly' posts where he tried to sneak the URL in were actually pretty obvious now that I think of it. 1. It may have happened to you, hence you've turned into a scammer. From an observative viewpoint, I think it's very true, that's the only time you've ever used Caps Lock on these forums, a subconscious trail? You *were* scammed. That doesn't justify YOUR scamming. 2. He doesn't owe you 10m, you're just trying to get him to talk to you on MSN. 3. That's your email, Teddy isn't your real name, and he's not "your friend". It's you. Bad psychological trick to try to play a 'friendly guy' going by the name of 'teddy', with the object of having an affectionate nickname prompting a positive first impression. 4. You wont teach him how to get rid of it, you'll send him a 'virus cleaner' which is the same executable as the one on your site. So much for thinking your plan is undestructable. I've dealt with tons of guys like you, and when I ask them 'why', they say "I was scammed so why can't I too".

Why is he chasing a leg?

I don't want any elementary school science fair grade polonium man! Vladimir Putin hand-delivers mine! That's so dumb. I'm wondering, would they really accept larger orders and could they ship it legally? A million dollars is nothing for thousands of dangerous people in the world. Polonium is an extremely lethal radiating substance as you'd obviously figure out.

Jagex will make the house win every time lol No house in Texas Hold'em, lol. You play against other players which means Jagex has no advantage, somebody must always win (and it can't be the dealer because he doesn't play). Unless there is a GP fee to play the games.

It's certainly not "illegal" to multi task, and nor is it against the Jagex rules. I think the term you're looking for is "AFK train." This usually consists of your character killing monsters that always attack you while wearing Guthans. In the meantime, the person in control of the account places a heavy object on the keyboard so they stay logged in and then they go do something else (i.e. watch TV). But multi tasking such as browsing forums or watching a movie but still playing the game while cooking or something is fine. Personally, I rarely multi task. Most of the skills I train require constant attention to the computer screen. But I often place a portable DVD player next to the computer screen and watch a movie \ Exactly. How are they going to find out you're watching a movie...

That situation is nonsensical. But let's pretend it's a legitimate question. The answer is: God is almighty, but not all-doing. God cannot sin, God cannot change, etc. And God cannot contradict his being (aka. create something that is outside of his power). Of course it's nonsensical, it's a theoretical approach which God can't fulfill. If there is even theoretically something 'out of his power', he is not almighty.

..If they seriously introduce Texas hold'em (preferably no-limit) with bettable Runescape GP, even if it's just for users verifiably over 18, I will love RS and come back from years of retirement. And oh, nevermind the violence, killing and murder quests in RuneScape. Gambling ruins the world! It's just a game, get over it. And I'd seriously come back for that update.

Do your friends laugh at u for playing rs?
BlueLancer replied to lordbigchang's topic in General Discussion
Somehow if I imagine somebody uttering those words aloud I can imagine the listeners bursting into laughter instead of the former chuckling  -
. I'm not sure you get it. Click on 'quote' on this post and you'll understand. And heaven forbid should you click the 'disable BBCode' when you submit.

That was a direct commandment from the God you believe in. How does he not hate like humans do? But even God can't escape logical fallacies. If God exists and is almighty, he still cannot create a stone so big even he himself can't lift it. If he does, he didn't create an unliftable stone. If he doesn't, he simply isn't capable. And that's just one example.

"not ready to make nice" the true meaning
BlueLancer replied to andufusthebronze's topic in Off-Topic
?! Mind explaining that part... And in case you're wondering, no, Iraq has never waged war with the US, and the 9/11 commission already stated Saddam and his government had no ties to Al-Qaeda nor bin Laden. Don't be a victim of false patriotism. -
Phew, thanks. But your name is 'insane' so I don't know if that counts though.
