  1. A) Something I'd like to see is an improvement to how they "teach" the new combat. Not, saying the tutorial is bad, because it does the job. However, they sorta just how you abilities and what they do, when you'd use them on their own and have you kill a few skellies, then send you on your way. I'd like it if they showed abilities, told you the types and what they do in each combat style, as in the current tutorial, but also: 1) Take multiple abilities and show a short of sample combo, not just use basics until max bar then ultimate. More like giving you the task like "receive no hit from this melee type monster" where they say, "use stuns to keep the monster in place, then attack him with basics and a threshold. Your stun only last for 6 secs so you only have 6 sec to do the job". Something that forces you to think about a combo of sorts for each combat style. 2) Use actual monsters instead of weak to everything weak skeletons, according to your level, better showing you why range would be better than melee, and why using bolts would be the best on a bolt weak monster. 3) Go over prayer and potions as how they are good boost (for new players). 4) Review weapon tiers and appropriate tiers for your level (again, mostly for new players) B) I'd like for them to strictly stick to the combat triangle even at high tiers. I once had a slayer task of Black Dragons and was completing against a guy with an Arma Battlestaff. Black Dragons are suppose to be strong against magic, so their should be no reason for him to hit constant 2k+ even with 99 magic. 1k hits are fine given his 99 magic but even if my crystal bow and range level is 10 below him (89 range at the time) I should out damage him. Even at 80/90 tier weapon unless it is a boss I really think the combat triangle needs to be enforced.
  2. OMG, Jason, you did it. Eww...
  3. Still waiting on the "How to make herblore more expensive" public meeting that's suppose to be this month...
  4. 1) Good you have emailed. 2) I know you can't post on another account behalf. But you could have posted (on one of you account prior to mute) that you recognize players are being muted for a crime not listed without it alluding to yourself.
  5. I'm pretty sure that getting muted on 4 different account for saying the same thing would be clear proof that it's against the rule. Like a norm. So if a policeman arrests me tomorrow under a law which doesn't exist, and the magistrate asks for evidence I've broken this law, the police say "...Well obviously the fact we've arrested him four times proves he did it!" No. Which is why I said Vann has a right to be upset because this poor sloppy work on Jagex because they have noy posted this rule anywhere in the guides. However, what Vann is doing is adding oil to a fire. He is continuing to test the bounds of Jagex's limits by logging on to other account to break a rule he now knows exist. Yes he's done nothing wrong but we haven't heard him say he's posted on RSOF expressing how Jagex is wrong for their action. He's debating people on here, some of whom have said "Yes, we agree Jagex is bogus, but you should really stop doing it since you now know." Now the situation is different if Jagex had indeed changed changed the rules in writing, and will be different once they do, because they don't have to announce it... Wait, didn't Jagex mention in the written March BTS they they were changing the gambling in Runescape...If so then we have our answer. Sort of.
  6. For that you are correct. They should have announced it. However, news travels fast, and in our ever increasing technical society we hear about thing on Facebook, etc. before it even hits the news. You know know better, and I'm pretty sure Jagex knows word got out faster than they can tell you. Now that you KNOW better one should DO better. When my mother is upset at me, she doesn't say it all the time. She shows me by her tone and actions. Jagex is showing you. I do agree it is poor policy on their account and sloppy, at the same time you can't continue to use this excuse because you been muted 4 time now, and your son once. You now know.
  7. I'll try. The alcohol prohibition in the US gave rise to a black market where sellers enjoyed monopolistic profits by engaging in an illegal activity. This also increased violence and help in the innovation of drinks such as the cocktail until it was repealed. Famous Economist Milton Friedman identifies the War on Drug as the same thing, and contributes the Crack Epidemic as a response the governments lock down on illegal substance. He states that crack would have never occurred had the government not banned weed. Speaking from a purely economic standpoint, prohibition is not a means to an end. Obviously, these two point aren't as serious as gambling in RS, but what I propose is that Jagex allows it but in the same way alcohol is. Make it legal but within a settling they can control, or as mentioned in this tread on occasions, as a money sink. Clearly the market for it exist despite the overwhelming negative response on this tread. Turn part of that game room and "tax" gambling in RS with in-game currency. Provide a better alternative the H/C chats that sit in the GE to force those people out of the market as sellers.
  8. The fact that your three "throwaway" accounts are being muted means that it is against the rules. Not saying it's fair but you are adding oil to a burning fire...
  9. The new quest has only a 140 combat requirement, no quest. But because you haven't done RotM you can't get the full rewards that comes with doing it (best in game ring, new slayer mobs and pet). However, I very much recommend you do it as this quest is suppose to be "LIFE CHANGING" (and it is). The rewards for completing the story without the other quests are well worth it.
  10. [hide] You have to be 18 to gamble in a casino. Also, gambling companies are about the most regulated industry in existence, with every single aspect heavily regulated to deter crime and protect the gambler against shady casinos. In the United States, running an unlicensed gambling ring is a federal offense. And they still don't hold casinos responsible for gamblers decisions. Also, saying in the USA running unlicensed gambling ring is a federal offense is fine, but tell me where running one in RS is against the RS laws? The point is, until this is made an in game rule (which it currently is not), then it is moot. I'm not saying you're wrong in regards to the laws IRL, but comparing the game to IRL laws can't really be used. It's against the law to kill people, but this is done in the game on a regular basis (along with all the various forms of violent actions). It's against the law to fish without a permit / cut trees down without permits. It's against the law to gamble without a license, yet people can in RS have been doing it since the introduction of RS with staking, and more recent, flower poker. It's against the law to sell weapons to others, especially minors, yet you can sell these to other people in RS. You want to compare to RL, how about the fact that people with gambling addictions destroys their lives and possibly their loved ones lives in RL, same as it destroys the integrity of the game in RS. [/hide] Fixed. You were kinda generalizing there.
  11. You mean the Andrea that should have stabbed the Governor way back when...Grrr I too enjoyed this episode a lot, but I was really sad Morgan didn't join the party but I'm glad Rick saw what became of him. He needed that wake up call. Oh well, I'm still banking on the earlier black couple to join the crew when they see how crazy the governor is.
  12. Waterfiends/Icefiends, dark beast and black demons.
  13. Really? Not even poker without any real life spending or rewards? That sucks. [hide] http://www.facebook....ource=appcenter and http://www.goonersgu...us_players.html [/hide] American can play fake poker all day. And there are still some actual site that take US players for real money. There is no reward for play poker sites as everyone just chip dumps. And the few real money sites that take US players (Lock, Carbon, etc.) are sketchy and have 3-6 month payout times. So basically, no real poker in the states. I never said there is reward, etc. I am just disproving your point. Americans can play poker, be it real and shady or fake and safe.
  14. Really? Not even poker without any real life spending or rewards? That sucks. 15. Hurry up and get mining and firemaking! Go go go!
  16. I know the thread you are talking about as far as the dual wielding goes. I don't have claws and such but based on the weapons I do have, that thread is pretty much correct. A) For hitting multiple targets and actively using abilities use a 2h. B) For hitting 1 target at a time, momentum or abilities, dual wield. 1) The best weapons for dual wield would be claws or any 4 tick (fastest) weapon. So using something like battleaxes and longsword receive a penalty. 2) The abilities average accuracy comes from the average of the main and offhand tiers. If you aren't use about a weapon look at the stats or: For magic the higher the tier the better. SOL is good for all around but for something like QBD or GWD you'd want the best you can afford to get. So if at all possible get a Chaotic Staff. However, for you are trying to make money off of QBD then you should be using range. Chaotic crossbow or better, best being the Royal crossbow. Lastly, the new quest The World Wakes unlocks new abilities. not sure if you've done it yet, but you probably should.
  17. ^I did the quest last night. Just follow what he says. Use dual wield fast hitting weapons and the highest food you can. If need bring a BoB. Don't wear armor but weight reducing clothes help (I did without it). When she rages lure her to the water and she'll cool off. Also watch for the firewall and run to the open spot. It's also possible to just run through them as you may get caught between tick (or something like that) and not receive damage. But I don't recommend it unless Char is near you and you can't get to the open spot on the wall. Better to run far from her and take wall damage while eating/healing.
  18. Not to many monster are aggressive so unless they are like Hellhounds the best I can think you can do in momentum so it is less click intensive. However, using you abilities makes task so faster.
  19. There are plenty of way to kill her as suggested by the many guides on YouTube. In general: Magic: SOL, Bloodfire Blitz (or better), Full Ahrims (or better), Mage cape, Seers ring, Glory or better. 1 super antifire, 1 super magic pot (or Venca Skull), 2 to 4 prayer flask, and food. A War Tort helps. Range: Royal xbow with Royal bolts, Full Karil's (or better), Ava device, Archer ring, Ranging amulet. 1 super antifire, 1 super range pot, 2 to 4 prayer flask, food. Once you learn her you can adjust as needed.
  20. Okay. Thanks.
  21. Man I hate you. Like, these levels bro. Where do they all come from. And you quest so fast...so so fast... Putting my blog to shame homie... You know what, nope! I don't even care! I DON'T!
  22. So just so I'm clear on dual wielding vs. 2h. A) For hitting multiple targets and actively using abilities use a 2h. B) For hitting 1 target at a time and using momentum dual wield. 1)The best weapons for dual wield would be claws or any 4 tick (fastest) weapon. So using something like battleaxes and longsword receive a penalty and are otherwise bad to use. 2) The abilities average comes from the average of the main and offhand tiers. Anything I'm not understanding?
  23. What about full subgation and a master wand? would that work better? also would i have to buy dfs (magic) or can i just use my normal dfs? I do already duo alot in gwds, but im not getting too many good drops, and im looking for something with a bit less effort and risk. I do plan on getting my dungeoneering up higher, and herblore but summoning will be leved up after all my other stats. Due to the weapon rebalanced in January the master wand is not a good high level weapon at all. The accuracy is very low, so you won't be hitting anything which means Wyverns are largely avoided unless you have a Ahrims wand of better. Even if you have a DFS you won't be able to harm them with master. Also it's a multi combat dungeon. Something else I forgot to mention is Barrows and dragons. Decent money is still to be had at Barrows, and thanks to recent bot nuke, one could slay dragons for decent cash as bone a hide price have been increasing.
  24. I am on the fence about it. I do not engage in trading EoCgp for OSRSgp and I myself don't feel comfortable doing it. However, I also view it different. The two games are separate yes, but exist in the same world. I view it like trading between two different countries. If I travel to say China, I either earn money in the form of their currency, or exchange my US dollars for Yuan. The current exchange rate between the two 1US = 6.22Yuan, so for each dollar I get more yuan and I can buy more Chinese products in China. My dollar is very attractive. Much is the same with EOCRS and OSRS. They are two different countries with exchange rates between them. Some people are deciding to work in OSRS for their "Chinese Yuan" while others are deciding to exchange the "US dollars" they have in EOC for "Yuan". Such a thing can't be avoided, especially when everyone is made to start off fresh. The problems problems as pointed out earlier are the competitive nature and RWT. The fact of the matter is, RWT would exist even if this was banned. We may not see it as soon in OSRS but since bots are already coming in RWT can be assumed to exist. Of course it's easier given the trading between game but banning such would decrease RWT so long as people are willing to do so. Given such the competitiveness of the game is also lost. I think RWT at large is a problem, however; absence of that the competitive nature of it doesn't bother me. If I have the ability to trade currencies to make progress a little easier then me not doing so only makes it harder for me. Trading currencies is just another form getting the correct gp needed. Of course I don't do it because of the risk involved, which is trust trading. I guess I said this to say I am indifferent to either way because of my belief that be it banned or not, RWT will be a constant; otherwise they are simply like US dollars and Chinese Yuan. On a side note, has anyone considered that Jagex hasn't made it a bannable offense because they realize to engage in the activity you need EOC gp which requires you to actually play EOC Runescape assuming you aren't engaged in RWTing? Just a thought, even if they don't like Trust trading they see that enough people are will to act within legal bounds and monster hunt/skill/quest in EOC to earn gp, which they trade for gp in OSRS; since cross game trading isn't illegal it gets you as the consumer to play both products which is something they want..right?
