Ritual of the Magic Cats
I completed a few quest this weekend and one of them happened to be RotM and some dwarf quest. With 299 qp earned, once I get 80 smithing, I can seriously go for my cape. But I've been a bit lazy. Plus, I don't have as much time on RS during the week, so tend to forcus on D&D's and skilling. Speaking of skiiling. Hunter and smithing should be my next two 80's, then I have to go camp runespan and do warbands for 80 contruction. Then I have to figure out how I will level thieving. Not one of my favorite skills.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Maybe it's me but warband makes a Metal Gear Solid reference. See the huge red exclamation point. Sample text include "Did you see that?" "Did something just move over there?" "Must be my imagination" Those are phase from MGS2 and MGS4 I remember.

Dharok's or Bandos?
Which helm should I use with the cp and tassets then? What do you recommend? :)And what about the gloves/boots? Is my Warrior's Ring good enough or are there any better rings for melee? :) Sorry for so many questions  Thanks in advance, - xoxo F.Mix' Personally I use barrows glovs and bandos boots. Also, your warrior ring is fine. The only other better rings are the 6th age circuit and oxyn for being multiclass at the same crt and the warrior ring (i) at 3.0% crt. As for helm, you could use veracs(t70) for +1 prayer or take a hit in defense and use nezzy(+55) for +3 prayer.

Wilderness Warbands
Not sure how this guide is coming along but here's my 2 cents. 1) When you get there, it is easy to disrupt the beam without being seen. Just stand at the outer edges of the camp and "siphon" the beam. Doing so turns multicombat on. If you get seen run behind the tent and you should be able to continue. It's when you just stand there that the leaders are alerted. to loot, you have to kill all the NPC's at the camp. If successful in summoning, a rival camp comes to assist you and you get 10 minutes to loot. If not, you have 5 minutes. 2) The warband leader is fairly strong with a lot of hp, and he likes to use AOE abilities in a wide range. 3) Loot can't be stored in a BoB nor can use you the Pack Yak's winter storage scroll. 4) There is a friendchat for Warbands: King Warband. Everyone in the chat is suppose to practice the no kill rule. If you kill someone in the chat, they turn on you and will kick you from the chat. Likewise, they try to kick spies, backstabber (bser), and those who falsely alert the chat to a active location. 5) Speaking of locations there are only three: West of the Black Knight Fortress, south east of Red Dragon Isle (canoe and run far east), and east the lava maze but west of the red dragons at level 54. Warbands show up at ach location on any given world. 6) You can't log out for 10 sec once you get the wand and you are teleblock for all loot you get, but if you can make it to Daemonheim, you can take the boats to Lumbridge or Al Kharid. 7) You can only ever loot three of the five supplies; herblore, smithing, mining, construction, farming and cn only loot a max of 25 items per 8 hours even if you die with the supplies. Warbands "reset" at 8amGMT, 4pmGMT, and 12amGMT. And this is an idea of the type of exp you get from doing it. More than twice that of troll invasion. My herblore level was 90 then and was from all 25 supplies applied to herblore. In comparision to looting, the prayer, slayer and summoning exp is not that great. Last warband I went to, I received 9k prayer exp for helping disrupt the beam, (came sorta late), 1.5k for slayer and 36k exp for summoning. My levels are 92 prayer, 79 slayer, and 89 summoning. Hope this helps EDIT: These are the approximate times for warbands on world 99 all in EST: 6:30am, 2:30pm, 10:30pm EDIT EDIT: Reference to MGS maybe... [hide][/hide]

Baby's first chaotic
The title is exactly how it sound. I'm a nub cake, a sexy nub cake. And today I got my first chaotic. Also, if you can see, that's all my current stats. Warbands give some pretty nice exp, so I'm looking to training herby and smithing that way to avoid a huge amount of cost. But pretty soon I'm looking to have 80 slayer and a new weapon. I still have 2 more quest to do (that I said I'll do) thou I have plenty more to my cape. Hopefully I'll have Rocking Out and RotM done today.

Marriage equality, and the SCotUS
I specifically meant our conversation about war and if a free market society is better. That was starting to get off track from the original post =\ Also, sorry your experience with schools were Keynesian economics. But I agree on your point about Mises Institute.

Marriage equality, and the SCotUS
The most productive economies throughout history have been War Economies which typically tend to be anything but "free". Slap me right in the face on the day when I cease to be amazed that people think destruction makes people better off. You've been involved in a broken window fallacy. I would have said it a little differently but that is more or less my response to Gingy. War is a broken window fallacy. All war does is shift resource to something less desirable. The resources spent on tanks and rebuilding destroyed building could have been better spent, not to mention the loss of human capital. Not to mention the Soviet Union was highly productive during the time after WWII and we discovered they were hiding under a disguise. I also like to make the distinction between "free" and other types of society. No society in world is a free market society. The US is an interventionist society where the government intervenes in market affairs. Also, Ring_World, no offense but most school, or at least the one I attend, teach classical economics while touching on other type such as that, neo-classical economics, and Austrian economics. Nonetheless, this specific topic should be taken elsewhere. We should probably stay on same sex marriage.

Marriage equality, and the SCotUS
As to your first point, I misread and I apologize. So the issue of federal benefits is not a problem. My bad. However, to your second point, it would be nice if these couples would be recognized as a married couple in law. I know 50% is not a small number, but that number has grown considerably over the past few years. It's becoming clear that more people, or rather a younger generation of voters, are seeing that there is no reason why same sex marriage could be legal. To point 3, someone is going to lose out because these government programs that give these cash benefits really should not exist be it for couple of the same sex or not. Things like welfare, public housing, and the like don't help a society. There is really too much government invention in place where it does not belong that brings us to questions like these. But discussion of this probably belongs in another topic.

Marriage equality, and the SCotUS
In effect, couples states where same-sex marriage is not legally recognized cannot be compelled to recognize same-sex marriage from states which do recognize it. I don't see how this would change federal benefits eligibility or express a will of the legislature separate from that of the people. It doesn't change any federal benefits. What I am saying is that they don't want to extend the federal benefits to homosexual couples, which I said in a earlier post, limits economic freedom. And as far as a "a will legislature separate from that of the people", recent polls suggest 50% of the US population think that homosexual should be allowed to marry. As for the other 50% that do not, allowing same sex marriage doesn't hurt anything but their sense of morality. And the feeling of morality is unimportant...? No. But my main concern with this is economic freedom. Societies with greater economic freedoms benefit from greater growth and prosperity, for example, from new ideas and productivity, just to name a few. So for me I rank that higher than my moral feelings about marriage. As mentioned in my above post 50% of the population believe same sex marriage should be legal; morally, they feel men should be able to marry men, and women with women. In this case, I believe not supporters of same sex marriage are just hurting society as a whole.

Marriage equality, and the SCotUS
I was under the impression that the federal government had remained pretty much silent on the issue, leaving it to the states and the people of the states. It's my understanding that California's prop8 and Michigan's 04-2, for example, were public acts initiated and approved by voters. Probably so, but DOMA was signed into law in 1996, which I still consider pretty recent. Even if other states recognize same-sex marriage, those couples still can't claim benefit like other couples, such as Social Security. The fact that DOMA is still active suggest to me that is what the federal government truly believes regardless of what individual states decide.

Marriage equality, and the SCotUS
So does that make a heterosexual marriage where one or both partners are infertile less of a marriage than one where they can have kids? What if a couple chooses not to have kids? You really can't define marriage based on whether or not they can have children. I agree with Kaida. Plenty of people have children without being married, and plenty can't have children, so defining marriage as when two people have kids is just silly. I thought marriage was a civil union between two people who decide to remain monogamous. So aren't you being rather bias in saying that. Or do you refuse to acknowledge that homosexual couples can raise children just as well or better as heterosexual couples? The US government would like to have it between a man and women. But either way, denying homosexual couples the rights to marry limiteds economic freedoms which can hurt a society looking to prosper.

Sara GWD inquiry
1) This is the wrong place to ask your question. Questions go in Help and advice. But someone should move this soon. 2) To answer your question, GWD can be done with Soul Split, so if you are willing, you should use your 50m to get 92 prayer. Since you are getting 10 kills already soul split would only be a huge advantage to you. Also, you do happen to have skills to make money. Your combat is good for barrows, which with a bit of camping can make you enough to buy higher herblore levels or get somewhere in the process of drygore. Also, you can herb farm and do Managing Miscellania.

25-Mar-2013 - Wilderness Warbands
EDIT: Adding more info for interested. So I went to 5 warbands and learned some things. 1) When you get there, it is easy to disrupt the beam without being seen. Just stand at the outer edges of the camp and "siphon" the beam. Doing so turns multicombat on. 2) If you get seen run behind the tent and you should be able to continue. It's when you just stand there that the leaders are alerted. 3) The warband leader is fairly strong with a lot of hp, and he likes to use AOE abilities in a wide range. 4) If you mess up, you have to kill all the NPC's at the camp. If successful, a rival camp does the dirty work for you. 5) Half the time people just rush, so you likely mess up and can can only loot for 5 mins. Loot can't be stored in a BoB nor can use you the Pack Yak's winter storage scroll. 6) There is a friendchat for Warbands: King Warband. Everyone in the chat is suppose to practice the no kill rule. If you kill someone in the chat, they turn on you and will kick you from the chat. Likewise, they try to kick spies, backstabber (bser), and those who falsely alert the chat to a active location. 7) Specking of locations there are only three: West of the Black Knight Fortress, south east of Red Dragon Isle, and somewhere near the lava maze. 8) Pk clans show up relatively 2 minutes after you get to loot in which it becomes a kill fest. And this is an idea of the type of exp you get from doing it. More than twice that of troll invasion. My herblore level is 90.

25-Mar-2013 - Wilderness Warbands
It's annoying Jagex didn't add something so simple as a "a new warband will appear..." considering this goes on a rolling timer and not a fixed timer like Big Chinchompa and sinkholes. Pretty soon 2 theme worlds will pop up and I can see a friendchat for people outside those worlds. What I want to know, how long will serious pkers stay around for this update or if this update pulled some players from 07scape with the hope of the return of pking. From what I gathered, very few risked higher than royal d'hide/crystal bow or batwing or grifolic/polypore staff and rune armor/whip and ee. I don't much about pking, but it seems that they aren't hardcore pkers.

Or that skill capes are now useless. Were they ever meant to be useful? Probably not. But at least quest capers and skill capers are equal in terms of cape. I probably won't enjoy warbands like other people here, since I don't pk. But I still like the update, so I'll try it at least once. But I like like thee patch notes more...

Runescape 2007: Godwars Dungeon?!? Eoc U-Turn?
Agreed. Toggled Momemtum was one of the sugested agenda items that non EoC supporters and supporters in general, so that was coming no matter what happened in OSRS. Also, I'm still disappointed that people are saying "I miss specs". If you actually examine the abilites, they are the specs, just applied to a lot more weapons. My go to example is the Dark Bow/Magic Bow and Dclaws. Those specs are represented in the Two Shot and Havoc abilities. Two Shot can be used for any range weapon and Havoc for any dual weild weapon. spec still exist. I mostly think people just won't accept that, or are upset their Dclaws value dropped now that almost any weapon can mimic it's special.
