  1. It is. But realistically Jagex is trying to bring pking back, which in some way it has. That absurd amount of exp lures in skillers who otherwise would have never showed up. If you take a look at the price of batwing, royal and black dragonhide sets, those have gone up. The problem with measuring things like farming and herblore is that they are very volatile skills. You would think herbs would fall in price but they've been stable thus far. Lantadymnes are like 7k a pop. At any given day prices can tank for no reason. And you can still die with resources (I have twice and lost 200k worth of herb exp). Warbands may eventually bring a lot more pkers now that worlds have timers. I actually think resources will go up in the long run for just about every skill but construction.
  2. This topic got WAY out of hand... The general idea is that on start, using barrows and t70 gear is fine, but when you can, you should increase to better resources. If you really can't be bothered to spend too much money, go to QBD, or what have you then Range: Karil's, barrows gloves, dragonrider boots, ava device, 6th age circuit, amulet of ranging and a crystal bow for arrow weak monster and a black salamander for bolt weak. Magic: Ahrim's or Akrisae, ganodermic gloves and boots, mage cape, 6th age circuit, arcane steam and staff or light. Try barraging/bursting slayer monsters magic weak. Melee: Verac's (or whatever barrows melee you prefer. Verac's provide prayer bonus), barrows gloves, fury (since you already have it iirc) dragonrider boots, fire cape, 6th age circuit and saradomin sword for crush, a godsword for slash, and zammy spear for stab. Anything better than that improves your slaying. Example already listed by a bunch of people here. To answer some other questions. Yes, a slayer helm is worth using. You should make an effort for void and the royal crossbow, and when you get the levels/tokens you should get a maul, vine whip/chaotic claw + EE, and still use zammy spear for stab or go for rapiers.
  3. Oh how I envy your skill levels. if only one could recolor Testu back to the blue color.
  4. And I would be busy all day today too. Ah well, hopefully I will be able to jump right in when I get home this evening. After I download Chrome...
  5. Mixed feelings. Now I don't have to camp Warband FC and panic run to a camp when called...But that also means pkers know when a camp is active. A lot more pkers. This opens up more organization on both sides of the coin. May my increased deaths be glorious. :D But at least they fixed that dragonfire arrow glitch. Heard a lot of skillers having trouble from level 4 pkers who abuse that like crazy. As for duel arena, while I don't really duel, I love shiny new things. I may drop by and see just how nice of a graphical update this is.
  6. Same really for Warband FC, except they meet at the Edgeville Bridge when it is requested. As far a Warband FC goes, yes you are required to gear up in the same fashion as Warband PK. The calls are also the same. Unarmed people in the FC are killed. Also, armed white dots are killed. Warband works in he described it. you have to disrupt the beam to change it's color, then again siphion from it to summon rival forces to help kill off the NPCs, all without being seen. If you are seen you have to kill the NPC yourself, and the time to loot is cut into half. If you you want to learn a bit more, read the general discussion page on it. Lastly, if you are seen in WPK and more than 2 people can identify it's you, you'll get blacklisted from any other chat. also, looting counts as a go at a warband, so should you die with loot, it counts against you.
  7. "Meghan, We have reviewed the applicants for our fall internship and would like to speak with you about the position in an interview at our office. We need three things from you before moving forward." "Hi, Thank you for applying to Loop’s Summer Internship Program. Please be advised that the application process closes Monday, April 15th at which time we will start our selection process. You will be notified of a decision on or about May 15th." :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD This, is good news. I never ever EVER thought these people get back to me, or offer me any type of interview. If God would be so good to me, I'll do great on my interview from the first company then get an interview and rock it from Loop. 2 internships in the summer and fall would be sooooooo great! Now on to Runescape [hide] Dat RotM icon [/hide] I also got bored recently, so I decided to go to Zammy GWD and went to 2 seperate hour solo trips. [hide] [/hide] I'm rich [cabbage] BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Naw, jk. But it was kinda fun. Since I need 80 crafting and can't get it in a reasonable time with urns, I'll be bossing more. I eventually have to do A Love Story so ideallly that is my next quest to cape. Until next time ya'll.
  8. Okay. Just making sure. I heard from a clan member or two, and someone in the hyt chat that he wasn't. but maybe that's not a problem anymore.
  9. Wewt! I have time to get void. Bad news is I might not be able to go, as I have visitors coming to ee me. And papers to write. If I am on at 4pm I will be there thou.
  10. Nothin, just wondering if there are some good methods, if not, I'll stick to slayer. Not sure if my suggestion will help, but my clan usually go for either hellhounds, fire giants, or deadly red spiders. They quoted 150k exp an hour at spiders with a maul.
  11. I read your blog! When I remember. Which isn't often. So I often get lost and confused.
  12. Pfft. VSB isn't even that hard. Mark, you have the levels to do it now. I command thee to do eeet! Also, as if we couldn't see dat.gif in small print...
  13. Ignoring the facetious argument above I hear the charm imp maybe a little broken, as in he doesn't always give you the charms you want him to collect or he doesn't pick them up at all. Can anyone confirm this?
  14. If you still have trouble with range after PvmDG suggestions then I recommend using magic. Staff of light + ancients (blood/ice blitz) + range protect (I hear the magic boosting prayers are broken but you can use them as you wish). If you have Ganodermic armor, wear it, otherwise Ahrim's/Akrisae is fine. This should allow you to kill off souls and worms pretty easy. However, it still requires a bit of food so war tort (or yak) of sharks is recommended.
  15. Okay so I think there are about 4 chats for warbands. Well technically 3. The fourth one I think is actually more a pker chat that happens to do warbands. King Warband - First popular chat up. Killed for 2 days due to another chat. Came back. Is the most lax chat of the 4 but usually avoid most of the warbands as other chat get them. As such waiting there is long. Warband FC - The 1st or 2nd popular (depends on who you ask) of the warband chats. Rule: Every member must come armed in t60 or above (weapon and armor) or you are killed on the spot. Armed white dots are also killed, on the spot. It's a 50/50 chance for unarmed white dots. 100% if you end up with the wand. Warband PK - Same as Warband FC I assume except all white dots get pked. About half and half warband/pking. You can be possibly blacklisted by the first 2 chats if anyone recognizes you and confirm you have been there. So there's a little use at your own risk there. But the word on the playground is they are better than any other there. Saintprodigy - Actual pk FC that works during warband time. No matter what chat you enter their will be backstabbing and chance of death.
  16. Only 94 herblore. Pfft. I got 92 herb the poor man's way. I'm not even a year old P2P. YOU SUCK!
  17. You mention 75k an hour at dung, but how fast would you have to be at a dung for it to be effective, or to match that rate? Not very fast, but you need t10 binds or higher and ignore non-GD monsters as usual. Momentum probably matters less than in normal dgs because you can fish during combat. Alright. thank you.
  18. Er...I may or may not come. I sorta have a paper and whatnot to write but if I remember I'll more than likely show up.
  19. Not at all. He's some kid that is convinced he is in love with me and won't leave me alone about that. I think he's trolling >.>
  20. You mention 75k an hour at dung, but how fast would you have to be at a dung for it to be effective, or to match that rate?
  21. I realize I'm a noob, but what is the significants of the 9.6 sec?
  22. [/hide] If people didn't fear the Wilderness, then there wouldn't be any calls for removing the dangerous parts of it... You have to remember, the person that goes after these Warbands' XP loots is the same type of person who would (back in the day, anyways) use the Abyss to do some Runecrafting... And the ones who would Abyss-pk are the same ones who now go after the ones wearing nothing or just welfare gear while looting these camps... And sadly, the person complaining that he lost his Glory, is the same person that now complains he didded sum expee-waistun cuz he dun got killed... This isn't economics... Not for that PK-er anyways... This is the thrill of a kill, and also the thrill of surviving an attack... If there is some numpty willing to kill "innocent" skillers (no such thing as innocence in the Wilderness) for their 4000GP per looted crate (but it's more for the kill than the loot), there will always be some self-righteous person willing to take up that shield and harass the harasser... And even so; for you to fully partake in all possible benefits of the Warcamps, you need more than just luck to not get killed; you're gonna want to help disrupt a beam, and summon in some allies and kill that boss... This requires at least SOME gear and equipment to be brought... It won't completely revive the Wilderness, but grudges run deep... So this is what is known as a good start... This is where my complaint is in. Over half the players come expecting the camp to be lootable by the time they get there. The other half don't go until it is. Then when someone ruins the beam, they hide behind a tent until all the NPCs are killed. Then they wonder why couldn't get 76 herblore or whatnot. The [cabbage] you mean why does camps take so long to deal with?! Why can't we loot in peace?! You aren't suppose to be able to loot in peace. You are suppose to be on guard. And knowing what it takes for a camp to be successful, you should be willing to help. Even if this is a start, I doubt it would get much better than this. Most the serious pkers were fans of the old combat system, and they went to 07scape. I don't think they'll come back now that they've gotten what they consider the glory of Runescape (not saying it's not, just saying that's what thier beliefs are).
  23. I feel much the same about myself. My cultural interests aren't particularly outgoing; gaming, listening to music, watching sports. I'm easily at my happiest (ecstatic, almost) when I'm at music gigs, but my music interests aren't similar to any of my friends so I don't tend to go to them. I used to play sports as a kid, but being 5'0" makes it difficult to carry on ;) Personality-wise, I'm pretty reserved and very intuitive about other people, and I'm all too tempted to "clam up" when I'm around people I don't know. When I was around 20 years old, I probably hit the lowest point in my life, mentally. I'd just left medical school and I had no work history, the recession had started. I had to go fortnightly to the Job Centre to pick up my dole money... it was humiliating. I was very confused about my future and very vulnerable, knowing I had to get a job and simply not having the faintest idea where to start finding one. I realised that the lack of experience was a massive turn-off to employers--I had no work skills, how could I be trusted to learn a new job and stick with it? So I started volunteering a lot. Like, any opportunity they had for me to volunteer and get out of the house for a few hours doing something practical and useful, I snatched it. My confidence improved massively, and I suddenly had something at my core that I'd invested in and wanted to see through and nourish. I think that's what they call "drive". That led to a job, which meant my work skills rapidly developed. Suddenly I had a belief that my work was making a practical difference, some kind of public benefit, and that actually I was quite good at it. In the space of six months, I went from doing nothing and being nothing useful, to learning a trade and doing something that meant so much to me. It was crap pay and I was on casual hours, around 25 hours/wk, so no job security, but I didn't mind one bit. I loved it. From there I applied to university... I may still have a very naive and rosy impression of the career I've now chosen, but I honestly believe it's something that I'll continue to treasure and gain immense satisfaction from for, hopefully, a long time. I think that's the secret. If I'd have bounced into a career I couldn't care less about... office work, for example, I'd have hated it because it would have meant nothing to me. Purposefully finding something I care deeply about and something I find challenging on a daily basis gives me a passion I can show to other people. It gives me a confidence to say in my head 'I don't really care what you think of me, unless it's something about the stuff I care deeply about, so like me or lump me'. On a more practical note, I prefer talking to other people about their thoughts and feelings. I figured it's what comes more naturally to me; I'm not a "showy" person, I let my actions do the talking. It frustrates people sometimes because they expect you to contribute slightly to the conversation; I only tend to add anecdotes to conversations. But most people in the world, as I imagine most people here, are self-obsessed enough to be flattered that you want to talk about them so much. Sometimes people ask me "Hey, wanna join us." In my head, I go "YES YES YES!" But the words that come out of my mouth are "Naw, I'm good." Then I go back wondering, "What's wrong with me." I do enjoy my own company a lot but I don't wanna be alone all the time. Also, I don't wanna go through what you did Gingy. All this school and no work. I really [cabbage]ed in college when I did bad at my first 2 years as an engineering student. I'm doing much better in Economist but looking at the job market, I shot myself in the foot. Gingy I feel a lot like you. Not as smart but still. I like talking about others thoughts a feelings too. I always assumed I was odd sense I dislike conflict and would enjoy just not knowing somethings I learn. But that's where I'm most comfortable I suppose. I like knowing where I stand all the time.
